Chapter Text

Chapter 1
                    Hatred Lies From Deep Within

As Susan glares out her window and sees Mike and Katherine across the street, kissing - a huge sensation of anger is now coming over her. Susan must put a stop to their relationship once and for all.

She leaves her house and walks across the street to talk to Mike and Katherine.

"Greetings Mike. Katherine," she says.
"Hi Susan, what seems to be the problem?" Katherine asks without giving Mike a chance to speak.

"I just don't like how you're mouthing Mike at 7 in the morning out in the bare street. People actually have things to do and places to be."
"Oh Susan, when will you ever learn? Why does kissing Mike at 7 in the morning to be exact, make you so angry? Please give me a genuine answer that is sensible."

Susan is left speechless and unable to reply to Katherine's statement as there is no real problem and Susan is just a jealous and miserable woman.

"Oh! Bye-Bye Susan!" Katherine laughs at her as she goes back home.
"Whatever," muttered.

As Susan goes home she immediately breaks down and is completely unstable. Most of her friends are busy so help is limited, while Julie is still away at Med School.

She instantly recalls the alcohol cabinet her ex-husband,Karl, had left and smashes it open with a toaster nearby.

While Susan is drinking away her "problems" Edie and Gabby knock on her door. They were really hoping to play poker with her that same day.

She is startled and starts to hide the bottles. She quickly jumps up and adjusts herself as she walks to the front door.

"Gabby! Edie! Hello ladies," Susan enthusiastically says.
"Hey Susan," Edie answers.
"Hi Sweetie! How are you?" Gabby responds.

"Ladies! I am awesome. How about you two?"

Before Gabby or Edie could respond, her cabinet filled with the alcohol collapses—leaving all the bottles broken into pieces on the floor, and results in questions from both women.

Susan goes over and tries to clean everything up, but Gabby stops her.

"Susan, is everything okay?" Gabrielle asks.
"To be honest Gabby and you too Edie? No. Everything is not okay," tears fill her eyes.

"Is it about Mike and Katherine?" Edie asks.
"Edie! Mind yourself!!" Gabby slaps her on the shoulder.

"No Gabby, it's okay. Edie's right. It is about Mike and Katherine."
"Oh honey it's okay. Tell us what's happening,"

She tells Edie and Gabrielle everything about Mike and Katherine kissing earlier in the morning. From the encounter Susan had with Katherine. Additionally, the nonexistent "tension" between her and Mike.

"So you drank all of those bottles because of that?" Edie rolls her eyes.
"Seriously Edie? What is your problem?!" Gabrielle snaps at her.

"I'm being serious here Gabrielle. She's doing all of this over something she cannot control, a relationship that ended months ago. She should've gotten over this a long time ago. Not only that, just because someone you dislike is in a happy relationship with someone you still love doesn't mean you need to ruin it for the other person. Just saying Susan."

Susan is left speechless but still says something.

"That's the thing Edie—I don't want her to be happy with the man I still love," Susan responds.
"Well that sure says a lot about you. I know for a fact that I'm not any better myself but at least I care how others feel, and I can definitely survive without a man for more than 3 weeks,"Edie answers.

"Honestly Edie, you're one to talk."
"Honestly Gabby, nobody was speaking to you and you definitely cannot be talking right now at all. I'm just stating the truth Susan, which I know you hate hearing because you think you're right and that everything revolves around you, when it really doesn't."

"If that's how you feel about me Edie, then get out of my house."
"Fine by me. You're obviously affected negatively by the truth which says a lot about you."

She gets up to leave, the sound of her heels follow behind her as she exists Susan's house.'

After she leaves, Gabrielle and Susan discuss everything that had just happened.

"So.. How did you feel about that sweetie?"
"I'm not answering that."

"We need to make a plan to stop the both of them from being together, so I can have Mike again," Susan tells her.
"We?" Gabrielle laughs at her.

"Of course... Me, You, Lynette, and Bree!"

"No sweetie. I'm not partaking in this. I love you Susan, and I'm definitely not a fan of Mike and Katherine together either—but I'm not going to be breaking them up. Especially not with you at that."

"You can try Lynette and Bree, but all I know is that I'm out of here." Gabrielle adds on.

"Wow Gabby. Is that how it is?"
"Definitely not how it is, but how it should be,"she shrugs her shoulders.

Gabby gives Susan her kisses and hugs—then leaves before Susan could do or say anything else.

Once again, Susan is all alone. She calls Lynette and Bree so she can receive more support from her friends.

Both Lynette and Bree pick up—resulting
in a three way phone call.

"Hey Susan! How's it going?" Lynette asks.
"Hi Lynette to be honest... It's going really bad right now. I'm not in the best place."

"Oh no what's wrong?" she asks concernedly.

Before Susan could answer Lynette's question Bree calls her.

"U-uh I'm going to have to call you back in a few minutes Lynette," Susan says.

She holds the call before Lynette says anything.

"Hi Bree! How have you been?" Susan asks Bree.
"Hello Dear, I'm fine. So what did you need from me that you kept calling me repeatedly? You know I have to look after Benjamin and keep my business going," she replies sternly.

"Yes, yes Bree I know. I just really need your help with something but I also have to make it quick because Lynette is on the other line."
"What do you need my help with? And before you answer that—call Lynette back or add her to the call. I can't stay on for long."

She removes Lynette from hold so they're now all able to talk to each other at the same time. Susan tells Lynette and Bree everything about Katherine and Mike.

"Okay.... So what do you want us to do?" Lynette asks.
"Yeah Susan, what are we meant to do?" Bree added.

"Seriously?! You're supposed to be on my side here! You're going to help me try and break them up so that I can get Mike back," she stupidly replies.
"No. I'm not doing that Susan," says Lynette.

"Why not? Give me a good reason."
"Well maybe because you only care about yourself. Mike probably broke up with you because of that same exact reason. You're awfully selfish and you act like a 13 year old girl whose whole life revolves around boys."

"Lynette!"
"What? You know I'm right Bree. You're just too afraid to admit it because you're her friend. That's understandable, but I'm always going to be straight up and brutally honest about everything."

"Shut. Up," she says.
"No, you know I'm right Susan. Nothing I said was a lie. Don't call me back or add me to your three way phone call ever again. We're done," Lynette says as she hangs up the phone.

She leaves the call and it's just Bree and Susan on the phone now. The silence is awfully loud.

"So.. Will you help me, Bree?"
"Oh! Um... Sorry dear. I have to get back to business."

"But Bree-"
"Sorry! I have to go. Toodles!" she ends the call.

All of her friends have now turned against her. She has no choice but to complete her plan all alone.

She thinks of what Lynette and Edie said—is it really true? Is Susan just as miserable as they say she is?

The next day.

As she walks outside, it's noticeable all eyes are on her. And not in a good way. All the neighbors are staring and whispering.

"She's a homewrecker!" One neighbor says.
"I feel bad for her daughter. No child deserves a mother like her," another neighbor adds.

Lynette, Gabby, Bree, and Edie are all standing together and observing everything. They don't help her.

"IS THERE A PROBLEM? HUH!" she angrily yells to everyone.
"SO WHAT IF I WANT TO BREAK UP A HAPPY COUPLE?" her face turning red.

Everyone states at her like a crazy person.

They point to her garage door.

"Sweetie... We were talking about what someone wrote on your garage door. But I guess you gave us more to talk about," a neighbor says.
"Wait- What? No!! Stop it. I didn't mean that!" she tries to defend herself.

The Neighbors start looking at her garage door and read the text out loud.

"SUSAN MAYER IS AN ANNOYING, ENTITLED, SELF-CENTERED, SLUT, WHO DESERVES NO LOVE," the neighborhood reads.
"Wait guys! There are names signed under it," a stranger adds.

"Gabrielle S, Lynette S, Edie B, Bree VDK, gasps let out.

The ladies already left before Susan realized they were the ones who wrote the prompt on her garage door.

She goes back home as people make a joke out of her, and they eventually start leaving the scene of the crime.

"What did I do to deserve this God? What, she cries, talking to herself.

Susan gets up and goes back to the area of the collapsed cabinet.

She falls to her knees and finds bottles that are still in the best condition. Keeps drinking until her head is booming, and ultimately blacks out.
