Chapter Text
This chapter's title already says this. I want to tell you something. But don't tell to anyone else. Because if I find out, you will end up just like the people I will describe in later chapters. You have my word. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
Ever heard about Forsaken? Yeah, that one. It has a certain, shall I put, thing, called The Spectre. It has some stupid lore around it (DON'T SPREAD IT, OR ELSE. I'M NOT MESSING AROUND.) about some ARG, a guy named Tyler, and another named David, yada yada yada, blah blah blah. It's all fiction. Now, let tell you what I wanted to tell.
I created The Spectre. To punish those who deserve it most.
But what do you get punished for?
Well... that's a very good question. I love very good questions!
You get punished for:
- Commiting horrid crimes (murder, rape, etc.)
- SPREADING LIES ABOUT MY OPERATION (you won't do that, right?)
- Spreading lies in general
- Gossiping, in particular
- Starting or owning or being at the head of a cult
- Abusing one's power
- Disinformation (if you don't know what that means, it's misinformation done intentionally)
- Betraying one's trust
- Neglecting one's duty
- Malicious manipulation
- Covering up crimes
- Creating division for profit
- Exploting the vulnerable
According to that stupid lore I mentioned earlier, The Spectre is a malicious entity which seeks power at any cost, yada yada yada, blah blah blah. In reality, "The Spectre" is a code name I gave to the virtual reality where I imprison and punish those who deserve it most. What do I do with these people?
Their punishment is usually designed to fit their wrongdoing, but if they have done something particularly bad, I put them through extra torment, in so-called "rounds", to make an example out of them. This is one thing that lore got right! Now, what I don't do with these special wrongdoers, is remove their physical form. The lore claims The Spectre did it to Tyler, which is untrue. I want people there to forever remember and regret their wrongdoings. And to prevent them from doing their wrongdoings ever again. If they lose their physical form and have to spectate, they might forget their wrongdoing and focus only on spectating!
Now, you might be wondering who I am. The characters list might have given it away, but I'm gonna introduce myself a bit better than just "Hi, I'm Gary Jefferson!"
I'm Garold Jefferson Jr., in formal contexts, they call me Gary Jefferson or Garold Jefferson, but you can just call me Gary. I'm 22 years old. I have a cat, and a dog. I LOVE computers. And coding. I have a strong sense of justice. And I don't like sitting by while really bad things happen around me. This is why I created The Spectre. I hope you know who I am by now, and I hope this information will help you understand my goal, and my actions.
You might be itching to know specific cases of my plan at work! In that case, you're at the right address! Specific cases of my plan at work, will be described, starting next chapter.
