Cursed to be vulnerable

Summary:

This is the work that I started on Wattpad. And it is heavily based off of another work by @blood_doll_aishiteru called “I’m the One at the Sail, I’m the Master of my Sea” please go check out that work because it was great although I do have several issues that are my own issues mainly pertaining to the myth side of the story but otherwise it’s an excellent story and if you read that first and then read what I’m writing you can tell that I’m heavily basing it off of that. Seriously go check out that work. It is great and that’s basically what my work is going to look like but there will be differences as you will see you reading through this.

Chapter 1: What the Pit is That

Chapter Text

~Atlantis-
~Third person:

Everyone in Atlantis felt it. They could feel the power. It was too weak to pinpoint, but too strong to ignore. They could feel the storm. The ocean uncontained. Every citizen of Atlantis, every child of Poseidon and Amphitrite, even Poseidon's half blood children could feel it. The Atlantic Court grew concern. Amphitrite, try to ignore it, but only grew more wary. Poseidon slowly grew on edge.

A few days after everyone felt it, Triton, Rhodos, Benthsikyme, and even Kymopoleia eventually all made it to Atlantis. All four too concerned to leave the walls of Atlantis. The tension continue to mount as the storm continues.

~Poseidon's Perspective:

It's been two weeks since that storm started. Everyone's on edge, and even Kym is somewhat silent. Which, in normal circumstances would be a godsend, considering she tends to be... very snarky. But with how things are going right now, that just makes me more concerned.

I walked before the Atlantean council where my wife and my four children also happened to be. I spoke, "This unease has gone on long enough. I'm going to find the source of this and deal with it." My beautiful wife came over, wrapping her arm around mine. She said, "Darling... please, please be careful."

I looked down at her and answered, "I will Amphitrite. I will." I looked up at Triton who looked like he was going to speak, "I need to do this alone. You are  our last line if I fail. I know you will not fail me if I fail." My eldest nodded almost reluctantly. I can see if my fatal flaw transferred to him as well.

I left to the defensive wall around the city. I summoned by symbol of power as I went in the direction I felt the storm. I wasn't expecting it to be so far off from how powerful it was.

As I got closer The more powerful I realized it was. Eventually, I felt that I had finally reached the edge of the storm. Whoever was triggering, the storm had the power equivalent to a Daimon, if not a a minor god. And as I got closer, I could feel the kind of storm that was being generated. Clearly, whoever created the storm is no stranger of creating storms. And clearly whoever is creating this is not in the best mindset. But that's what I got to the epicenter.

I stopped at the moment I felt it...

I definitely do not recognize the woman before me. I have absolutely no recollection of her. But I could never mistake a daughter of mine. I could hear her bowling through this underwater storm. I immediately, swam up to the child who could no more than 16 years and cradled her in my arms.

I could only feel her tears increase as I can feel the temperature difference in the salt water near her eyes. "Dad!..." Her voice broke as she spoke through broken sobs her fingers clawed at me trying to prevent me from leaving. "I'm Lost! Lost! I'm Lost! I Lost Everything! Mom!..."

She broke down even further. I just held her tight, trying to soothe her by trying to rub comforting circles across her back. I said, "I here. I will always be here for you." I expected that to help soothe her, but apparently it only made it worse as her voice seemed even more frail as she asked, "You don't even remember me, don't you."

I felt my heart shattered just a little bit as I answered her, "I cannot say that I remember you. I know for a fact you are my daughter. I know my flesh and blood when I feel them. Please let me make up for not remembering who you truly are daughter."

I could feel her nails claw into me a bit more. I tried soothing her by saying, "Let me bring you back to the palace, you can live with me in Atlantis." I felt her shake her head, her voice more trimmed with a dialect I do not recognize, "No dad... as much as I would like to be with you, Atlantis is no place for a demigod."

I couldn't believe the humility from her. Every other demigod would do almost anything to live with their godly parents. Hell, I couldn't even imagine any demigod or moral not wanting to be on Olympus or Atlantis.

She is definitely not like the rest of Greece. She's so precious to me that I know that I would Raze all life on the planet if she were ever hurt by the mortals or the other members of my family.

I held her and suggested, "What if I found a moral family to care for you while you heal?" I think to anyone else, the nod would've been imperceptible, but considering that her face was buried in my chest, and I could feel the water, just barely move. I could tell that she was nodding.

I pulled away just enough to see her face. She actually looked just like myself now that I was getting a good look at her. she definitely look exhausted. Clearly, the ocean around her was sustaining her as she was summoning this massive storm. I asked, "What is your name daughter?"

She spoke softly, "Percy, my name is Percy." I held her close as she started to slip into Hypnos' realm. I said, "I will always protect you Perci. I promise you." I held her in my arms as a storm dissipated, as she fell asleep entirely, as I began to propel the both of us to Atlantis.

~Percy's Perspective:

"Grrr... wow, I'm stiff. ... what is... is, is this silk? Why am I under a silk blanket?" Okay, I was confused.

Honestly, it wasn't until I saw the coral that I finally recognized where I was. I mean I've been in this room before but it's slightly different. I guess two-three thousand years will do that...

Damn you Kronos.

You petty son of a bitch. You just couldn't fadeaway the rest of your siblings. NO you just had to send me to Ancient Greece. And not only that you had to change my gender to make my life even worse back in this time. And he couldn't even have given me the decency of transporting me with the clothes on my back.

I tried to calmed myself down. No need to level Atlantis remembering... I can't tell anyone what the future holds. I don't trust anyone on Olympus, especially old thunderhead. "I swear on the River Styx, that I will not tell anyone about the Future events." I heard the muffled lightning at the surface, knowing that my oath was accepted by Lady Styx.

I slowly got up as my body was still stiff. I've probably been out for a day or two. As I slowly up I saw a deep and vibrant purple chiton. I also saw plenty of gold/silver/brass/bronze jewelry encrusted with sea green sapphires and aquamarine gemstones. I put on the chiton which apparently was also silk. I mean, I was never one for jewelry and technically I am a woman. I don't want to offend someone by not wearing the jewelry, but jewelry is not my thing to begin with and I'm not one for showing off.

I put on the blue green sapphire necklace. Only not offend, whoever set out these clothes for me. I also decided to put on two bracelets that have aquamarine gems on them. After putting everything on, I floated to the door. Turning the door knob and pulling it open.
