The alarm went off at around 8:30. Gem slamed it off and rolled out of bed. Once her glasses were put on she opens her phone and checks the date.
October 5th
October 5th?
October 5th?!
It was the day Gem and the Scott's first album is released in shops!
She quickly got ready, brushing her teeth, having a shower and getting dressed before heading out. She was going to meet Scott and Impulse at the heart foundation bakery to celebrate their success.
The two men were waiting inside, chatting to each other about nothing in particular. Scott noticed Gem outside the window and waved. Impulse looked up and smiled at her as she came in.
"Hey guys."
"Hiya!"
Scott spoke as he motioned for Gem to sit down.
She took the seat and moved it up to the table.
"Can you believe we're releasing our first album?"
She asked, a smile on her face.
Impulse hummed.
"Just last year we were playing with instruments in a field."
"Now look at us."
Scott finished.
Soon one of the waiters, Tango, came up to the table and they ordered. Three milkshakes and a cake to celebrate the occasion.
"To Gem and the Scott's"
Scott held out a fork with cake on it. Gem and Impulse did the same and both spoke,
"To Gem and the Scott's."
