Quivering under the full weight of that terrifying gaze, the Imperial officer managed to squeak out, “We’re conducting a full review of the facility, Lord Vader. It was a mistake that allowed the rebels to get in, a mistake that will never happen again, I assure you.”
“You speak the truth, commander,” Vader said. “It will not happen again.”
The officer felt the briefest sense of relief, quickly replaced by the pressure at his throat. In panic, his fingers scrabbled futilely against his neck, until the lack of air made them grow weak and fall slack as consciousness left entirely.
