Breakups aren’t easy, that’s a widely known fact. But it hits different when you’re actually going through it.
It’s been exactly 4 months since Golden cheese broke up with White lily, and to say that White lily has been doing not so well would be an understatement. A big one.
On her commute to work, White lily saw her ex lover’s familiar golden hair. The train she was on immediately started to smell just like the perfume Golden cheese used to wear. Soon, White lily found herself getting off on the next stop. She needed to escape the thoughts of her but of course that’s practically impossible. How was she supposed to forget Golden cheese when she still wore the sweater she left behind or the golden necklace that she gave her on the day their first year anniversary. And the fact that they worked at the same company wasn’t helping White lily’s case at all.
Arriving at her desk, she gazed at Golden cheese from afar. She still emanated that same radiant energy White lily was so captivated by. She missed it. The warmth she always got from it was so comforting, she became dependent on it. The cheerful hellos and the calming late night cuddles they shared all lingered in her mind. It was never ending. And seeing Golden cheese greet other people with that same warmth was eating at her.
She can’t move on.
Till she figures out how to let go, she’ll love her from afar and cling on to whatever memories of them she has left.
