Another round, time slowly but surely ticking away. Diana hid behind a wall, scarfing down Elliot’s pizza as fast as she could. She hadn't seen the killer this time around, just got hit with a projectile sword that came out of nowhere. She wasn’t sure where everyone else was either. Elliot had run off after giving her the pizza, guest and jean were both dead, and she hadn't seen toshiko all round.
It was quiet.
Too quiet.
She peeked around the wall, just enough to make sure she wasn’t noticeable, but the face she saw was… Familiar.
Blonde hair, green eyes, a black and green aura that just screamed “Damon Maitsu”.
She didn’t think. She didn’t think at all before sprinting at him and reaching for a hug.
In his confusion Damon turned around, sword instantly piercing Diana’s stomach before either could react.
Blood.
“Diana?” He managed, finally recognising that flawless pink hair.
“Damon!” She smiled, disregarding the fact his sword pierced her abdomen.
He pulled her close, trying not to jostle the sword around so it wouldn't hurt her. How did she end up here? She didn’t deserve to be in this purgatory. He did. He hurt people. She? She was a beam of light.
“Don’t leave me again.” A soft whisper against her ear as he held her closer.
“Promise” She muttered, body finally going limp.
He knew she’d be back next round, but it still hurt. Standing there, holding her limp body like the last time he saw her. It hurt. But at least he knew she was okay. That she’d see him again. And maybe this time they could spend more time together.
