Work Text:
It had been suspiciously quiet at the New York Sanctum as of late and Wong was…concerned.
Usually he’d get texts daily from Stephen complaining about something either Magic related or just life related but he’d complain all the same. It was how Wong could keep track of his friend and know that things were normal.
Now for the past week there has been radio silence. It was concerning that something happened to disrupt a universal constant that was Stephen Strange complaining about something. So, it was with trepidation that he portaled into the New York Sanctum. After lurking through Stephen’s usual spots, Wong finally found the man in sweatpants and a Columbia hoodie sprawled across his couch while a dog laid on his chest, curled up peacefully.
Well…it wasn’t a normal dog. At least, the slight green glow and the ability for said dog to be transparent wasn’t a trait of most basset hounds that Wong had heard of. The dog opened its eyes at the subtle sounds of Wong entering the room and frowned as much as a dog could do.
“Shh, he finally fell asleep. Come back later.” The dog whispered before setting its head back down.
Well.
If a talking ghost dog was telling Wong not to wake up Stephen, who was Wong to say no? He could always check in tomorrow, hopefully when things made sense.
