Summary
Alexandra is clairvoyant: an oracle, a prophet, a seer. The past and the future can coarse through her like electricity, and this is both a blessing and a curse. She is the only daughter of Morpheus, Dream of the Endless, who, until now, has been held captive by mortals. His release is her cue to spark the chain of events following a prophecy she has been keeping secret for millennia: the prophecy of her own father's death.
Knowing what is to come and being powerless to stop it, Alex takes the opportunity to spend what fleeting time they have left rekindling the once good relationship she had with Morpheus. This is easier said than done, of course, as they find themselves unknowingly competing for who can be more stubborn, proud, and emotionally walled off. It is only in confronting her own trauma, their shared grief, and facing the music that they can both come to terms with all that has and will yet come to pass.
