Izuku's pov:
With all the villain attacks that have been happening recently it's become practically impossible to get permission to leave the dorms for anything so when aizawa-sensei told me i could visit my mum on the condition that he take me to her apartment as well as back to UA and pro heroes patrol by her place at all times. So after i said my goodbyes to everyone in the dorms we left to take me home, it wasn't until we were only a few streets away from home when we heard a scream as soon as we heard it we stopped dead in our tracks, before i could even turn my head towards the alleyway next to us to see what the scream was about i felt a little body barrel into me within seconds there was a bright flash that surrounded all three of us.
It took rapidly blinking a few times before my eyes stopped hurting when i was finally able to keep my eyes open without pain i was able to register where i was and who was with me, were sitting on an old fashioned brick road with bright green trees on either side of the road aizawa sensei was leaning against a tree stump doing his own round of rapidly blinking, i couldn't faintly hear a voice saying something about a hero acquisition being obtained there was other stuff it was saying but by now it was too quiet to hear so i decided to continue scanning my surroundings which is when i thought i saw movement in the treeline in the distance but i couldnt be to sure so i waited for sensei to finish getting his bearings back before saying anything but instead sensei beat me to the punch “midoriya are you hurt?”
“No, I'm fine but where are we?weren't we just in musutafu? i didnt think places had roads like this anymore?”
Before I could go on a mumble rant, sensei stood up and gave me his hand so I could be helped standing up. That's when I chose to speak up about possibly seeing something in the tree line down the road a few minutes prior. “Well we don't know where we are or who could be waiting to ambush us so lets go the other way” with that sensei started walking along the road looking every which way to keep an eye on the surroundings. As we walked I took notice of anything that seemed out of place but the only thing i could truly note was the feeling of eyes staring me down from every angle not in a ‘im gonna kill you’ way either they just felt assessing almost as if whoever was watching was trying to gage me and sensei what exactly is this person looking for though and are the good or bad?
I got pulled out of my thoughts due to bumping into senseis back i went to ask sensei why he stopped but i heard an unfamiliar voice speak
“hi, what brings yall to tempest?” I moved to the side of sensei to see the speaker, the voice belonged to a short green boy? Guy? I couldn't tell if he was a child or adult so i settled on late teen to be sure he was wearing a white shirt with tan pants he's also wearing a brown jacket that has greyish white fur along the edges of the coat he also had the same stuff the coat was made out of as some weird hanging piece of fabric along his waist almost like a skirt but it was missing the front piece of fabric to BE a skirt. wait Tempest?? Sensei made a ‘huh?’ sound while i made a confused face.
“Yeeea tensura, that's the country you guys are headed towards. Di-did you guys mean to head towards tensura if not i should be able to guide you guys to wherever your….tryna…go” he trailed off at the end when me and sensei just became more visibly confused.
“Sorry weird question but where is japan?” sensei said with pure resignation in his voice i almost wanted to laugh at his tone like we did when at the dorms and either mina or denki would get most the class onboard to do something very much stupid that always leads to someone getting hurt but alas instead i shared his feeling of dread and resignation cuz i to am curious where we are and how far from home we are.
The green boy got a look of surprised ‘oh’ on his face he went to grab our hands when sensei whipped his captor scarf at green boy i got into a fighting stance and so did sensei thats when the green boy backed up waving his hands in a placating manor while saying “woah woah woah wait im not gonna hurt yall im taking you guys to lord rimuru hes also from japan so he can explain things to you guys”
I didn't know whether i should believe the boy or not but sensei seems to have chosen to place at least some trust in him so we began walking though we did stay a few steps behind the green boy i chose to try and break the tension “s-so my name i-is i-izuku midoriya what y-yours?”
The boy startled at that and gained a sheepish look meaning the boy likely didn't realize he never told us his name “oh! My name is gobta sorry i thought i told you guys already”
After a few minutes I nudged sensei’s side to get him to say his name “mines shota aizawa ... .So who's this rimuru you're taking us to?” as he spoke i noticed a massive city in the distance i assumed that's tempest.
“Ah lord rimuru is the ruler of tempest federation which is the country just up ahead now im pretty sure you guys are a type of summon since you dont look like any monster species so your situation is a little different then lord rimurus since he reincarnated here but he’ll still be helpful after all he was the most recent person to come from japan before you guys so he should help you guys a lot easier anything else about lord rimuru you wanna know?” i of course had A LOT of questions but i held them back since they were probably invasive to ask someone else just cuz they know him. So I let sensei be the one to choose if we keep asking about this ‘lord rimuru’ but it seems like sensei decided that was enough for now.
We arrived to the entrance of the country a lot quicker than i thought we would thats when i noticed that wherever we were had a lot of people with mutation type quirks it was almost odd seeing so many mutations quirks and so little mental or emitter type quirks in one area i started to mumble about the types of quirks their mutations could have made i got startled out of it though when gobta spoke up again “i dont know what these quirks are your talking about but those ‘mutations’ is due to their species type like how im green due to being a hobgoblin either way it wont be much longer till we reach lord rimuru hes currently in his office.” I was a little shocked that he didn't know what a quirk was but I figured I'd get my answer for that when we finally reached rimuru.
“Oh who are these people gobta? And why are you taking them to lord rimuru when they dont have a meeting scheduled?” a feminine voice said from our side all three of us stopped our journey to talk to the person the voice belongs to, when i looked in the direction of the voice i made eye contact with an average height women with bright pink hair that's put in a low pony tail she has two white horns on the top of her head and she's wearing a white kimono with red embroidery and a red kimono skirt with traditional sandals to match i blushed and looked away when i realized i was looking at her for to long luckily it seemed no one in our little group noticed instead sensei was to busy studying the girl himself and gobta was busy explaining to shuna that were from japan and he found us just mindlessly wondering the road once he was done explaining the girl seemed to be a lot more willing to let us see this rimuru guy she then turned to me and sensei and spoke directly to us “hello my name is shuna im lord rimurus economic advisor lord rimuru should be done with his meeting by the time we reach his office”
“Oh yea! I forgot lord rimuru was in a meeting with hero hinata” i was confused on who this hinata person gobta was referring to but he called her a hero so i didnt feel the need to be weary of her but i did have to constantly remind myself not to go into a mumble rant about the types of heroes this place might have.
About 20 minutes later we reached a massive building me and sensei followed gobta and shuna as we made winding twists and turns before we finally stopped in front of a double door after a few seconds of standing there shuna gave a gentle knock to the door and peeked her head in “lord rimuru i have two people that need your help are you busy right now?” I heard a voice from inside the room mumble something I couldn't hear before a slightly louder “alright send them in ill see what they need” was heard. Once those words were spoken shuna pulled her head out of the door way and opened the door further with the door being open i could finally put a face to the rimuru guy except rimuru doesn't exactly look like a guy but i assume rimuru actually is a guy since everyone uses he/him when talking about him, rimuru was sitting at his desk from what i could see he has sky blue hair that looks to be as soft as silk it seemed to glow a little actually now that i look closer anyways he was wearing a blue jacket with a fluffy scarf wrapped around his neck I couldn't quite see what the rest of him looked like though seeing as im standing just inside the room by the door that i just noticed got closed at some point during my analysis of the guy we were brought to that apparently was also from japan then again his facial features where that of japanese decent but at the same time gobta said he was reincarnated so how does he have japanese facial features.
I heard rimuru giggle which made me realize i was mumbling about him to his face! Thankfully it seems rimuru isn't upset by it if anything he looked like he was amused but he ended my embarrassment by speaking up “quite the analytical mind ya got there to explain your confusion on that yes i was reincarnated specifically as a slime” as he said that he lifted his left arm and it turned into blue goo that was the same shade as his hair, seconds after it turned into goo-er slime it turned right back into a human arm and he continued speaking “i dont know how far into the future you guys are from me but i died in 2041 i was then reincarnated into a slime as for how i look japanese even tho im no longer human nor have my japanese body is because a dear friend of mine who was summoned into this world from japan was nearing her end and didnt want her soul to be in this world so she had me use one of my skills to ‘eat’ her and before you freak out i didnt eat her the same way people normally eat shes in like a magic pocket dimension stomach and a side affect of her being in that stomach is me gaining the ability to take on a human form as well as use the spells she learned before she passed now please tell me all about what japans like now and what year it is for yall im deeply curious about how my home world is doing”
I was still trying to process everything he said so i left the catching up to sensei knowing he would explain all the important bits “well seeing as you died a year before the first quirk i suppose you dont know about those” at the confused look on rimurus face and the fact i finally got my mind on the same pace as everyone else i spoke up “oh! Quirks is a supernatural mystery to the world basically in 2042 a bright glowing baby was born shortly after that babies started popping up with quirks all over the world were currently 200 years after all that so present time about 80% of japans population has quirks and heroes is a paying job where you fight to defeat villains aizawa sensei here is an underground hero known as earaserhead he also teaches my class which is a hero training class in currently in my 2nd year and me as well as my whole class is already considered to be full blown heroes since we recently won a war against the villains” my voice went really quite at the mention of the war but sensei put his hand on my shoulder and i immediately relaxed.
“Sorry you had to fight in a war as a teenager war sucks but did the manga get better or worse with heroes being real now then?” w-was that really what rimuru was focused on in that he does not care that the world he left behind is vastly different from what he knew? Sensei looked down at me expecting me to answer that one since im the younger one of us two(as well as him knowing im a hero nerd and must have everything hero related) meaning im more likely to know what current manga is like “ ive only read a few of the prequirk mangas since their so hard to find but personally i think its gotten both better and worse like the moves in the fights is n=more realistic but now a days about 90% of the manga is about fights real heroes have had in the past which while useful for my notes it's not all that nice when you just wanna escape the world with fantasy stories.” sensei seemed surprised at me talking about anything hero related with any hint of negatives but most of the fights from heroes that are turned into manga i can find videos of online which are better for my notebooks than the manga are plus sometimes i just wanna curl up and read a fantasy manga.
“Bummer I was hoping to pick your mind so I could print out more manga to keep veldora busy but oh well” as rimuru said as he slumped further into his chair.
Sensei decided he had enough and wanted answers “ok well how do we get home we got brought here by a quirk going off a kid bumped into midoriya and when i tried grabbing midoriya i got dragged in so how are we gonna leave? We hae lives were nit ready to leave behind there i have a husband and kids a whole world away from me and midoriya is just a kid he has a long life ahead of him IN japan”
At that rimuru let out a full belly laugh sensei looked like he was about to snip at rumuru for it so i leaned into his side and mumble “sensei calm down”
“Oooohhh man i havent had a good laugh like that in a while. Anyways you're stuck in this world once you enter you can't leave unless you have a skill that can help you travel through dimensions. Yes i can do that but you guys would end up dying before we could make it all the way to japan which is counter productive so what im gonna do is im gonna put you in hakurous training classes as well as have shion teach you guys all about this world which is called tensura by the way, when you got here did you guys hear any type of voice in your heads if so what did it say?”
Sensei spoke first “i thought i heard a voice but it was really faint and quite what about you problem child”
“U-um i heard a voice but all i was able to make out was something about a hero acquisition being obtained the voice said more after that but my head was hurting to much from the bright light for me to understand what else was being said” sensei looked at me with disappointment likely for me not telling him about it so i defended myself instinctively “h-hey i was more focused on making sure we weren't gonna be ambushed and by the time we stopped worrying about that we were being confused by all the new things being told to us by shuna and gobta” sensei sighed at that but he still lifted his right arm and ruffled my hair.
~time skip~
It's been about three weeks and four days since we arrived in tensura we've spent that whole time learning how this world works and how this world fights i was able to hear the voice a lot more clearly it would only talk to me when telling me of a new skill being gained it was around week two when the voice told me its skill name which is fujin i found it odd that its name was the same as a japanese god of wind but decided it didn't really matter since the skill didn't really work the same way through the raining i gained a few more skills but they were passive and just helped protect me so far ive gotten skin shield which makes my skin as tough as a shield another one is light feet it helps me move faster which i was grateful for since hakurou said were not allowed to use our quirks until he deems us high enough in his training sensei already reached that point which is where we learned senseis quirk works on regular magic and very basic skills. The day started just like the last few weeks, but when we got to Shion's class, Rimuru was in the room waiting for us.
“Hey guys just came to tell you guys that you've learned all you can about this world as well as to ask if the voice has gotten loud enough to hear”
Sensei once again spoke first “yea the voice told me it was the voice of the world but it did tell me i gained the thought acceleration the other day what about you problem child”
“Well mine to-told me to call it fujin it said its job is to help me gain sky related skills easier as well as help me gain skills in general but it said any non sky related skill will be harder for it to help me learn and that it would need to watch the skill its trying to gain in action for a minimum of a few hours as well as me doing my own tasks to make the skill more likely to come to me. I-if we learned all we need to know about this world what do we do now?”
Rimuru put his hand to his chin and hummed in thought for a few minutes “well once you finish your training with hakurou how do you guys feel about being like my personal body guards that way anytime i leave tempest you two can join and explore without worry of going somewhere you shouldn't and ill say i leave this country for business A LOT plus being my body guards means when people decided to try and fight me,cuz they do they don't like a monster creating a monster nation even though ive saved the world multiple times, you guys can fight the enemy and gain new skills until you guys eventually get strong enough to not die from traveling through dimensions”
I nodded my head at that thinking everything he said to be true sensei seemed to be on the same page as me cuz after glancing at me he said “welp not like we got anything better to do i just hope we can get back to japan before to many years have past by the way how long have you been in tensura since your death so we can gage how much time will have past”
“Well shit i stopped keeping track after the 60th year shion how many years has tempest been around?”
Shion startled at being addressed she looked up from what she was working on at a desk to say “oh its been around for 172 years”(author note:in this au rimuru found out if he gives people his blood the same way he did to zeigion than everyone with his blood lives until they brutally die i.e. to injured for his blood to heal other than that their basically immortal so he gave his blood to all his short life spanned servants)
Sensei spoke again “got it so time won't be too messed up when we get back anything else you wanted to tell us before we head to hakurou for extra training since our first class is done for good” as he said that he was looking at rimuru.
“Nah thats all for now yall know where to find me if you get bored” with that rimuru walked out the room to presumably go to his office so me and sensei left to continue our training.
~time skip~
“You two are officially done with my classes you've both managed to beat me in mock battle therefore there's nothing else i could teach you good job i havent had any students finish my classes this quickly before most take a few years but you two only took four months” hakurou was telling us as we walked to rimurus office to tell him of our training being done so we can be instructed on what he expects from us as his personal bodyguards. I felt proud of myself when i first started a hakurous class i could hardly keep track of his movements due to how fast he moved but once i gained the future attack prediction skill i started to breeze through his class I've gained a lot of other skills form our training since fujin had such a long time to study hakurous skills as well as my training with hakurou fitting the style needed to gain the skill fujin was studying.
We arrived at rimurus office after a few knocks we heard rimurus voice tell us to come in. after hakurou said we finished his training rimuru started explaining their duties as his personal bodyguards which wasn't much just stand by his die following him everywhere he goes(except to bed) and should someone be dumbo enough to attack him we are to fight so rimuru doesn't have to apparently he got bored of fighting so many people and he didn't want to listen to his servants fight over the right to be by him so often so he figured we were his best choice.
“Since you guys are gonna be my guards i feel it fitting to give you guys a name” i was confused for only a second cuz i had to remind myself that names work differently in this world.
“W-wait will not even work on us. We have human bodys and I thought the name thing was only for monsters?!?” I said in pure confusion.
“Normally yes but you two are here by weird circumstances so maybe the world doesn't know what to label yall as after all you two are the first to have the voice be so quiet in the beginning” i….. Suppose he's not wrong? Was my only thought.
“So what would you two prefer? I call you as that will be what I choose to attempt to name yall with” as rimuru said that he had a giddy smile on his face.
“Ill just go with aizawa”
“U-um you can call me izuku you've been to huge of a help to not keep going by midoriya”
“Alrighty then” rimuru seemed to focus on something as he said “i name you aizawa” sensei seemed to gaps in surprise right as rumuru turns to me focuses again and says “i name you izuku” in that moment it felt like something within my very soul shifted but it didn't feel bad….it…felt right
“Woahhhh!! So cool it was like I felt my very soul shift in my chest!” i said with excitement then i had a very stupid thought “so with us working for you and having a special name from you does this mean we need to call you lord rimuru as well?”
Rimuru giggle and said “please dont i havent had anyone call me just rimuru like ever its nice” with that being done me and sensei both walked to stand behind rimuru and like that we officially started our job as bodyguards to a king in another world all in the hopes we gain enough strength to survive rimurus dimension traveling skill so we can go back home.
