Chapter Text

Silent salt didn’t know how the hell he got here.

First he was sitting with Elder Faerie and now he was taken by his witch and forced into black armor without a helemet and is now going to be forced on stage to sing?

Seriously, this day can’t get any better since he is going to be forced on this stage with only a script memorized in his mind prior when he and Elder Faerie had to memorize the sheet to sing on stage a few weeks ago. As Silent Salt walked into stage, he saw Elder Faerie at the other side just entering the stage with him.

“Beautiful…” Silent Salt murmured as he stared ahead at Elder Faerie, his lover. He was dressed in a beautiful outfit where he wore white clothing under parts of armor shown on his knees and shoulders and metal boots as well as beautiful long slivery hair with a stained glass butterfly clip in the back making his hair into a ponytail. He also wore a crown with stained glass in the front, the stained glass shining and projecting the boring and nauseating stage lights in to colorful colors shining in the crowd. Then, he noticed his lovers face was weirdly enough, blank.

But he didn’t have time to try and decode his lovers face since they had to get to the microphones or they would be dragged over to it against their will. The audience cheered as they entered the stage. So then, the couple on stage began to sing.

————————

Truthfully, Elder Faerie didn’t know what to do in this moment. His clothes felt sweaty on how nervous he felt when he stared into the crowd. There were to many people Elder Faerie thought but that was expected based on how this was kinda suppose to be like a concert. Then, he spotted Silent Salt on the other side of the stage. He didn’t know what to feel at that point, he felt sad, angry, and scared even faced with his lover at that. Though his face showed no emotions he was going through a lot. But then his love approached the microphones, he followed suit.

As they both sang the song they memorized weeks prior to this they couldn’t help but try and savor their last moments together, reminiscing about the past as they sang Silent Salt remembered when Elder Faerie caught a fish for him and told him a joke and he laughed so hard his stomach hurt. And they loved each other very much since their past was pretty bad before they met each other.

“Do you believe in god?” Elder Faerie said starting in the songs monologue
“No, I don’t why do you ask?” Replied Silent Salt, suddenly back to the past as the scores started to get scored up for there duet.
“Once upon a time, humankind had religion and believed in God. They believed that which could not be solved by human strength was the Will of God. Believed that the entire universe revolved around the Earth. They thought that unreachable place that connected with the sky was where the gods lived. From the moment humanity left the universe, we all forgot about God. But if belief in God is human, if all I can do as a human is to believe... My God... My universe... “ Elder Faerie stared at his lover while he said it in the microphone, starting to slowly smile at him. As Silent Salt started to smile at him back him.

He got shot.

As the blood splattered on Elder Faeries cheek, still smiling at his now dead lover, He started to cry, as his knees hit the floor following his lovers dead body. Both with a deafening thud to Elder Faerie’s ears.

Elder Faerie wanted to scream but all he did was cry. So, he did. He started to cry, staring at Silent Salts body with a ringing in his ears so loud he couldn’t hear the crowds applause louder than when they got on stage. Soon, he felt a collar get attached to his neck as he slowly sings the last lyrics “Ah... My dear clematis.” He murmured, his voice breaking on some of the words. As he got dragged off the stage by some of the staff from the garden the rounds screen updated
“ELDER FAERIE WINS” the screen read
As it showed a photo of Elder Faeries photo when he was young and native moving up to another round.
