Xico stood nervously in front of Jasmine's house. It had been a few weeks since he had confessed to her, and now the two of them finally had time for a first date. He finally calmed himself enough to knock, only to find Jasmine was standing right in front of the door the whole time. The two stared and then looked down
"Uh, shall we go?" Xico asked
"Ye..Yes" Jasmine replied. The two awkward held hands, and walked over to Olivine cafe.
Xico had already decided on his bacon burger, and noticed Jasmine scanning the menu with eagerness and indecisiveness."
"I'd like the sandwich! And the Salad! Oh and the Macrons! And the Alcremie Cake and…" She realized she was speaking out loud and looked sheepish "oh uh, just some tea is fine"
"You don't have to limit yourself for my sake" Xico said, "I got a generous bonus from the lab, so order whatever you like."
Jasmine's eyes lit up "Really!" She ordered to her hearts concent, and the table was filled with piles and piles of food. Xico silently thought to himself about having to decrease his budget for the rest of the month. But seeing her eyes light up made him know it was all worth it.
"I've…I've never been able to admit how much of a foodie I am to others" Jasmine said while paying for her half of the bill. Xico was ready to pay for it himself, but Jasmine insistent they remain equals in all aspects of their relationship.
"It's unexpected from a small woman like you" Xico replied, "But I think it's adorable."
Jasmine blushed. "I like to take a walk on the beach to digest."
"That sounds like a great idea." Xico replied.
The couple walked along the beach of Route 40, holding hands. They turned and saw Pokemon and trainers swimming in the ocean. Thankfully the only trainers on the route were in the ocean, so there was no fear of interruption. The sun was beaming down, but the cool ocean wind helped maintain the ideal temperature. Before they knew it, the ended up all the way to the entrance of the Battle Frontier. They realized they had ended up at the exact opposite place they were planning on ending their date, so they sprinted in the other direction.
They finally made it to their main destination: Olivine Lighthouse. Since Jasmine had the key, they took the elevator, and thus avoided the trainer battles. They made it to the top, and greeted Amphy on the way to the balcony. The two of them watched the sun set, as the ocean sparked in the sunlight. A colony of Corsola swam on by, giving the ocean a pink and orange hue.
“This reminds me of when we first met” Jasmine said.
“It still feels like yesterday” Xico said wistfully.
“I’ve…loved you since that day” Jasmine said “I’ve never felt so comfortable around someone I just met.”
“I’ve loved you since I first heard about you.” Xico said “The shy, kind, strong and beautiful Steel type Gym leader. You’re even more amazing then I thought.”
The two blushed. Xico grabed Jasmine’s waist, and she warped her arms around him. They leaned in and kissed, as the couple glowed in the sunset. Before they knew it, the sun and set, and it had gotten dark. The couple made their way home, hand in hand.
