Chapter Text

It was the weekend—

late at night but that didn’t stop you.

You swiped up on your phone to check what time it was, reading a little past 1 a.m., as the dim glow of your iphone screen lit your area just a tad bit in your bed, whilst you tapped away clicking on Love and Deepspace.

You told yourself to finish your weekly plans and playtime, before sleep won you over.

As you are in the middle of finishing each task you are almost done with, your eyes begin to unwillingly close and you drift off into sleep, the only thing you could hear was,

“— we’ll dive into the deep..sea…”

You probably shut your phone off before you passed out, but you don’t remember!

Opening your eyes to the sunlight peaking through the blinds like it always did with a gold hue, but something was up, you felt it.

Noticing that the air felt warmer than usual hue, you rubbed your eyes, realizing you were in your room.. same layout—same walls, same corner where my PC usually sat—but every decoration on the wall were replaced, as if someone had redesigned my room to look like it belonged in a modern NYC apartment.

What the hell?

you thought to yourself, you were half-convinced that you were asleep in your bed and still dreaming.

But you couldn’t comprehend why it felt all a little too real.

you are laying in the middle of the bed on your left side, facing the wall, as Rafayel is holding you in a tight embrace whilst head is resting in the dip of your tank top practically meeting your chest.

You shift slightly turning to where your chest faces the ceiling as Rafayel is still sticking to you like glue, shifting your gaze to the right side of you there isn’t anything besides empty space that has you wondering where the fuck is your other partner, Caleb?

you then glance up a bit, still half-asleep. The sun shining through the shades of your window helps you adjust your vision, Caleb is on your pc playing Valorant out of all the games you own/have installed…you lovingly sigh because you knew you couldn’t get mad at him for playing since you did remember that you asked him to get you out of shitty iron lobbies… :(

Caleb turns his head to check on you to see if you have awakened yet, which you in-fact have.

You sit up, yawning and trying to break free of Rafayel’s embrace but in your attempt you fail and are in desperate need of a savior.

“Seriously?” you mumbled, struggling.

Caleb pushed his chair back with a soft chuckle and came over to save you, slipping a long body pillow into Rafayel’s arms.

Immediately, Rafayel latched onto it in his sleep, muttering something incoherent, per usual and you were finally free at last—straight into Caleb’s arms.

He bent down to press a kiss to your forehead.

You nodded, giggling.

Peeking into the hallway toward the kitchen, you spotted Sylus moving around, making food. Don’t know what he was cooking or who it was for, but that’s just like him.

Heading into the bathroom, you adjusted your bonnet and started your skincare routine.

Today felt better than most—it was the weekend, no school for a few days, and the perfect chance to not
procrastinate and actually get shit done!

I mean, after all, you’ve been doing the most to keep yourself stable financially and mentally… even if you have like 4 boyfriends who could literally pay for anything and help you with everything.

It was wash day, so you eventually hopped in the shower, lathering conditioner into your hair until your arms burned from the effort.

With a frustrated groan, you called out for help.

The bathroom door opened, and Sylus appeared by the curtain. “Do you need any help, kitten?” His tone was soft, almost tender.

When I tell you this man has a soft spot for you—it’s unreal. He’s practically a mafia boss that has the presence of a big scary wildcat but really he’s just a house-cat in disguise, begging to be babied and take care of someone.

“Yes, please!” you practically begged.

Your arms were already sore, and this cycle repeated every time—it didn’t matter that you hit the gym regularly to keep in shape and be flexible.

He handed you a towel, and you wrapped it around yourself before stepping out of the shower halfway.

You hand him the bottles, watching him work—separating shampoo and conditioner into his palms, lathering them, massaging the mixture through your hair with strong, careful fingers.

The sight nearly had you drooling.

His touch was firm but careful, his fingers combing through every strand.

You nearly melted under it, his quiet hum filling the bathroom.

“Sweetie,” he teased softly, “look at you being so obedient.”

After four wash cycles, he guided you gently to the sink, setting out hair products and, amusingly, his own skincare tubs.

He held out a clay mask cream toward you with an unspoken request.

“Hold on, Sy… I want the others to do it too!” you called, dragging Caleb into the bathroom and signaled him to wake sleeping beauty.

Rafayel groaned dramatically as he sat up. “Ugh, fine, fine… I’m up!” He slipped into Sylus’s stolen silk robe and stomped in with a pout.

“How dare you manipulate me into thinking I was still attached to you in my sleep.”

“Stop being dramatic, Fishie,” Sylus muttered.

He lifted you up onto the counter, and you opened the clay mask tub. Applying some gently onto Sylus’s face, you set the timer according to the label. Caleb applied his mask without complaint, but Rafayel? He crossed his arms with a huff.

“Cutie! I want you to apply it on me too. I should be pampered by you—this is unfair treatment, you owe me!”

You rolled your eyes but patted the counter.

“Fine. Come here.”

Rafayel wasted zero time, positioning himself between your legs, close enough that the silk of his robe brushed your bare knees. He tilts his face down, as if waiting like a king being crowned.

The moment your fingers spread the mask across his cheekbones, his lips parted in a soft sigh.

He leaned into your touch with shameless need, hands resting on your thighs as though to ground himself. He’s a needy little sucker for attention, always attached to you like you’re his only lifeline.

“See?” he murmured.

“This is exactly where I belong.”

“So needy, huh?” you teased.

“Devoted,” he corrected you, a smug smile tugging at his lips though his eyes stayed closed.

Caleb shook his head with a laugh.

“More like clingy.”

Rafayel didn’t even care what Caleb said, he didn’t flinch once, just melted under your touch like he’d been waiting for this all day.

Eventually, you got everyone’s masks on, and when you hopped down from the counter, Rafayel’s arm instantly hugging you tight they were snug around your waist as you hopped down from the counter, but Caleb tapped his shoulder with a sharp look.

“Let her breathe so she can change, Raf.”

“Hmph.” Rafayel reluctantly released you, though he made sure his fingers brushed your hand before letting go completely.

Everyone went off to picking out clothes for the day and getting dressed.

Caleb was just wearing something casual, sweatpants and a shirt with his fav band on it, Sylus in sweater you bought him a while ago with some soft black pants, Rafayel in a sill v-neck shirt that looked like it belonged in a magazine, and you were in something comfortable and you thought you looked decent.

After all of you got ready, you met up in the living room, Caleb was already holding the car keys. Sylus sitting on the single sofa just on his phone. Rafayel coming up behind you and immediately linked his arm through yours.

The drive heading to the cafe was… something.

Caleb in the driver’s seat, Sylus claiming shotgun like he the ones he owns, and Rafayel up against your side in the backseat like he feared the car would make him sick.

“You know, cutie, if you lean on me, the ride will feel shorter and wouldn’t make me feel more sick,” Rafayel whispered against your temple.

“You mean more talkative and louder than it is right now,” Caleb muttered from the front.

Sylus didn’t even look up.

“She’ll get a headache if she listens to you yapping the whole way.”

“The both of you guys are just jealous you guys became sometimes you don’t have interesting things to talk about.” Rafayel sighed dramatically, draping an arm across your shoulders anyway.

You laughed softly, as you looked out the window watching the scenery of Linkon City roll by on the outside of the window.

By the time you pulled up, you didn’t expect the café to be already somewhat packed and buzzing with people.

Sylus immediately went to check the menu, Caleb stayed by your side like a guard dog, and Rafayel? He was glued to you—hand holding yours, and body brushing against you as you navigated the crowd finding a table to sit at.

Sliding into a booth, Rafayel claimed the seat beside you, knee brushing yours, hand finding your lap again. Caleb gave him a look, but Rafayel only smirked.

Your drink was barely on the table before Caleb’s phone buzzed.

“Zayne says he’s coming,” he said, glancing at you. “He just finished his last surgery, but traffic might slow him down.”

Really? You honestly didn’t think he’d come.

You figured he’d go straight home to change and nap after another exhausting shift.

But he was only coming… for you.

Sylus hummed knowingly.

“Figures. Even off the clock, he’s chained to a schedule.”

Rafayel sighed dramatically, thumb tracing idle circles on your thigh. “Then we should order something sweet for him now, that way, the waiter doesn’t have him waiting on his food for like ever when he arrives. Plus, he’ll be happy to  know his beloved cutie was thinking of him.”

You nudged him with your elbow, smiling despite yourself. Caleb leaned forward, quiet and steady. “Don’t worry. He’ll be here. The first thing he’ll want to see is you.”

And sitting there—with Rafayel and his clinginess, Caleb looking at you to give you that reassurance you need from across from you, and Sylus sipping his coffee like he’d been doing this forever—you realized just how natural it all felt.

Like maybe this wasn’t just a dream after all.
