The Mansion Of Mirrors (and Horrors!)

Summary:

Christopher Pierre seems to have finally gained a bit of self control, and decided to let the mirrors be!

But maybe he can't resist the urge for much longer..

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

(Chris' perspective)

Christopher Pierre was rather infamous when it came to his disdain for mirrors. Almost half of his uses of his manor-exclusive telekinesis would be directed at smashing those imbecilic objects that would dare to sully his poor face for absolutely NO reason! Yet, he could sense that a guest was coming along, and he was nothing if not welcoming, so he begrudgingly sat in front of it to apply copious amounts of makeup to hide his burn marks. If he wasn't already in limbo, the lead in his trusty "Distortion kit" (his fancy word for a makeup kit) would have probably killed him by now. Probably a slow, agonizing death. It wouldn't be an intentional, calculating effort like with..

Like with...

"LILIA!" He snapped his fingers, snapping himself back to reality in the process. He couldn't afford to dwell too much on the actions of the absolutely abhorrent and vitriolic monster that would dare to masquerade as his friend..

Not when it wasn't convenient, that is.

"Be a dear and tell me if my spine can pass as straight.. I've got an important upcoming event, and I need to be presentable." Lilia hesitatingly shuffled over to him. After wandering into the manor, they had been generously put into the role of a glorified servant, even having to don a maid and butler outfit they would use interchangeably. It wasn't a necessary role by any means, considering Christopher generally didn't have anything on his plate and could afford to spend a bit of time tidying up, but knowing Chris, it was more of a power move than anything.

"It's fine.. It can't be as twisted as your personality, anyway.." They mumbled the last part under their breath, clearly unhappy with their new role. Chris clenched his fist, barely hiding his pure rage at that unfounded statement. "What could you possibly be waiting for, anyways? I'm the only person to have come here in....?" They gestured for him to say an age. "2 centuries. Yes, yes, I know that you think it's unlikely to happen again.. But believe me darling, I've got a good feeling about this one."

He stared at the mirror with a self-satisfied grin, the first time he had smiled in front of a mirror in possibly years. While Lilia looked off to the side, wondering how long it would take for Chris to break his next victim for reflecting the truth right back at him.
