It was a calm and peaceful night in Sapphire’s house. Sapphire and Shadow were watching cartoons on TV. It was getting close to October, the most ticklish month of the year. As Sapphire snuggled into Shadow’s fur, she began thinking about something. She turns her head towards Shadow.
“Hey Shadow?”
Shadow looks over and tilts his head.
“Hm?”
“Do you think that ALL versions of you are ticklish?”
“Why do you ask that?”
“I’m asking because it’s getting close to Tickletober.”
Shadow’s eyes widened and he blushed a bit, remembering everything that happened last year.
“A-already?! Jeez, time really does fly fast…”
“I know. It’s shocking.”
Shadow snickers, putting his fist to his mouth.
“Ahh, just thinking about last Halloween makes me giggle…”
“The tickles are still lingering huh~?”
“Y-yeah…I guess they are.”
Sapphire giggles.
“You’re so cute.”
She pokes his belly playfully, causing Shadow to flinch back.
“Ghh-! D-Don’t do that…”
Sapphire just laughs, in awe of how sensitive Shadow is to tickles.
“Anyway, as for your question, who knows? The multiverse is pretty big. It all feels like it’s powered by your imagination.”
Shadow says, staring off into space.
“Yeah, you’re probably right. But I hope all versions of you are ticklish, because that would be really cute.”
“I bet it would in your perspective, you cheeky little thing.”
Shadow says teasingly, gently poking her cheek. Sapphire just chuckled.
“You’d better be careful Shadow, or I’m gonna have to bring out the tickle fingers~”
Sapphire wiggles her fingers.
“Oh no, not the tickle fingers! Oh, I’m so scared!”
Shadow says, playing along. They both share a laugh.
“OK, OK, let’s continue watching TV.”
Sapphire says.
“OK then my little tickle monster~”
Shadow says, teasingly. They then continue watching the TV, excited for what Tickletober 2025 will bring them.
