A woman in her early twenties tore through the cold night air, bare feet slapping against the wet dock. Every step burned — the ground bit into her skin — but she didn’t stop. In her trembling arms lay a two-month-old baby, swaddled tight against her chest, the only reason she was still running.

Her lips were split, her face streaked with dirt and tears. Her heartbeat thundered in her ears as she stumbled toward the port’s far edge — toward the line of cargo ships waiting to depart for distant lands. Somewhere among them, hidden in a metal container, was her mate. Her only hope.

“Please, Moon Goddess… please let my child live,” she whispered through cracked lips, each word a prayer laced with terror.

Then, through the blur of lights and fog, she saw him — her husband, waving frantically from a moving cargo ship. His voice reached her through the bond that still pulsed weakly between their souls.

> “My love, I can’t come back for you… run! Please, run!”

The pain in his voice shattered her. She pushed harder, ignoring the sting of her wounds. The baby began to wail — soft at first, then louder, sensing her anguish.

“No, no, please… my sweet one, shh,” she murmured, pressing her child to her chest. “Please don’t cry, don’t make them find us…”

She reached the ship at last, just as the engines rumbled to life. The metal hull groaned beneath her hands as she climbed aboard, her breath coming in ragged gasps. The scent of salt, iron, and blood clung to the air — her mate’s blood.

“Love,” he rasped, crawling toward her from behind a stack of crates. His left leg was mangled beyond saving, blood soaking through torn fabric. Yet his trembling arms reached not for her, but for the infant in her embrace.

She fell to her knees beside him, sobbing. Her wolf howled within, begging her to hold him, to soothe the pain, but there was no time for comfort — only survival.

“Quickly,” he urged. “Hide here.”

He pushed aside a large metal bucket and motioned for her to crawl underneath. She hesitated only a heartbeat before obeying, clutching the baby close. The ship began to shudder and shift, pulling away from the port. They’d made it… at least for now.

When they were safely tucked away, her mate took the baby in his blood-stained arms. He kissed the child’s forehead, tears dripping onto the infant’s soft skin.

“We did it,” he whispered brokenly. “Our baby’s safe. The goddess… she heard us.”

The woman’s sobs softened, and she pressed her forehead against his shoulder.

“I owe everything to Alpha Jakrapatr,” he murmured. “May the Moon Goddess bless him and his bloodline… may his sons never know the pain we did.”

"Did you have your lunch phi rak?" A sweet yet deep voice came through the video call.

"Yeah I had, baby don't worry, you should just focus on your upcoming exams," the person who was holding the phone, sitting in his office, said.

The person sighed when he saw his brother pouting.
"What?" he asked, and the person on the phone glared at him.

"Phii you are so cruel you know that? I just took a breath after studying my ass off and you are sending me off to study again," he whined.
It was midnight in Thailand and early morning in Seoul (Korea), William just finished his studies and decided to sleep after the call.

"What are you? A five-year-old kid? Whining to not study?" Thame said, and the person on the phone whined loudly, which brought a smile to his face.

"Okay okay baby, you should sleep now, and I have a meeting with a pack right now. They are causing us trouble — need to show them who has the upper hand here," he said with a cold voice, eyes looking at the distance as if calculating how he is going to destroy that pack.

William looked at him softly. His brother is his biggest inspiration. The greatest person he knows.
He sighed loudly — urghhh, he missed his brother's hugs, his comforting scent.

"What happened?"
He snapped his head and saw his brother putting on the coat to go to the meeting.

"Nothing phi, you should go now. I also have to get my beauty sleep to look handsome and trap some omega, you know — so byeeee," he winked and cut the call.

Thame’s smile fell as he sighed out in tiredness. He lied to his brother that he had his lunch when in reality he hadn’t touched food from yesterday.

He is Thame Jakrapatr, the alpha of the crimson moon pack. A pure blood, that makes him superior to all the ranks out there. He is the biggest inspiration to all the packs. Not to forget he has a great image in the human world as well. Youngest CEO in Thailand.

Do you think it’s easy to handle all of this by himself? No right! But he does. It’s not like his twin brother did not offer his help but he doesn’t want to hold his brother. He knows his brother wants to be a model in the human world so he let him be.

A knock made him snap out of his thoughts. Nut came into the view and offered him a smile which he did not return.

“Ready to go alpha?” Nut asked and Thame glanced at him for a second.

“Told you to not call me that, we have known each other from childhood,” he said and left from there while Nut just shook his head with a smile.

William hummed as he dragged the trolley, putting all the things he needed.

He paid for the things and came back to his apartment.

Tui, his protector, was on the couch definitely talking to some girls.

He rolled his eyes at him. “GET UP!” he shouted and Tui got up smiling sheepishly at him.

“What is all this?! I was in the library for just three hours and you did this to the apartment?! Just see how I’m complaining about you to phi, he’ll bite your ass!” he said while rolling his eyes.

“5555, I’ll clean them all soon, 5555,” Tui said awkwardly and started cleaning the mess he created. Thame sighed and hurriedly went to the kitchen and started cooking something for them.

It’s noon in Seoul (Korea), which means it’s already night in Thailand.
“Should I call phi?” he mumbled and decided to give a call to his brother.

After the third ring, his brother answered with a hum.

“Are you sleeping?” he asked softly.
“No, I’m not able to sleep,”Thame replied, making him sigh.

It’s not the first time his brother couldn’t sleep. He knows his brother has a habit of sleeping with him, but his brother won’t admit it. Only the Moon Goddess knows how his brother is coping without him for three years.

“Should I sing you a song?” he asked, already knowing his brother’s answer.
“Hehe? What do you think I am? A kid? Really, baby?”
His brother’s deep, throaty voice came accompanied by a laugh.

He shook his head with a smile. “Okay, okay, I know you find it comforting yet you won’t admit it ‘cause you’re a cold hearted alpha.”

“Yahh! I’m older than you how can you curse at me like this, huh?”
Thame laughed loudly.
“phi rak, you’re just ten minutes older than me.”

The line stayed silent before Thame broke it.
“What are you doing?” he asked.

William replied, “Cooking.”

“You were talking about some festival yesterday?”

William smiled widely and said, “Yes, phi. It’s going to happen in the place I’m going for the exam. I’m so excited!”

“When is your exam? You’ll get a vacation after it, right?”
This time Thames voice came a little pitched because of excitement, which he immediately covered with a cough making William laugh.

“Yes, it’ll be a one and a half month vacation, so I’ll be coming back home for a month.”

They talked some more until Thame’s voice started getting drowsy. William smiled at the slurred words and started humming softly, which made Thame fall asleep in a few minutes. William giggled after hearing his brother’s little snores.

He finished cooking and Tui served it, and they both had their lunch.

William came to Korea three years ago to achieve his dream of being a model. He didn’t tell anyone about his dream, but his brother probably knows him better than he knows himself.

Their father died when they both were 18, and all the responsibility of the pack and the company dropped on his brother’s shoulders.

William was ready to drop his own dream and help his brother with pack work and not to forget their company too but his brother didn’t listen and made him fly here.

Korea is a beautiful city, filled with bright and cheerful humans. There were werewolves too, but just like him, all of them were pretending to be human in front of humans, ‘cause humans don’t know they exist.

And currently, he was living in Seoul a werewolf colony near a forest, about 20 minutes away from the real human city. His university was, of course, in the human city.

He misses his hometown the most. There, he could show his true self openly. He misses phi Hong — a mother figure for him since even his mother doesn’t care for him the way phi Hong does. Lego — his midget friend, and his mate Diamond — a grumpy old man. Not to forget phi Yaa Nut, who he likes to annoy.

Lastly, his precious brother the one who is always with him, is ready to give him all the love. He misses his hugs, his pampering, his scent, his scoldings.

His thoughts broke when his phone rang, and he saw his mother’s call. He furrowed his eyebrows. Why is his mother calling him at this time? It’s midnight in Thailand.
“Hello, mae.”

“Hey son, how are you my child?” an overly sweet voice came.
“I’m all okay ma, what about you? Why are you calling at this time?” He said softly so as not to sound rude.

“Ahh, time doesn’t matter when I miss my son, right?” she said — and Tui, who was beside him, snickered hearing this.
“She doesn’t even look after the son she has there, and here she is talking,” he said as William shot him a glare.

“Did someone say something?” her voice changed immediately to an irritating tone.
“No, mae, tell me—”“Why you called?”

“Ah, nothing, son. I just met a beautiful alpha and she was willing to court Thame, but you know how he is. Only you could make him understand how important a mate is.”

Hearing this, William rolled his eyes. They’d told her plenty of times they were waiting for their actual mates, but she didn’t listen.

“You know very well phi doesn’t want that. Please drop this stubbornness, mother. He’s an adult; he knows what he wants, and he’ll mate with the person he finds suitable. You and I both know he’s waiting for his actual mate,” he said in a done tone.

But the lady was shameless. “Then what about you? You could court h—”

“Mae, please stop. This is the reason I don’t accept your calls. You’re always behind us with some alphas. You don’t need to be concerned about our mates. Please.” He said it rudely and cut the call, immediately putting his mother on the blocklist for a while.

He rubbed his head. “How is phi rak dealing with this daily?” he muttered. He knew his mother must be pressuring Thame about this topic a lot.

A sudden concern hit him. “phi rak is already stressed with work, and she must be pressuring him too. Please give him strength, Moon Goddess, and please take care of him.”
