LOTM : surviving as the protagonist's twin sister

Summary:

Reina Moren, an ordinary working woman, found an ancient book in her family library. Curious, she took it to her room.

Without delay, she read the ancient book, titled "The Legend of the Fool."

Reina read the book all night, even giving up her vacation time, and finished it in a week.

At the end of the book, Reina paused, reading the quote, "May the reader give us one more chance to survive." Her dark eyes flickered, her hand caressing the last page, and then she blankly closed the book. Only then did she realize the author.

"The Error"

Reina stared thoughtfully at the ancient book in her hands. A strange expression crossed her face. She casually put the book down and decided to go out to buy some essentials.

Who would have thought that, just as she was walking down the street, a meteor would crash to Earth, destroying it...

"Fuck!"

Reina opened her eyes only to find herself as Keina Moretti, Kiein's twin sister.

'what the hell...'

Notes:

This is my first story, we will see the journey of the reader as klein moretti sibling. who is sick and never mean to be there.

Chapter 1: the beginning of end

Chapter Text

1. Beginning of the end

Tak tak tak

A heels sound echoed, a black-eyed brown-haired woman walked through the room full of bookshelves, her hands touching the books that lined the shelves gently. The afternoon light illuminates ther library with a soft Light.

The woman was named Reina, an ordinary worker who had just come home from work, and was looking for a book to read, she had a habit of reading before going to bed, whether it was a novel or a history book. Like at the time she is looking for a different book. Her black eyes scanned each title.

Almost 80% of the books in the library have been read. Naturally, because the library belongs to Reina's family. Namely Moren. The Moren family is a family full of writing talents, whether it's an article or a novel. Their original works will always be stored in the library. And Reina has read almost all of her predecessor's works.

"Ther really isn't anything interesting anymore?" Reina frowned, she ran out of stories.

Her eyes looked around the room, then fell on a place she had never touched.

The shelves are quite special, the wood is carved in elegant carvings, and covered with gold strokes. Each book is a history book that was discovered by the predecessors when they explored the Ocean.

Reina blinked, looked around the room and finally gave up holding back her curiosity. It stepped calmly towards the shelf. Her hand grabbed a book that had attracted her curiosity ever since.

The book is layered with a black leather finish with a gold color stripe. With a golden title—

"the legend of the Fool"

“… The fool? a novel? How is it possible that the novel is here? Or don't the cleaners forget to put it on another shelf? Ah yes, since the book is an ordinary novel, I should take it and put it on the shelf of another novel later." With a small breath, Reina picked up the book and left the library. Unaware of a thin mist that entered her own body before disappearing.

---

Reina opened her room, a simple room with one desk, one bookcase, one closet and a bathroom. she sat herself on the mattress and rubbed the book cover in her hand. Without waiting long she opened it and read the contents of the book in her hand.

.

"So this is an ordinary transmigration book?"

.

"This... isn't this a little bit... cruel?"

.

"old Neil... may you rest in piece"

.

“… Captain...."

she don't know how many days she had read the book, but Reina couldn't help but read it again and again, until the end of the chapter, Reina stared at the chapter with empty eyes. Didn't expect the ending to be like that.

"On the other hand... Zhou couldn't find a way home, and he couldn't go back to Moretti's residence... Zhou lost his home in two lives... He can only rely on the Tarot Club for his humanity. How could he fight celestial worthy? Uhh... Zhou mingrui, really the best character I've ever read." Reina sighed, her hand grabbing a sheet of tissue and wiping away the tears that had fallen out of nowhere.

such a tragedy... he is just want to go home.. Reina flipped through the sheet and was surprised to find one quote with elegant strokes.

"May the reader give us one more chance to survive." The strokes are so elegant as if they were written carefully, in the sentence, Reina can feel a sense of despair, sadness, and tiredness. Her black eyes dimmed.

she was silent in the same position, beginning to realize something that she had neglected from the beginning of reading the book.

"Author! I forgot... It's weird, it's not unusual for me to forget that." With anticipation, Reina flipped through her book and was surprised, she was 1000% sure that before there was no such stroke on the cover of the book, but now there was another stroke under the title, that was the author's name.

"The Error"

she don't know how long she had been staring at the name of the author of the book, her eyes became blank, she stood up and ignored the book that fell to the floor of the room. Like a puppet that lost her mind, Reina picked up a book and put it on the table with a blank stare, the black eyes that were supposed to display the Light were now dim,

Reina didn't realize what was happening to her body, she blinked and only then did she remember to buy groceries, she walked out of the room, completely ignoring her mobile phone and jacket. It's really not like her—

Outside she with a blank gaze walked all the way, Reina stopped, blinking she nodded only to be startled by a meteor that was coming from nowhere heading towards her. Only then did the empty eyes seem to find their light again.

Too bad, she didn't have time to escape—

CRACKK

"HAH! Ha... Ha... What the fuvk is happening? Dream?"

Her vision was blurry, Reina remembered after checking the author's name she leaned on the mattress and closed her eyes, When she opened it, she was already outside and the meteor was heading towards her, even the screams of the people around her were not heard, she only heard a sound and then a broken glass. And she woke up here.

Reina stared at her trembling hands, she glanced at the mirror. Short black hair, brown eyes, an ordinary face, that's when Reina held her head, memories came in one by one, leaving Reina who was now managing her breathing.

Keina Moretti, Klein's twin sister, the only one who have low health. She is the student in the same course like her twin brother. But her condition is not good, she always mutter some unknown sentence and at the same time clutching her head. It's make her sibling worried, but in the end she always tried her best to go stay away from her sibling when her condition worsened. She loves her family so much that she always maintance her smile, and tell her sibling that her condition is alright.

Reina blinked, finally lowering her hand from gripping her black hair.

Tears flowed from her eyes and fell on the blanket at her feet, she adjusted her breathing and limp got off the mattress and walked to the mirror.

From the memories that Reina got, today was the day when Keina's condition worsened, she gave simple reasons such as drowsiness and she endured her own pain and hallucinations. But unfortunately this is also the day where Keina gives up to fight, and she dies.

From Reina's understanding, Keina is someone who has a high spirituality, making her hear something she shouldn't hear, and see something she shouldn't see. Reina took a deep breath, staring at the mirror of the girl in front of her. Brown eyes that lost their light, short black hair touched her shoulders. Cold sweat that was still visible, pale lips and skin that lost the freshness that an ordinary girl should have.

Reina stared at the mirrored shadow with sympathy. "Keina…, Rest in peace, I promise I will protect your family and make them happy... You can calm down and leave it to me. I promise."

At that moment, the night didn't feel too cold, and when Reina closed her eyes, a soft whisper swept through her ears. "Thank you..."

Reina smiled softly, and nodded.

When she opened her eyes again, Reina had only faith in it.

Reina or now Keina, sat on the chair and pinched her chin, her eyes staring at the red moon.

"June 25, 1349.. 3 days before Zhou's arrival" she began to ponder, she must become an Beyonder to live and protect her family here. But she was also confused about what path she should take.

“… I don't like playing in front, and prefer to play behind the scenes, uh spectator? fuvk no way i playing with that priest... then what...?"

Chapter Text

Keina ruffled her tangled hair, fingers sliding through the knots as if the motion could somehow unknot her thoughts too. The early morning air was cool against her skin, smelling faintly of dust and cold water. For a long moment, she simply stared at the wall — blank, peeling paint under the dim light of dawn.

Only when her own reflection caught her eye did she realize how filthy she was. Dirt streaked her face, her clothes clung to her skin, and her hair… well, it looked like a war zone.

With a twitch of her lips — half amusement, half disgust — she stood up and shuffled toward the bathroom.

.

.

“It’s only five a.m… Should I prepare something? Melissa will wake up soon.”

Keina tidied up the shirt she was wearing, yes, the shirt, she didn't want to wear a dress anymore, even though she knew that her behavior would reap questions Keina didn't care, she chose to wear a shirt and trousers. Observing herself in the mirror, she tidied up her hair then tied it up with a short tie, Keina nodded.

There are things that Reina is grateful for, Keina's nature and her are not much different. If only she had healed, then maybe her nature was very similar to Reina's. But Reina still felt a sense of tiredness beyond the tiredness she received while working day and night at her company.

At least... I'm no longer bound by that document... Goodbye Reina at Work~... Keina smiled happily. she then went out of his room, and into the kitchen, checked all the ingredients, too bad there weren't many spices... Reina stared at the hard bread in front of her and sighed sadly.

she shook her head, expelled the sadness in her heart and began to try to make soup from the existing ingredients. Their situation was even more miserable than when I forgot to bring the money for rent. Keina sighed again. It didn't take long for her to cook. she put it in a bowl and brought her hard bread to the dining table. Keina dipped the bread and ate it.

“.. better than before" she ate quietly, while waiting for Melissa and Klein to wake up.

While waiting and eating, Keina began to think and sort through the storyline of this world. Either way she will stay here and fulfill the last wish of the owner of the body. To protect this family, it is not within the scope of legal beyonder.

I can't enter the official beyonder circle, klein will be there, and I don't want to be bound by the oath nor do I want to lose my freedom, after this I'll go to some black markets in Tingen, as far away from the official beyonder radar as possible... that means I have to cross out the place Where the klein is going to go to that black market... Keina clearly knows if she also doesn't know the ins and outs of this place.

But that didn't mean she couldn't explore Tingen. Maybe she can even go quietly to some areas around tingen.

The most important thing for me here is money. Money is everything, whether it's here or in my world... Keina swallowed her last bite, the more she thought about her shortcomings, the deeper the wrinkles between her eyebrows.

"And it's impossible to buy formulas from other Path Beyonders, at least I have a seer formula from 9 to 0, then some Spectator, Sun, Sailor formulas... "Keina lamented silently, let alone buy ingredients, there is nothing to eat!

There is no other way but to gamble!!

And it's impossible that this place doesn't have a place like a casino, uh even though it's actually not allowed, but hey, in my world there are also some places that are not legally allowed, but what is the attitude of the community? They don't care, and keep building silent casinos in a hoax like the...

"Clothing store"

Keina blinked at the signage of a store

She went for a walk out after eating, not forgetting to put a message for Melissa. It took her about 3 hours to find this place.

Who would have thought this place would become a casino? The corners of Keina's eyes twitched, she wasn't in a hurry to enter, it needed to be emphasized if this shop was in an alley full of homeless people, if it wasn't for the clues she got after threatening some of these people, Keina wouldn't have been able to find this place.

Of course she doesn't completely believe this tramp either, but well let's give it a try...

Keina didn't go in but instead turned around and walked away, for now let's steal some from the kind rich before coming back here.

Being a beggar is not in her dictionary, nor is she ever taught to beg, after all if she is in distress then she must try, no matter how bad the effort is,

Rob the rich to help the poor... Keina murmured with a sly smile. A glint of mischief flashed in her eyes.

.

And during the day, an unexpected event occurred, some rich people suddenly lost 2 to 10 pounds, for someone who had never tried to steal, Keina’s skill was… impressive.. Keina herself began to question whether the original Keina was a child who often stole

In a short time around 3 pm, Keina managed to raise at least 50 pounds!!

... uh I suspect original Keina does this a lot... and hid it from his brother. Because there's no way her body instinct can be this good!! Keina smirked, she planned to search her own room later. For now...

Keina's brown eyes fell on the vagrant in a robe, her eyes narrowed.

“Borrowing this for a moment, Uncle.”

Keina approached the vagrant, she grabbed and dragged him into a dark alley then hit his weak spot, instantly knocking the man unconscious.

"thank you for donation!" said Keina while taking the robe shamelessly, she lowered her hood so that it covered half of her face. Casually walked out as if she had done nothing immoral.

I'd bet 10 pounds... Let's pray that fate will give us luck... Keina squeezed the bag containing 50 pounds, silently glanced at the sky before taking a deep breath and calming herself down.

Turning for a while in the alley, he arrived at the previous place.

"Leon's Clothing Store"

she stared at the shop board with confidence in her eyes. Lowering her robe slightly to only reveal her nose and mouth, Keina stepped up and pushed the door gently.

Kringgg

The sound of the doorbell opening made the atmosphere in the room calm down a little, but it didn't completely stop them from stopping betting.

Keina was quite surprised, because she was sure that when outside she didn't hear any sounds, but now inside her ears there was a slight buzz.

"these rules really are made to be broken, no matter the world!" Keina muttered to herself, before casually walking away. Approaching one table to another.

It should be noted that roselle really deserves to be called the emperor of plagiarism, of card games, chips and others really similar to casinos in the modern world...

Should I thank the emperor? she whispered to herself, chuckling quietly.. she is not in a hurry. she intends to be an audience for a while before taking a bet.

Being aware of this, being vigilant is the key to safety, I don't want to be too flashy, and endanger myself... Who knows when I come back suddenly I fall and hit a trash can that will make me die and people will take my money? Keina thought this wisely. In a world where supernatural powers are normal, she does not dare to act rashly. Especially the fact that she is still an ordinary human being.

After seeing a few rounds, she finally stepped forward and placed a bet. God know how nervous she is. May lady fortuna bless me with good luck for now.

-----

"hm hm hm~"

"Goddess Fortuna is really on my side this time hehehehe Ha! Yesterday I got sick like a land fish, now I'm reaping wealth like an ancient dragon~" Keina smiled happily, her smile so warm that even the sun felt jealous—

Okay kidding, keina just won 3 bets, now the money has increased from 50 to 300 pounds! It is indeed dangerous to walk away with that much money. But Keina has made sure that she is not followed.

After all, such money by them is nothing... yes it's nothing, Keina has already held back several times, it's because her opponent is not an beyonder! Only spoiled children have no time but to spend money.

"This amount of money is enough to buy materials for Sequence 9, for that I also have to think about what path I will take... From the beginning until now, I can feel how lucky I am... If I choose the combat path, won't Fate be angry? Uhm I don't want to fight with little snake and big snake either... But, if... “ Keina looked up to see the orange light that lit up the sky with orange light. Suddenly she was silent, and chose to gamble only.

"Haa... This world is really troublesome"

Chapter Text

Kriirkk—

Hopefully Melissa hasn't come home yet...

Keina!

Fuck, I'm doomed.

Keina closed her eyes and sighed, shoulders tensing. When she opened them again, she froze in surprise.

Because right in front of her, Melissa was staring at her with red, swollen eyes—like she had just finished crying.

Oh shit, what the heck am I doing!? Melissa... she’s crying!?

Looking at her sister’s trembling expression, Keina couldn’t help but freeze on the spot. She wanted to open her mouth, to say anything—but before she could, Melissa suddenly stood up and hugged her tightly.

The sudden contact made Keina stiffen. She wasn’t used to this. In her world as Reina, she had never once received a hug. The warmth of another person’s arms made her heart jolt, foreign and uncomfortable.

“Keina, where were you!? Do you know how worried I was? You disappeared since morning and didn’t come home all day! I thought you fainted on the street or that someone outside hurt you—or maybe you were kidnapped and wouldn’t come back! Do you know how worried Klein and I were!?”

Melissa’s voice cracked as she buried her face into Keina’s shoulder, speaking through choked sobs. The sound of her crying hit Keina’s chest like a heavy stone.

Ah… right. I just realized—Keina never goes out without fainting after thirty minutes, and here I am wandering around like I own the world. If I were in Melissa’s position, I’d be worried to death too. Imagine your sister, who’s always bedridden, suddenly vanishing and walking the streets all day without coming home. Anyone would go insane with worry…

Keina bit her lip and sighed quietly. Guilt burned in her stomach. She lifted her hand and gently rubbed Melissa’s hair. She didn’t have a single excuse that could make sense. Finally, with some difficulty, she opened her mouth and said,

“Melissa, I’m sorry. I didn’t tell you beforehand properly. I just—felt better than before, so I wanted to go out and enjoy the morning. I got so excited that I forgot to go home. I’m sorry.”

Yeah… Keina didn’t plan to lie. She felt genuinely awful.

You’re a terrible sister. You made your little sister cry! I’ll never forgive myself for this. Keina loosened her arms from the hug and gently cupped Melissa’s face. She wiped the tears from her cheeks and smiled softly—apologetically.

“Well, little princess, don’t cry, okay? Or else the prince might cancel the invitation~ Look, I’m right in front of you—healthy, safe, and not injured anywhere.”

Fortunately, Melissa slowly stopped crying. Her eyes darted over Keina from head to toe before she finally nodded helplessly.

Then, with visible embarrassment, Melissa rubbed her face with her sleeve, avoiding Keina’s eyes. Her flushed cheeks and awkward movements made it clear how uncomfortable she felt. Keina, watching her, couldn’t help but smile faintly.

Kehe~ I never imagined I’d see the tough Melissa crying like this within 24 hours. Keina wailed silently in her heart, though she kept her expression soft and calm. After seeing Melissa quiet down, she looked around the room and curiously asked,

“Melissa, where’s Klein?”

She glanced left and right but didn’t see even the bridge of her twin brother’s nose.

Melissa cleared her throat, her voice still a little shaky. “He said he went to find Welch and Naya. He told me he’d be back tomorrow morning.”

“He still went to play? I thought he was supposed to study hard for his interview…” Keina said helplessly, a small sigh escaping her. She didn’t expect Klein to be playing mysticism games when he had something important coming up.

Thinking the original timeline, Keina couldn’t help but grumble in her mind, Fate sure works in bizarre ways.

Her brown eyes fell to the food on the table—and then,

Grumbleerr—

The sound of her stomach echoed embarrassingly loud.

Keina coughed, her ears tinged red. Then, trying to compose herself, she straightened her posture and walked inside with Melissa beside her.

“You left this for me? Thank you, little princess~ You’re indeed the best among the best!”

It should be noted: whether it’s Keina or Reina, neither of them can cook to save their life. One never learned because she was always sick; the other was simply hopeless. Give them a spatula, and Keina would only give you a confused look—while Reina would probably blow up the entire kitchen. It’s best not to give them a kitchen at all.

Melissa snorted but didn’t say anything. She only whispered as she turned away, “If you’re done eating, you should rest. I’ll go to my room to study.”

Then, without another word, Melissa walked off toward her room.

Keina, who already knew her little-sister’s embarrassed personality all too well, only gave her a knowing smile. A tiny mischievous grin tugged at her lips.

Then she sat down and began devouring all the food on the table. Since she hadn’t eaten anything all day, she wasn’t about to let a single crumb go to waste.

-----------------

Tik Tok. Tik Tok.

Keina looked at the pocket watch in her hand with a blank expression. She had intended to brush off her goal for the night and rest—but then, something strange happened.

Not long after dinner, just as she was about to go to bed, she noticed a suspicious shadow outside her window. Before she could think twice, she followed it.

Now, she found herself standing in a dim alley… lost.

“Yes, lost,” she muttered under her breath.

“Something’s not right. Why did I even decide to chase that suspicious person in the first place? With my current ability, I’m just courting death. But still… I chose to chase it. Like that thing had something I wanted. Something that belonged to me…”

She closed her pocket watch and continued walking cautiously. She didn’t dare lower her guard. After all, she was just an ordinary human now—if something went wrong, her only weapon was her ability to run and scream.

The dim alley stretched endlessly before her. The flickering lamplight barely touched the wet cobblestones, and her own footsteps echoed unnervingly.

This alley looks like the background of a horror game… great. Keina tried to cheer herself up with a shaky chuckle. At times like this, she’d rather meet a ghost than a monster—or maybe, hopefully, nothing at all.

But—Keina realized something.

She was lost.

With a mix of curiosity and wariness, she walked deeper into the dark alley.

One step. Two steps.

Some old man once said that on the third step, there’d be a surprise. Back when she was Reina, Keina never believed in that kind of thing.

But now—she saw it herself.

Just five steps away from where she stood, there was a body.

A man lay sprawled on the ground, his neck sliced open. The blood soaked through his clothes, pooling beneath him. The worst part—his chest. There was a gaping hole where his heart should have been. But there’s nothing in that bloody hole.

Keina’s entire body froze. She didn’t dare move. Even breathing felt impossible. Her skin turned pale, her eyes wide in shock.

In two lives… this is the first time I’ve ever seen something so horrifying.

“…Oh my God…” she whispered hoarsely. Then her gaze caught something. A small, glowing orb hovered faintly above the man’s chest. It pulsed with light, thin and ethereal.

It looked… beautiful. Her eyes locked onto it, unblinking. Before she realized it, her body had moved—now only ten centimeters from the corpse. Her eyes shimmered with a strange hunger. A yearning.

That shining ball looked delicious.

Her hand trembled as she reached out, fingers brushing against it.

I must eat it. I must devour it. This ball is important. It’s mine.

Without hesitation, she lifted her hand to her mouth—and swallowed the orb.

Glup.

Instantly, visions burst behind her eyes—like fragments of someone else’s memories.

First, she saw a magnificent place. Golden, grand, and filled with light. Three figures stood before her: a red-haired child with fierce crimson eyes; a black-haired child with mischievous gold eyes; and an adult with shoulder-length black hair and a gentle, tired smile.

Then the scene shifted.

The black-haired child looked up at a sky full of stars, her face empty, emotionless. In her hands lay the red-haired child—his body drenched in blood.

The third time, the same girl sat alone upon a stone statue. Her expression filled with deep sorrow. No one surrounded her. In her hands, she held a cotton doll with red hair and a smug grin stitched on its face.

Crackkk!!

The fragments shattered, scattering into countless golden dust particles.

Keina blinked rapidly, her breath unsteady. She was back in the same alley. Her hands trembled as she touched her forehead, trying to piece together what she’d just seen.

What the heck was that? It was too fast—I can’t remember a single thing!

She groaned, shaking her head and forcing her thoughts away.

“Forget it. It’s not important anyway,” she whispered, though unease coiled tight in her chest. She needed to go back. She needed to rest.

This is too much trouble. I’ve only transmigrated for 24 hours, and I’ve already found so much trouble. I just want to rest! Still murmuring to herself, she finally found her way back to her rented house. Standing before the door, she let out a long breath of relief.

Finally—home.

She went straight to her room, locked the door, and slumped onto her bed.

Her body sank into the sheets, exhaustion dragging her down.

What the heck was that vision… what was that feeling? Her thoughts blurred. The heaviness in her eyelids finally won. And Keina drifted into sleep.

Chapter Text

It was late when Keina woke up. She stared at the ceiling with confused eyes. There was a reason she acted like this.

It was her dream, she dreamed her childhood life, in her dream she woke up in a place she knew very well, a place where she often worshipped, and a place where she was said to be the darling of the gods, but Reina herself did not want to believe it. A gift from god never means to be free.

In the dream, Reina is praying in front of a golden statue. She wears a bone-white hanfu dress with a pattern of gold scales that is always worn by the locals. Her fists were clenched and cupped before her nose. Her head was lowered, she realized the statue of the god in front of her was shining a little brighter than usual, It always did whenever Reina came to pray—the statue of the god would shine more vividly.

She was immersed in her thoughts until the voice of the believer behind her called out to destroy the peace that Reina was protecting, Reina raised her head, and walked away from where she was to the man who was wearing a golden hanfu with a white pattern. the person gave Reina an amulet and said something. The silver amulet was shaped like a snake biting its tail, forming a horizontal number eight. Below it, a small white key swung gently

This amulet was a sacred relic, usually displayed in the most revered part of the temple and guarded heavily so no one could steal it. Yet now, it was being given to her freely.

"May the gods grant you good luck throughout your life," the person smiled softly, Reina of course took it, her eyebrows furrowed, a confused expression visible on her small face.

"But Master, isn't this a precious gift from the gods? Why was it given to me?" she did not understand why she got the amulet that had been guarded for hundreds of years, she was not a person who truly believed in the gods.

The teacher just smiled softly "because this is fate" Reina held her amulet with a look of disbelief, she knew she was only 8 years old, but that didn't mean she was stupid, this item was a sacred relic, how could it be given to a child who didn't even really believe in a god.

Although her heart was full of questions, Reina was sure that this master would not answer her questions. Sighing, Reina hooked the amulet around her waist, bowed respectfully, and left the temple.

Shortly after she came out the morning sun warmed her skin, the wind hit and flew beautiful flowers. A gentle breeze stroked Reina's cheek which still had baby oil. It was as if trying to give a blessing. Reina raised her head to glance at the temple behind her. And grasped tightly the amulet that hung from her waist.

The temple is so beautiful, with beautiful flowering trees, a small river flowing down the cliffs, and lotus flowers, typical of traditional Chinese, but she has to climb about 1000 steps to get here. This is normal, because this temple is placed in a relatively high area. Reina looked at the scene in front of her in awe. No matter how many times she came back here, she would never get tired of the scenery above this cliff.

After enjoying the beautiful scenery in front of her, Reina finally went down using the stairs she used earlier.

And her dream stopped, Reina, who is now Keina, stared at the ceiling with a dazed expression.

“… it's been so long since I dream bout that place... I wonder how master doing right now..." she sighs, and get up. But before she wants to stretch her body. She's froze. Because right now her mind filled with new information.

The information itself from something she eats yesterday.

The thing she eat is a beyonder characteristic! Holy crap!

There's not much information but even so, it's still make her shocked.

What I eat yesterday is a monster beyonder characteristic. Sequence 9 from fate pathway. After a while she shook her head in depression.

No matter what world I goes, I will always tie to fate huh? Eh? Wait what is it? She frowned, because the information from her power is a little bit different. Just a tiny bit.

"Hum? They are unknown honorific name. the key of light, the key of past, present and future, the ruler of fate–" she froze. Keina forgot to not say honorific name with ancient Hermes.

Damn it! Stupid, you idiot—

Her eyes filler with white light. she hear a whisper on her ears. Then she got inspiration. She took a deep breath and walked to form a pattern loop. She close her eyes. Feeling something pulling her. A lot of whisper come, then quiet. Keina opened her eyes little by little. What she see is a beautiful place.

It was so beautiful it felt both familiar and unreal. The sky was a deep blue, and a river cascaded down from the mountain. A great silver tree stood beside a wooden gazebo where a white guqin with golden scales rested. Golden leaves shimmered in the air, lotus flowers surrounded the gazebo, and before it stood the same golden statue from her dream. Keina was silent.

No wonder, no wonder she felt familiar with this place... It was the place she frequented and the place where she had just dreamed. It's just that the building now replace by a single gazebo in the center of the place and with that big illusioned tree. And the statue in front of her is the same statue as it was then. Keina manages the emotional turbulence she gets. Then walked closer to the gazebo in front of her. The river in front of her moved to create a ladder that she could step on.

Step step step

Keina stared at the golden statue in front of the guqin musical instrument, her eyes full of questions and doubts. She has some theory for this place. she calmly sat on the chair, her hand grabbing the guqin musical instrument,

Slowly, A soft melody filled the quiet space. With each note, memories of her childhood flowed through her like a river. She remembers the first time she was interested in guqin and asked her father to buy one. She  remembers how bad the melody she produced when she first played.

She remembers her hard work to learn to play this musical instrument. Until her fingernails are damaged. And finally, when she opened her eyes, she remembered herself playing for the first time at a lunar party...

Tears flowed from the tip of her eyes and fell to the guqin in front of her. Keina then took a deep breath, and stopped playing, turning her gaze and focus to the statue of the god in front of her.

"care to explain? What is it?" her voice was full of disbelief, she remembered her life, and finally where she read the book, she was sure it had something to do with the statue in front of her.

The golden statue shone and a voice replied to it.

"Hahaha, there's no need to be tense, my dear child. Indeed this is the same place you always pray when you are a child but before that you never know the existence of this change. Until you are older and the amulet I give you touch the existence of book you bought home, that book have the power of this place, it is there that the threads of destiny touch each other and create ripples that have never happened before.

“And for my name You can call me key of light, this is source material key of light, I am the consciousness that lives in this sefirot, all the blessings that I give you before you time travel come from this sefirot, and the reason why you don't turn crazy, and still be able to live with complete knowledge is because of this place. And because I have chosen you as the successor of this place."

Keina blinked then stare at this statue with a some doubt, "so I'm not transmigrrate to a book but to the future? Like zhou mingrui? The different is lay on that book I have, since you say the amulet and the book have the same aura, when the two auras touch it creates a new ripple that is different from what it should be? Is it safe for me to say that the book was sent from the future? But how could it be..? Oh, is it because—"

"Stop!, this is not something you need to know, broadly speaking, what you understand now is the truth. That's all I can say." The voice full of power cut off Keina's words firmly.

"Uh... alright, then key of light... ah I remember this is one of the two sefirot who not accommodate by Celestial and God almighty. But I never thought this sefirot will have a consciousness."

"It's because neither Celestial nor Almighty can control Fate. and if one of them is still trying, then the creator will awake. My dear child, you wouldn't want that, right?"

Keina bit her lips then nodded. "yes, also I'm curious, after all I'm not someone who will save everyone, why do you choose me? You have a lot more believer who more devout than me."

A laugh echoes the entire place, "that's the reason I choose you, you are not devout enough, so you will never all agree to me, never agree to the arrangement of fate. this is what I need the most, life and fate itself is not kind, they are harsh and cruel. They need someone who can control it like a tool, And you my child, is the best incarnation who will fight fate."

Keina narrowed her eyes, "but that's not the main reason right?"

The statue just smile with a gentle smile. They then change the topic "I will give you the control of this place, but, you need to reach a sequence 0 to have full control over this place. After all I can't let my dear to be polluted by corruption right?, alright my dear, it's time for me to sleep, if you have a question just ask now."

She took a deep breath and look at the statue. "how much I can use the power of this place? Is the honorific name should be changed? What price should I pay? And last, what will happen to that two snake?"

"You can just borrow the power of this place 10%, the honorific name—you can choose to change it or not, it's not that important to me, the two snakes, hahaha fate choose you, so what will they do? You already have this place. As for the price..." the statue paused then look at her with a deep look.

"you already paid"

Then she hear a crack sound. She looked up and found the statue vanish to the thin dust. She looks at the dust with complicated feeling. "um, what it say again in the last? I can't hear it clearly, anyway I will know in the future... so this is my cheat? Just like that?" she whispered, a doubt arouse but then again, she doesn't have a choice. then shook her head.

When she closes her eyes prepare to leave, she got inspiration and project the feeling of fall.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself still standing up, she blinked and can't help but laugh with a bitter laugh.

"I wonder if that two snakes know my existence." She said with amusement in her brown eyes. Then stretch out. She walk to the bathroom to go shower, just then she remember her gold pound!

alas... this day won't be too chaotic like yesterday right?

-------

After taking shower, Keina feel more refreshed, she wears a simple dark green dress. And make her short hair not tied up. After checkin her condition again, and can't see anything unusual, Keina let out a small smile. She go out of her room to find her twin brother sat on the table and his hands took notes quickly.

Keina walked over to him and sat down beside him. her eyebrows were raised, curious. "klein, what are you writing?"

Hearing a sound beside him, Klein flinch then turned his head to the right, seeing his own face but more soft and pale, Klein let out a huff. Then replay with a smile. "Nothing important, just take a few notes for the interview."

Hearing the klein reason, Keina couldn't help but frown. Because her intuition says klein is lying. Keina's expression darkened. she was indeed waiting for Zhou Mingrui's arrival, but that didn't mean she fon’t care about this klein in beside her.

As an outsider, Reina doesn't have many strong emotions for klein, but as Keina, the twin of klein naturally have a lot of emotion about klein. Klein is just an innocent character who was victimized by ince Zangwill, unfortunately I can't do anything either, if zhou doesn't come... it was an even worse ending. For the first time, Reina will close her eyes and ears.

Keina sigh with her own complicated feelings, and choose not to interpret anything for now.

She reaches out and ruffles her own twin brother hair. Then a soft and charming smile reach her face.

"Ah! You're making a mess again!" klein put down the question pen as Keina shuffled the random hair he had tidyed. He pouted and snorted. But he was secretly grateful, Melissa wasn't lying, Keina was starting to heal... That's good, I don't want to lose anyone again. Klein chose to ignore Keina's presence. But a small smile was displayed on his face.

Seeing my twin sister happy, make me happy too, emperor roselle is right! 'There is nothing more precious in the world than family'. Klein, feeling better, continue to write on his notebook. While ignoring a beaming smile on his sister face.

Keina just shook her head at Klein's behavior. Then she got up and took bread and water and sat down in front of the klein, eating her food quietly. She hadn't eaten since then, and now she was hungry!

HM... Klein doesn't seem to have touched the book Antigonous? He does not have the aura of the sefirot, meaning that it is true, the aura of the sefirah only exists when the transmigrator soul descends to earth. When the transmigrator of the sefirah did not choose 3 of the paths that Celestial controlled, the aura of the sefirah would disappear. And I also remember the celestial also had power in the field of destiny, but destiny was not his main power. Which means I can still destroy the timeline set by brother Ammon...

Thinking of this made the smile on her face brighter, and it also made Klein couldn't help but be curious, but Klein Is a good brother, he didn't try to ask anything and focused back at his notebook.

The threads of destiny began to intertwine creating a new timeline where I was the one who ruined it. I wonder how big the butterfly when I destroy the original timeline? Hmmm, of course, no one here has power in the field of space and time, right? Keina chose to chase away her thoughts for a moment and stood back to walk the way out to accommodate her luck. She is also still thinking about how she will play as a monster.

"In my previous life, someone who was called a monster was usually a genius who always accurately predicted movements in the time that had not yet happened" Keina pinched her chin, she nodded and looked at the blue sky. She is remembering information about this path.

Monster, robot, lucky one, disaster priest, winner, uh what is it again? Keina scratches her head in frustration, but it's not without gain. With this information she can act according to the name. Suddenly, she paused, she look stunned. She stood there and gaze the sky with blank emotion.

Ah..? I already digest a big portion, is it because I've been calling monster for most of my life? So I only need to... summarized and digest a little bit? This, isn't this too much? Ha anyway it's a good thing for me too. When I touch the disaster priest I can run wild to anything disaster come and then accommodate luck. Remember how chaotic the year later, she believe she can digest this potion fast. Thinking about it again, isn't beyonder in fate pathway a little bit lucky to have a lot of disaster unfold later? They can digest the potion with calm, no need to cause disaster.

"with this, I can act as a robot right?" she shakes her head with a helpless smile. She can feel her own life will be more chaotic and fun.

Chapter Text

June 27th, 1349, Tingen; Iron Cross Street

The sun shines on the world, the hustle and bustle of the people enlivens this hot day

In a small alley, a woman sits in a box next to a trash can. The woman played a bronze coin in her thin hand. The woman is none other than Keina herself.

she was taking shelter after detouring and getting used to this road, she also carried about 10 pounds in her pocket.

Cling—Clang.

The coin floated and spun before falling into the palm of her hand. it was head!

"Hm, Klein really went to the Welch house..." Keina leaned against the wall as her eyes caught sight of a young man who was now in a hurry running in a certain direction. Looking at the scenery in front of her without being able to do anything. Keina sighed a little, releasing the heavy feeling where she couldn't save Klein from the antigonous book.

"Ince Zangwill has acted.. Ah no that’s not right, that angel is already in action, welp what can I do? I'm just a weak and helpless sequence 9. If I break it at the beginning I will definitely be eliminated for the sake of the story. As if the gods here would care about someone as small as me." she mocked the gods of this world. Who really can’t be describe from a human. she set her sights on the coin in her hand. Her eyebrows furrowed.

Her fingers brushed over the bronze surface as she whispered “After tonight, I’ll do everything I can to avoid the Evernight’s gaze…Then try to convince Melissa and Benson that I’m going to work somewhere far away. I still have 290 pounds, that's more than enough to start my own work." Keina flicked her fingers. Sending the coin flying back.

Cling—Clang.

Keina glanced at it and smiled brightly. It was heads again. She slipped the coin back into her pocket and walked out of the alley, blending casually into the crowd ahead.

Keina walks casually and arrives at a clothing store:

First! Buy better clothes!!

Cringgg

The store bell rang when Keina went inside. Keina looked around this place, and couldn't help but be amazed. So many clothes are neatly arranged according to the color, and there are also shoes and headdresses, then in every corner of the room are decorated with vines. The sunlight shines on the room with a soft light, and this room smells like a flower.

Keina’s eyes wandered over the dresses and shirts, curiosity gleaming in her gaze, until she noticed a shopkeeper approaching her. Keina cleared her throat and smiled politely.

"Hello Miss, welcome to our shop, is there anything I can help you with?"

Keina didn't hide her desire and immediately replied, "Exactly, I want 2 pairs of clothes, one simple dress, and one formal dress." The shop waiter nodded and excitedly escorted Keina to the clothes rack, she didn't wait to be asked, the waiter immediately explained the price of the clothes and the quality.

"Miss, this dress is made from the best fabric in this place, every lace is neatly sewn... Are you interested?"

"Oh? How much does it cost?"

"Only 16 soli 4 pence miss" the waiter smiled, while Keina was silent, she quietly grumbled. Why you not robbed me! "Ah... This outfit is too precious for me, do you have an ordinary one?" Keina bit her deep cheek, embarrassed to ask this, but still! The money is only 300 pounds! And she is trying to save!!

The maid’s smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered and nodded, leading Keina to another section.

It didn’t take long for Keina to find a dress she liked. Her total for both formal and casual clothes came to about two pounds. She happily carried her new clothes home.

“Melissa and Klein haven’t come home yet. Good!” Keina grinned. She quickly changed into her formal clothes and hurried out, not forgetting to bring about 200 pounds with her.

She was heading toward a shop near Blackthorn Security — planning to buy a small storefront to start her own business. How did she know an unused store was for sale? Well, let’s just call it luck.
Cooking was out of the question — she didn’t want to compete with the restaurants on Zouteland Street. So, she would open a clothing business. The fashion of this era was far too torturous for modern girls like her.

Fortunately, she is an expert in drawing designs. And for sewing and others? Oh keina will temporarily buy someone else's services.

There's she is, chatted with the owner of the building.

"so how much does this place cost?"

“Young lady, you’re in luck,” the man said, scratching his head. “I need money fast. I’ll sell it for 150 pounds. Do we have a deal?”

150 pounds… shit, I’ll have to gamble again… Keina lamented inwardly. Fate Pathway should really be renamed the Gambler Pathway…

Oh? Maybe I can open this in a less strict area… like Bayam… After calculating again and again, she finally gave up and nodded.

"Alright, this will do" she said with a low voice.

The building wasn’t large, but it was cozy. She needed more money for now, so after signing the contract and receiving the keys, she entered the place. Her eyes swept around — checking the walls, the windows, the corners. From here, she could even see Blackthorn Security five blocks away.

"Alright... now let's clean this place first.. and buy some decoration... “

.

.

It was late evening when she finally finished everything. Keina stood by the door and looked around once more — the once-empty room was now filled with furniture, plants, and flowers.

“I still prefer to open a gambling den…” she murmured with a wry smile. Shaking her head, she began to think about more pressing matters.

How to convince Benson... Or should I hide it? Her brows furrowed as a headache began to throb. She massaged her temple, sighing heavily.

“And there’s another problem… how do I hire employees? Ah, whatever — I can find a poor girl from the West Borough. They’d rather work than sit around waiting for death. Alright, that’s settled!”

Keina walked out of the shop and locked it. As she made her way home, she suddenly stopped and looked down at herself. She just remembered — she was still wearing her formal clothes!
If Melissa or Klein saw her, she’d have a hard time explaining. Keina bit her lip, thinking fast.

Keina bit her lip, thinking about how to prevent Melissa or Klein from seeing her.

Soon an inspiration came to his mind. Keina walks into the alley and begins to pray to herself—ekhem to the Key of Light, asking for good luck so Melissa and Klein wouldn’t see her tonight.

“Yes, I need to exploit—eh, I mean borrow—some benefit from this Sefirot…”

"The Key of Light

"the key of past, present and future,

"The Ruler of Fate

"I pray to you, bless me with good luck"

She felt something stir within her body, a strange warmth spreading through her veins. Looking down, she saw a small silver looped symbol forming on her hand. Keina stared at it in quiet understanding, then continued her way home on Iron Street.

sure enough, there are no obstacles! –

she smoothly went to her room, not seeing Klein or Melissa. wow this is too op... I wonder what price I should pay— Her thought was cut short as her chest tightened. She coughed, once, twice — blood splattered onto her palm.

"huh...?" she blinked, confused, before stumbling to the bathroom to clean her hand and mouth.

"Is this.. The drawback? But I never though... oh wait, is it because I'm too weak to use the power of sefirot? So my body react like this... I remember klein use the power of sefirot when he seq 5.. so yes I'm too weak right now... How funny"

She came out, grabbed a towel, and sighed deeply. A warm bath and dinner would help.

-------

“Melissa, did you see Klein?” Keina now sat gracefully at the table, speaking softly to her younger sister.

Melissa paused her reading and nodded. “Yes, he’s in his room right now. Why? Do you need him? But Keina, I have to say… Klein looks strange today.” Her voice dropped, worry flickering in her eyes.

Keina chewed the bread before ruffle melissa hair playfully. "No need to worry, maybe Klein is busy reading his book, and forgot to go eat with us, I'll give him some food later" she then pinched Melissa's cheek, and gave her a calm smile. Melissa's worries eased.

“Since Klein’s studying hard, I can’t just sit around,” Melissa said, standing up with determination. “I’ll study hard too — I’ll go back to my room.”

Hearing that, Keina smiled softly and nodded, "oh of course, our Melissa have to study well~ But don’t stay up too late, okay?"

“Mm! You shouldn’t stay up late either, Keina.”

“Alright, alright. I’ll rest after I give this to Klein.”

“Promise?”

“Promise.” Keina made an OK sign, and Melissa nodded before heading off.

After convincing Melissa, Keina looked down at the bread and milk before her and let out a weak laugh.
“Unfortunately, Klein is going to leave… Should I give him one last hug? Ah, forget it. No one knows — the real Keina’s already gone.”

Keina laughed bitterly, she took a deep breath, and went with bread and milk, to the klein room.

Evernight will set her gaze to klein soon enough, I have to be careful and then leave as soon as possible. Keina took a deep breath, calming herself. Then open the door of the small room.

"Klein, eat first, you haven't eaten since lunch"

Klein turned toward her. He didn’t move as usual — no worried words, no warmth. He just sat there, eyes blank, lips curved in a faint, empty smile.

Keina bit her cheek, staring at her younger twin — barely five minutes younger, but still her little brother. Her gaze fell on the table — an open book. When she caught sight of the other book beside it, her body froze. Cold sweat ran down her spine. Keina closed her eyes and held back the coldness she felt.

“Klein, don’t forget to eat,” she said shakily, setting the plate and milk on the table. Her hands trembled. She avoided looking at the book, pretending not to notice.

As she turned to leave, Klein grabbed her wrist. Keina flinched. She slowly looked over her shoulder, cold sweat clinging to her skin. She forced a smile. “What is it, Klein?”

Klein stared at her blankly for a long moment before standing and pulling her into a tight embrace. Keina blinked in surprise but instinctively hugged him back.

“K-Klein…” she began, but he interrupted her in a trembling voice. “Keina… what really happened… to you?”

he said with some paused every word, Her breath caught. She didn’t know what to say. She gently pushed him back into the chair, breaking the embrace.

Keina looked into his brown eyes, taking a deep breath. “Sleep tight, Klein. Don’t worry about me.” She ruffled his hair, flicked his forehead, and pinched his cheek — just like old times — before turning to leave.

I’m sorry. I truly am sorry. I hope you find the real Keina in the afterlife. I’ll do my best to protect this family you left behind. Sleep well, Klein Moretti. Keina closed the door of her room and slumped to the floor, taking a deep breath, Her clothes were damp with sweat and adrenaline.

As she stared at the book her spiritual screamed not to see it, she could hardly avert her gaze, but then she didn't expect to be surprised by Klein action. she could still see the despair in Klein’s eyes. Guilt flooded her chest. She knew this would happen, yet she could do nothing.

She took a shaky breath, her hands were cold, she stood up with her body supported with difficulty and walked slowly to her bed.

Bukk

Keina collapsed onto it, shutting her eyes.

“…”

“I have more important things to do tomorrow. Let’s just… forget it.”

Chapter Text

June 28th 1349, in sharing bathroom

Keina stared at her reflection in the mirror, she couldn't sleep peacefully, she also woke up when klein did suicide, for some reason the soundproof that was supposed to protect the surroundings was useless to her. Finally Keina woke up, and she was also a good sister to accompany Klein until morning.

“… Goodbye, Klein. And Welcome to this sad world Zhou mingrui" she whispered, her eyes look at certain direction. Then a weak sigh escapes her dry lips. She shakes her head, put a smile on that pale face then brushes her hair.

"It's still 5 a.m.; I need to go first before little Zhou. I can’t let evernight gaze to myself, it’s still early, and I’m not need her help just now." she tied her shoulder length hair on ponytail, put simple clothes and go out from this sharing bathroom.

Her pace slow and steady, she avoid her twin brother room, and goes to her own room to take some paper and quill. she wrote a single sentence.

'I have work now, so I need to go there as soon as possible, don't worry about me!'

Keina blinked and put the notes on the table, she knew Melissa would come and check her room so Keina put the paper on her desk. she stood up, took the rest of her money and left the room. The sun had not yet risen. The cold air swept over Keina's facial skin, giving her goosebumps.

She tighten her cloak and walk to the west. Trying her own luck for this day, she need to recruit pretty people in west, she believe she can find one or two beautiful tool for her own business.

It didn't take long for Keina to find the homeless in this area. Thanks to certain emperor. He raises the technology but he too make those pitiful humans more worst outcome.

This is the price He need to pay, how pitiful, these people born with only one goal, to survive; they didn't wish to much, just a small portion of happiness and full stomach. Yet, they can't get it, and suffer more in the future. Their lives are nothing more than "born, survive, dead"

Keina's brown eyes swept over this person, there was no empathy in those brown eyes, people here didn't need pity, Keina knew that very well. It's bitter but that's life. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, blunt up and down sharply.

"Human... such a beautiful and sorrowful word" she said with a playful smile on her face, that smile devoid any warm, just a cold and indifferent tone. She walked calmly to the alley, she saw one by one the faces of people, from children to the elderly. she would occasionally shake her head and walk back.

Until the brown eyes stared at the two people hugging each other, both people were women, maybe 18yrs , they had blonde hair and bright green eyes. Keina hummed in agreement. Then she walked over to the two Women who were now trembling.

"You guys, do you want to live?" Keina squatted down and looked at the two people in front of her gently.

Keina's question was answered with a wary look from the two, one of the Women pushed the other back and looked at Keina with a wary look. Keina raised one eyebrow in interest.

This look, heh, I thought I did have good eyes. The gaze cast by the blonde haired woman in front of her was a gaze that had not given up on life, and was still struggling. And keina likes this look. Compared to the dead gazes of the others, these two Women clearly shone in this slum.

Keina softened her smile and gave her hand, "hm~ ? I'll give you food and shelter but you guys have to work for me."

“…” The woman clearly weakened her vigilance, she was about to refuse but a belly sound sounded behind her, making the Woman speechless. she pulled the short blonde woman behind her who keina thought it was her younger sister of the woman in front of her.

Keina patiently waited for these two younger siblings to think, not caring about the gazes of the others.

"Why? Why us?" finally after about 3 minutes, the woman in front of her asked in disbelief. Her bright green eyes stared at Keina firmly. Even though the hands that hugged his sister were trembling.

"Why do you guys? Heh, you guys have a perfect face—"

"If it becomes a lust-satisfier like a brothel, we refuse," said the woman with toughness in her voice. Keina looked at her not blinking then laughed, then stood up, casually turned around.

"Of course not, I'll explain to you, but this place is not a suitable place to talk, come with me if you agree, stay there if you disagree."

The woman stuttered and quickly stood up, she grabbed her sister's hand and walked after Keina who was already in front of the alley.

"Good Girl"

---------

Rey had a bad day, first she was chased by a merchant just because she took one grape. Then her sister Ren had a fever, Rey didn't know how to treat her sister, she just tightened her arms around Ren and whispered some warm word to calm her sister. Her hands trembled as her mind began to think of bad things.

Death is not an abnormal thing here, in this slum, death is a daily food, for Rey who only has her twin sister Ren, she will do everything for her sister to be able to smile for the next few days, therefore she accepts the invitation of the foreign woman in front of her. Aside from being worried about Ren's condition, she also needed a place to sleep without worrying about the stench and rats on the streets.

Rey and Ren had a family before, but overnight her father and mother died, their property and residence were taken away by their uncle, and they had to survive on the streets. If that wasn't the worst, Ren was raped, luckily Rey managed to stop the street thugs quickly, although Rey also received a knife wound in her palm.

But it's okay, as long as Ren is alive... Rey had a goal to stay awake with enthusiasm the next day,

Rey began to lose faith for the gods, she began to distrust the gods, and threw away her beliefs.

In an environment like this, is faith important? Then what if Rey dies? So let it. Death is no worse than life.

Because of that, Rey didn't mind following this woman, maybe their suffering would be over? Rey will grasp the last thread given to her. For the sake of her younger sister for the sake of her only family.

After all, she doesn’t have anything to lose, One more suffering would not destroy Rey's determination for Ren.

"What's your name?" Rey's thought interrupted, she gaze to the woman beside her and looked into the brown eyes of the strange woman next to her and replied briefly.

"Rey" The woman hummed, then a small smile appeared on her face.

"Keina, call me Keina" Keina smile to the sibling next to her. Rey will replies with some sarcastic word but her other hand being pull by her sister making her shut her mouth. Rey glances at her sister then takes a breath.

"This is my sister, Ren"

Hearing her name called, Ren nodded and smiled weakly, her cheeks flushed with fever. But her green eyes didn't lose Light. Keina glanced at Ren and returned her smile

What a beautiful face, I’m a little jealous, but this face can make me more money. Keina laughed silently. she really liked these two sibling. They remind her of some story she read in her world before transmigrate, and a smile broke out on her face.

Soon enough they arrived at the Keina shop.

Pulling the key from her pocket, Keina entered, followed by the two sisters. Without looking at them, she walked into one room.

"You two go clean up first and put on the clothes in the next room, I'll prepare food first" Keina pointed to the room that was originally a Warehouse, then to the bathroom next to her, a soft smile still plastered on Keina's pale face.

“… Aren't you afraid we take it and run away?" Rey asked with a her guard up, according to her experience the woman named Keina in front of her trusted them too much, it’s a little concerning, what if the one she take is someone else? Rey really couldn't understand Keina's thoughts.

"Would you do that to your Savior?" she asked with the same calm tone, as if she had never thought of it. She paused then look at the sibling.

"I trust my judgement" Keina continued with a hand pointing at Ren who was still weakly leaning on Rey. Rey tightened her hand and bit her deep cheek.

“…” Seeing the reaction of the two sisters in front of her, Keina nodded in satisfied.

"Well please see your room and take some shower, I'll get some food first" Keina walked over and gave Rey a understanding gaze. Then go out.

Rey stared at Keina's departure then took a deep breath. she whispered to Ren "Ren, let me help you clean up"

For now Rey will trust Keina. what could be worse? Isn’t this better than live on the slum?

---------

On the way, Keina stared at the clouds in the sky, she knew she was push to hard on the two sibling, but for her it was better to show bitterness than a sweet lie. So she didn't regret one of her sentence.

When she was about to enter the restraurant in the novel, Keina saw two people in front of Blackthorn security one is a middle age man with high hairline and deep gray eyes, the other have black hair and green eyes, he have natural upturned lips making his face more romantic. Seeing that her lips form a smooth curve.

Dunn smith and Leonard Mitchell… look like those two will go to welch to investigate Antigonus notebook.

she took out her pocket watch and looked at the clock, 8 A.M

"Another hour, and the first scenario is about to start, The Birth of Tarot Club" Keina chuckled, and entered the restaurant, ordering 2 food packages. And wait at the table outside. For some reason Her eyes caught a bird carrying some kind of green gem, the bird was blue with some black on its neck and tail.

Keina didn't take her eyes off until the bird hit another bird and the gem the bird was carrying fell to the ground below. The gem gleaming with a clear shine, when she look at the gem she felt the pull, and her spiritual ask her to take the gem.

"This... fate guide said in the novel?" Keina raised her eyebrow and  looked into the restaurant, saw that her order was not finished, Keina walked to pick up the green gem in front of her.

Her gaze narrowed, she could see the flow in the green gem, but there was nothing special in the gem, for some reason fate asked her to take this gem. Keina put the gem in her pocket and went into the restaurant to take her order.

Two food and vegetable packages. Keina brought her food to her shop. The sibling must be starve

Cringgg

“I’m back-

"Hm? You guys really have beautiful faces, I'm a little jealous~" The first thing she did immediately after seeing the two sibling was to throw out a mischievous word, because the sibling is really beautiful.

The older have clean blond hair, green eyes shine with new live, and the dress fit her skinny body. Same to her twin, she have short blond hair with drop eyes, she look exhausted but her eyes still shine with new goal. They have fair skin with no scar. Compare to her own face, the siblings can be a model…,

Before Rey replied to her words. Keina pushed the food package into her hand.

"This is your meal, don’t disturb me, I have other business" she said as she went to another room, it was the office room that Keina deliberately separated. Compared to the room occupied by Rey and Ren, this room was no less small but enough to take care of the files. Keina closed the door and locked it, she walked over to the table and chair. Sitting herself.

Her hand grabbed the green gem in her pocket and began to examine it seriously. she activated her spirit vision, the gem that was once as clear as a leaf in the morning, is now covered with fog in it making the green color of the gem dark. Keina can feel the pull in this gem. But the gray mist inside this gem made another thought come to mind.

she pulled out her pocket watch and looked at the time clock now. 8.56 a.m.;

“… don't tell me this Is the entrance to the sefirot belonging to Klein? Like the artifact miss justice and Mr. hanged man have? If so, what a coincidence! then I don't have to bother thinking about how to enter and become a member of the tarot..." Keina clearly thought about how she could get into the Tarot Club Society without having to make Klein wary of her. But her time was short, because of that she had actually thought of some plans if she couldn't get in at the first meeting of the tarot club. But..

Looking at the gem on her finger Keina chuckled with some amusement in her brown eyes, "I guess I don't need to thinking all that?" Keina looked at her gem occasionally glancing at the pocket watch in the other hand.

Finally When the clock hands pointed towards 9, the dark crimson red light covered her eyes, she smirk when seeing this, she let herself be pulled.

Maybe this is fate? Heh Zhou our foolish fool, I will record everything I see now~ she think with some happiness and anticipation.

Shortly after the red light disappeared, Keina opened her eyes, intending to look around, but then the feeling of being pressed made her powerless to raise her head, she looked down, a thought flashed through her mind.

That's right, I am the beyonder of the path of fate... I can’t look directly at god, even if this place is just a castle of Celestial worthy, I still can’t look at the gray fog… Keina kept her head to look down at her legs. she was eager to shout 'unfair!!' at anyone who could raise their head here unlike her.

Keina let out a bitter laugh, without the permission of the master of this place, she can’t create a glasses for her eyes. Then as if someone mocked her futile complaint, someone speak in this castle.

"Sir, where is this?"

Chapter Text

"Sir, where is this?"

If someone gonna ask her what is her feeling right now being suppressed for everything. She will surely throw you her shoes. It's annoying, she can't see nor she can lift her head.

Then as if this is not the worst outcome, the three people continue to chat, ignoring her existing who suffers alone.

Keina herself not paying any attention to the present, her mind is busy cursing the celestial worthy or her dear brother who is in charge in this place. At the same time she can't blame her dear brother, after this is new for him. She's to be busy with her mind to notice the fog shift and finally the feeling of being suppressed is disappear.

Feeling she can lift her head and not being suppressed again, she finally seeing around, take a great look to this sefirot. Unlike her sefirot, this sefirot is really remind her to the cult in her modern era. With a lot of fog and the building itself made by stone.

Then the fog shifts again, make her and two more people in this gray fog startled. She look at the now bronze table who come from nowhere in awe. Then her mind began to swirl again.

I guess I can do this too, right? Keina examined the bronze table with great interest. She then being pulled to sit on the chair, her seat is 5 seat away from the blond lady, keina herself feeling lost and confused, why am I sit far away from everyone? Is not because the characteristic from the fate pathway right? No way I will be lonely in real life and this gray fog?

She look at the blond lady who now beaming, then she shifts her gaze to the man diagonal from her seat, the man who wears a classic pirate outfit and blue hair. she thoughtfully leaned back to the stoned seat and lowered her gaze.

Miss justice, and Mr. hanged man so now I'm one of the pounder? Great. She pondered to herself, and just in time to hear another conversation. Now miss innocent justice asking for potion. And the man with blue hair look hesitated, he shifted his gaze to the now beaming miss justice then to keina who now busy admiring her shoes, then look at the fool who look bored. Keina knew she need to make her presence known by three people and if she does not let out any word, the three people in here will take her for a bad partner.

She then shifted her gaze to miss justice and said with a flat tone. "If you want to be beyonder without being forced to work then find some potion, I have two potion formula in my hand, the seer and the monster pathway. If you interested."

Miss blond look at her in surprise, then she smiled with more confidence, a while ago she felt kinda uncomfortable seeing the other girl not say anything at all not even lift her head. Fortunetly she now speaking making me a little relief, but why is her seat so far away? She then looked at the mighty person with hesitation then lowered her gaze.

Audrey! Don't look to obvious, maybe it because the other lady want to seat in that seat? It not good to pry to someone privacy, and there unknown person who can drag you here! Audrey cleared her voice and asked with a smile.

"may I know the power each potion posses? I need to consider it to my environment"

While miss Audrey look happy, the other people like Alger look at their conversation with some wary gaze, he look at Audrey then make a judge with her attire,

She looks like a noble lady from loen. then look at keina whose compelity lowered her head,

But this one... Is she from life school of thought? Or from aurora order?... then take a note to on guard to this lady, then he look at the mysterius being in this place. He lowered his gaze, and alger think it's better not to act too much.

Keina doesn't understand why Alger is so careful with her, she looks at the bronze table in front of her, then starts to summarize the power of the potion seer and monster.

"Seer, the synonym for this potion is fortune teller, like it's name, the power bought by this potion is related to divination, like dream divination, pendulum divination, card divination and ritualistic magic. This potion too give the beyonder high spiritual, spirit vision.

"As for monster, the power bought by this potion is not like you gonna transform to monster, not like that, but the power itself is circling to spiritual, this potion is the highest rank for spiritual power, you can do divination without much spiritual, ritualistic magic, high premotion through danger and high chance to know what future gonna be like. That why this potion be named as monster."

Justice gasp when she heard the monster power, then she looked at Keina with a beaming smile.

"Ah? The monster power really make me surprise, I didn't expect the power is not as terrifying as the name itself." Keina laughed and nodded.

"That's right, even though the name of the power look exaggerated, the power itself is not terrifying."

Well if you get rid of the fact that almost the beyonder of the monster path is known to be crazy and a coward to the Society... Keina began to remember how original Keina endure all of the shame and hurt she have alone. Making her more love this original keina.

Keina I will try my best to fulfill your wish toward this family. Keina clenched her hand and began to focus again to the conversation.

"um Miss, thank you for your explanation, but I didn't have the ability of those two potions..." Justice spoke in a guilty tone, which was answered with a small laugh from Keina, Keina also replied casually.

"Actually, miss, I think you're suitable for Potion Spectator, unfortunately I don't have the formula, maybe the gentleman opposite us have." Keina tilted her head to alger, even though she still lowered her gaze to the bronze.

Alger who intends to listen till the end of the meeting, freeze. Then he cleared his throat and nodded.

"What a coincidence, I have the spectator formula. If you interest I can sell it to you miss."

"Oh? May I know what the power bought by this potion?"

And that how alger successfully sold the potion formula, while in the top bronze table, klein or perhaps zhou mingrui, began to speculate. But unfortunately keina can't see nor hear the thought of her dear brother. She will buy all she had to just know the thought of all the member.

Now that she lives in this world and not some readers who read their journey, she couldn't help but be depressed because she can't find the joy when she can read their mind. Now she wants to be spectator or thief so much. But fate itself already marked her when she still lives as Reina.

Keina mind works tirelessly to mock the fate and herself. Until justice voice make her mind back to track.

"Sir, what should we call you?" Keina make sure to close her eyes before trying to lift her head.

Too hard!! I can't! Fuck you cw!. Keina can feel the malice when she tries to peek to the gray fog. She began to cursed the celestial worthy will in this place.

I'll make sure to nail your coffin you old fox, to unconsciously puff her cheek, not like the feeling of being pressed by the existing that already dead. But before klein have the authority to control this place... she need to endure it as hard as possible, maybe when klein already embark in the path of seer, then she can freely lift her head. Her neck is hurt as hell bruh.

Uh maybe she can do it to her sefirah, when the beyonder from the fate try to peek to the possibility in the future maybe she can make the river not work... that's going to be fun. Well fate itself Is a chaos, no one can blame me hahahaha, but before that I need to make sure not to joke with those two snakes, I'm still a weakling, I don't want any of that two snake try to snatch my sefirah. Even that posissibility is below zero. Because my conscious already there, being planted by that golden statue when I'm still Reina.

Keina's mind began to run wild ignoring all the chat in this place. Until dear brother spoke up with his pure act tone.

"you can call me... the fool." An indifferent sound echoes to this place, making justice and hanged man heart began to stir. While cheering little, she was so proud of her brother. But sad at the same time, her brother is being pushed to the edge of his sanity by the god, being the piece in divine war. In the end his humanity being overshadowed by divinity and he will eventually lose to CW, but that gonna be after all his love one perish from this world.

I can't even do something for him, because I'm too need the human for my humanity, because my goal is GOO, so I need to make sure my humanity is balance with divinity. But maybe I can share faith.. uh is that even possible? It's gonna be good if theres a plot twist for me in the end of my journey. Keina look at her leg with helpless smile,

we are beyonder, a pathetic guardian, when humanity itself holds a little value to ourselves.

Keina herself don't understand where that thought come from, it sounds like she already witnessed to many lost and to many betrayal. Until her humanity is not a value thing for her. As long as she make herself knew that she should protect human, then it's kay to let divinity overshadowed her humanity to the zero. Keina blinked, she suddenly wanted to shudder from her own thought.

It's bad, why am I thinking like that? This is absurd. Keina frowned, she bit her own lips, feeling a little lost. Maybe my transmigration is not that simple.

"—How bout do we call ourselves from the tarot card too?" Keina Mind who already down began to lighten, she took a deep breath and let out, no matter how the future is, she only need to make sure her family is safe. She not like her brother klein who want to protect all the human, she just want to make sure her family is safe, if her family is in danger she will make sure to flee with her family, leaving behind all the world.

"Then call me justice!" Justice said with a cheeful tone, lighten keina mood, she then look at her finger,

"Please call me wheel of fortune or destiny"

Alger hesitated for a moment before take a breath and speak, "hanged man"

Oh? Gonna be nonchalant aren't we? Keina let out a sarcasm in her mind as she heard the word alger.

Then the conversation goes like in the book, keina herself does not pay to much attention until, Her dear brother choose to end the meeting.

"As your wish" all of us say before the crimson light fills her eyes, and she is already in her own office as before.

Whoosh!

Howling wind accompanied the downpour. The three-mast sailboat was tossed around by the crests and troughs of the incoming waves, as if it was being toyed by a giant.

The crimson glow in Alger Wilson's eyes faded. He found himself still remaining on the deck and nothing appeared to have changed.

Almost immediately, the quirky-shaped glass bottle in his palm shattered and the frost within melted into the rain. In seconds, there were no longer any traces left that suggested the existence of the wondrous antique.

A hexagonal crystal-like snowflake emerged on Algiers's palm. It then faded rapidly until it was seemingly absorbed by the flesh, vanishing completely in the process. Alger nodded his head in a hardly noticeable manner, as if he was thinking about something. He remained still and silent for a full five minutes.

He turned around and headed for the cabin. As he was about to enter, a man who wore a similar robe embroidered with lightning patterns emerged from inside.

This man, who had soft blond hair, paused and looked at Alger. He held his right fist to his chest and said, "May the Storm be with you."

Alger replied with the same words and gesture. There were no emotions on his rough face which had a well-defined structure.

Alger entered the cabin after the greeting and proceeded to the captain's cabin situated at the far end of the corridor.

Surprisingly, he did not encounter any sailors on the way. The whole place was as quiet as a graveyard.

Behind the door to the captain's cabin, a soft brown carpet overlaid the floor. A bookshelf and a wine rack took the opposite side walls of the room. The books with their yellowish covers and wine bottles with their dark red color looked peculiar under the flickering candlelight.

On the desk with the candle, there was a bottle of ink, a quill, a black metallic telescope and a sextant made of brass.

Behind the desk sat a pale middle-aged man wearing a captain's hat which had a skull on it. As Alger approached him, he said menacingly, "I will not give in!"

"I believe you can do it," Alger said calmly, so calm that it felt like he was commenting on the weather.

"You..." The man seemed to be stunned by the unexpected answer.

At this very moment, Alger leaned forward slightly and suddenly dashed across the room until they were only separated by the desk.

Pa!

Alger tightened his shoulder and reached out his right hand to choke the man.

Illusory fish scales appeared on the back of his hand as he crazily mustered more strength to choke the man, giving him no time to respond.

Crack!

Amid the crisp cracking sound, the man's eyes widened as his body was lifted up.

His legs twitched furiously before they soon became motionless. His pupils began to widen as he stared aimlessly. There was a stench from between his legs as his pants gradually turned moist.

While lifting the man, Alger lowered his back and strode toward the wall.

Bang! He used the man as a shield and smashed forward at the wall. His extremely muscular arm was monstrous.

A hole cracked open in the wooden wall, and rain poured in, accompanied by the scent of the ocean.

Alger flung the man out of the cabin, straight into the giant waves that resembled mountains.

The wind continued to howl in the dark as almighty nature devoured everything.

Alger took out a white handkerchief and wiped his right hand carefully before throwing it into the sea as well.

He stepped back and waited patiently for company.

In less than ten seconds, the blond man from before rushed in and asked, "What happened?"

"The 'captain' has escaped," Alger answered in an annoyed manner as he panted. "I didn't know he still had some of his Beyonder powers."

"Damn it!" the blond man cursed softly.

He went up to the opening and stared into the distance. However, nothing was visible except for the waves and the rain.

"Forget it, he was just extra loot," the blond man said, waving his arm, "We will still be rewarded for finding this ghost ship from the Tudor Era."

Even if he was a Keeper of the Sea, he would not have hastily dived into the sea under this weather condition.

"The 'captain' will not be able to survive much longer if the storm continues." Alger said, as he nodded in approval. The wooden wall was repairing itself at a discernible rate.

He gazed at the wall and turned his head subconsciously towards the rudder and the sail.

He was perfectly aware of what was going on behind all the wooden planks.

The chief mate, the second mate, the crew, and the sailors were not present. There was no living person on board!

Amidst all the emptiness, the rudder and the sail moved eerily by themselves.

Alger again pictured "The Fool" who was covered in grayish-white fog and sighed.

He turned back and looked outside at the mighty waves and spoke as though in a reverie while filled with anticipation and awe, "A new era has begun..."

In the Loen Kingdom's capital, Backlund. Inside a luxurious looking villa at the royal district.

Audrey Hall pinched her cheeks in disbelief of her encounter a while ago.

On the dressing table in front of her, the old bronze mirror had shattered into pieces.

Audrey cast her gaze downwards and saw the swirling "crimson" on the back of her hand; it was like a tattoo depicting a star.

The "crimson" gradually faded and disappeared into her skin.

Only at this point in time was Audrey certain that it was not a dream.

Her eyes twinkled as she grinned. She could not help but stand up before bending down to lift up the hem of her dress.

She curtseyed towards thin air and started dancing lively. It was the "Ancient Elf Dance," the most popular dance among royalty at the moment.

….

In the Moretti apartment.

"It was like a dream... What the heck was that foggy world... Who or what sort of power created the changes that just happened..." Zhou Mingrui sighed softly. He was completely puzzled as he walked towards the study desk as though his legs were filled with lead.

He picked up the pocket watch he placed outside to determine how much time had passed.

"Time flowed at the same pace." Zhou Mingrui made a rough judgment.

After putting down his pocket watch, he found himself unable to endure the splitting headache any further. He sat on the chair and lowered his head, using his left thumb and middle finger to massage his temples.

After a long while, he suddenly let out a sigh and said in Mandarin, "From the looks of it, I won't be able to return any time soon..."

Only the clueless could be fearless. After witnessing such a fascinating event and learning the situation regarding Beyonders and the mysterious world, Zhou Mingrui no longer dared to rashly try the luck enhancement ritual using ancient Feysac or Loen language.

Who knew what other kinds of situations would happen. Perhaps, it would be more bizarre, horrifying, or even a living hell!

"At the very least, I should attempt only when I have a deep mastery of mysticism," thought Zhou Mingrui helplessly.

Thankfully, the so-called gathering could provide him with help.

After another bout of silence, he muttered to himself with a tone of dismay, disappointment, agony, and grief, "From this moment forth, I'm Klein."

Klein tried his best to refocus his solutions and plans so as to purge the negative emotions in him.

Perhaps, he could learn the potion formula for 'Spectator' from the side... and theres the power from other potion too.

The 'gathering' that just happened sure is fascinating. People who reside in different places across the world can reduce hundreds of kilometers to just mere inches and discuss face-to-face while supplying each other's needs. Uh, speaking of which, this does sound a little familiar...

Klein was stunned for a few seconds before he burst out in laughter. Pressing against his temple, he jested under his breath, "Wasn't that a social networking platform?"

Back to this office.

She looks at her palm, there's a crimson fog like miss justice then disappear.

Keina stood up and stretch, she took a paper from the desk and began to sketch, well she tired sit again, so she sketching while still standing.

She need to make sure her business is run smoothly.

She sketch a new dress and take inspiration from her daily life when she still Reina. This dress she draw still have a corset and all but she make sure the dress not to hurt for woman body and make it much more stylish, she take the inspiration from rose, tulips, gear and a touch from this world.

After what it felt like 1 thousand second, she finish her sketch, there is five paper and 4 skecth for each paper, two paper sketch for the man fashion, two paper for the lady, and one paper for the children.

Keina look at her sketching and then take a look at her pocket watch, the time already to 1 P.M, Keina tidied up her paperwork, then went out of her room. Approaching the two sisters who are now bored.

Her lips twicth looking at this scene, while she herself can't do much. She cleared her thoart, making the sibling jump from surprise.

"Rey, take this and go to Ambi's House, she opened a Sewing Service Shop. It is located in the south, give this paper to her, and say this is from Keina Moretti. Ask her if she is interested in designing this cloths." Keina gave 5 sheets of sketch paper that she made and 10 sules for Rey, then she glanced at Ren who was now staring curiously at the picture in Rey's hand.

Keina smiled, then asked Ren in the same tone. "For you Ren, can you draw?"

"A.. little..." Ren replies with a blush on her cheek, caught off trying to peak to the beautiful design in the paper.

Keina nodded, and then reached out to ruffle the short hair of Ren. "good, in the future, you will pay your meal with helping me draw the design, alright?" Ren stunnded and then nodded. A smile reach to her little face. Her green eyes flicker a new light.

Rey watching this scene with a fond eyes, then she wakes to her sense "alright then miss, I will send it now." Keina nodded to Rey, after that Rey go out with 5 papers in her hands.

While Keina back again to the office, take her hat and go out to bough a book for Ren study.

In the Moretti apartment.

Zhou who now already wakes up from his rest, facing a policeman and introgation... Poor Zhou.

Chapter 8: keina and her beautiful lies

Summary:

Amanisis conceal the summary

Chapter Text

It was afternoon, where the sun dazzled orange light across the sky, in a few moments the sun would say goodbye to the world and the moon would take its place.

Keina walked out of the office, she let her hair down, after all she didn't have long hair that was easily tangled like Melissa, Keina glanced at Rey and Ren, then took the keys in her pocket. She said to the two blonde sisters in front of her.

"Rey from now until an undetermined time, keep this key, don't forget to lock it at night if you want to sleep, okay? I don't want to see anything missing in the morning" Keina spoke in a calm tone, her eyes looking at the two sisters she picked up.

Her hand grabbed and stroked the top of Ren head, a small smile flashed across Keina face, "I'm putting a book for you to study, if there's anything you want to ask me, ask me tomorrow okay? I'll set your schedule so that you can study and work with a balanced schedule. While you, Rey..."

Keina looked at Rey who was now listening attentively, Keina chuckled, "For you, I've also prepared some books and other things, after one week from now, you and Ren will be studying at the school provided by the evernight church, and no, don't refuse, this is for you and your future. I sent the file an hour ago. So before you are summoned later, learn letters and writing from now on, okay?"

Keina explained calmly, for her there was nothing wrong with helping the two sisters in front of her, apart from Keina herself being a beauty lover, she also intended to make these two girls her model photo.

Thinking about what she would do in the future made Keina laugh lowly, enjoying the curious looks from Rey and Ren. she shook her head and walked out while waving her hand. "Alright you two, have a good rest, see you tomorrow"

Rey and Ren exchanged glances and nodded, a second later they realized that Keina didn't see them, they also said, "alright miss Keina, please stay safe on your journey to your home!"

"I will!"

Pigeons flew in the orange and purple sky, she calling for a horse-drawn carriage to return to the iron street.

Keina brown eyes stared at the scenery and atmosphere of the city which gradually became quiet. Keina suddenly had the desire to take pictures of the scene in front of her, but unfortunately the price of a camera in this world was enough to pay for Rey and Ren for 3 years, Keina chuckled.

Maybe after I have savings worth 2 thousand gold pounds I will think about buying a camera, where I can't play on my phone, how can I possibly live?.

Well let's be honest, how could zhou mingrui live without a cell phone? Keina herself feels like a fish swimming in the open air, or in short it is difficult to breathe, she always finds a situation where she herself is daydreaming, it is boring, if it was in her world maybe she would have been lying down and scrolling social media,

Remembering how Zhou spent his time reading newspapers made Keina head dizzy seven times.

Like now, Keina daydreamed again,

"Miss, we've arrived"

Fortunately the sound from the coachman woke her up, Keina got off the horse-drawn carriage then paid the coachman, she looked around, Keina realized that Melissa hadn't come home yet, couldn't help but sigh a sigh of relief.

she walked towards the apartment, and opened the door, walking to the second floor where the Moretti family room was. A moment later she was finally at the door, her hand grabbing the kenopi, ready to open the door and face the zhou who was now her younger brother.

Suddenly a fragrant food stroked her nose gently, Keina subconsciously smiled happily, the reason was very simple, she was just grateful that the plot was not much different from what she remembered at the beginning of the novel.

Keina took a small breath and put on a happy face, this time she intended to give the truth that she had been hired (as a boss) at a clothing store.

Kriikkk

"good Afternoon klein, OH? What is it, You cook? I never knew you can cook. I thought you only knew how to eat book and play with friend." Keina walked inward with a mischievous smile on her lips, she put her coat on the chair, and walked over to Klein, her eyes shrunk into crescents. It's a pity that those in keina mischief don't feel that way.

“… Ah Keina, you're home, you have been where?" Klein sculpted for a second before replying casually, Keina could clearly see the cold sweat on Klein's forehead, she shook her head helplessly, then patted Klein shoulder then displayed a crocodile smile, she spoke while patting her chest proudly,

"Look who has been able to get a job with a salary of 3 pounds a week? Klein, from now on, we don't have to walk to the place we want to meet!"

"Who got a job for 3 pounds?" a voice interrupted before Klein could reply, the two twin sibling turned towards the door, which was none other than Melissa who had just come home. Melissa looked at the two in confusion and disbelief.

Klein glanced at Keina and said, "Keina said she got a job with a salary of 3 pounds a week."

Hearing Klein's words, Melissa gasped and looked at her sister with a doubtful gaze.

Keina scratched her unitched head and spoke timidly. "Yes Melissa, I got a job with a salary of 3 pounds, I swear by the evernight goddess I'm not lying" Keina raised her hand and formed a moon on her chest.

Melissa and Klein followed the Keina Movement, Melissa massaged her forehead then glanced at Keina and asked once more, "What job earned you a 3 pound salary? Keina you can't..." Melissa didn't continue her words, she looked at Keina from top to bottom.

The corners of Keina's mouth twitched, Keina walked over and pinched Melissa's cheek adorably, "Stupid sister, I don't sell myself, you know that I've always had a hobby of drawing clothes designs right? When I was outside I was drawing as usual, then a clothing store owner accidentally saw the design I drawn, he was interested and asked many things, until finally I was offered a job in his shop as a designer, maybe this is a gift given by the evernight goddess for us, praise the goddess"

No way melissa will believe those ridiculous word, right? Klein look at his sister melissa who in deep thought.

Listening to Keina explanation, Melissa finally cleared her worries, and smiled happily, "then, congratulations!"

No way!! That work? Klein silently complain at how melissa can trust that explanation.

Keina rubbed her nose embarrassedly, then out of the corner of her eyes she saw klein thinking, Keina smiled obliviously, she went back to klein side and wrapped her arms around klein neck,

"Melissa, didn't you smell it? There is a smell of delicious food, and it seems like our dear klein is making something for us~" klein came to his senses and glanced at Keina who was smiling obliviously,

Klein shook his head, "I'm indeed cooking food, but it's not that luxurious..."

Melissa stole a glance at the kitchen, to be honest she had smelled a good smell after she opened the door, but because of Keina words, she forgot to ask.

Meanwhile, Keina shook her head and looked at Klein with a disappointed look, much to make Klein awkwardly look the other way.

Keina grabbed Klein head and rubbed his hair. And speaking brightly, "you're the same too, for me no matter how luxurious the food is without you it will be the most unsavory food that will ever enter my mouth, so klein, melissa, your presence is what makes the food luxurious! It's a pity Benson hasn't been able to go home yet."

Klein and Melissa were stunned to hear those words when Keina turned around and headed for the pot. A smile bloomed on their faces, then nodded happily.

Ha.. I thought being a klein Moretti would be difficult, it turned out to be this easy? Zhou Mingrui thought with a smile on his face, he joined Melissa and Keina to help the two of them prepare the food at the table and eat together.

From the beginning Keina had been waiting for this, what she said was sincerity in her heart. Because it is the most enthusiastic to eat food cooked by klein.

"Klein~ where did you learn to cook? You really hid your talent from all of us~" Keina said as soon as a mouthful of bread entered her mouth, Melissa elbowed Keina, saying that talking while eating was rude.

There is it... Klein thought quickly and opened his mouth to speak, what a pity what he was going to say in Melissa cut first.

"Melissa, we are in our own family territory, not outside, so let go of that boring etiquette~" Keina said in a lazy tone, she leaned back on the chair.

True, in this world, etiquette is everything... Keina and Klein thought together, a helpless sigh sounded.

Klein laughed and nodded, "That's right Melissa, we're not in a restaurant to care about etiquette, and to answer your question keina, I learned from chef welch when I was at the welch house." A blush colored Klein cheeks, he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Welch... Keina said in a small tone, she looked at Klein hesitantly then shook her head. A small smile appeared on his face.

Ah? Keina must have heard about the Welch news, and naya.... Klein looked at Keina worriedly, prepared to give a thousand reasons.

"Hm, nothing, I suddenly forgot what I wanted to say!" the corner of Klein's mouth twitched, he lowered his gaze before looking back at Keina, and said without making a sound. Which is caught by the keina eye.

"I'll explain it later" was what Klein said, Keina smiled then nodded slightly.

Melissa looked at Keina and Klein curiously, but that was for a moment before she quickly ate the dish in front of her.

So delicious! I never taste this good food for a long time... ah unfortunately benson not here, hm wait I can save it for him to eat later! Melissa nodded to herself, a warm smile not escaping her face.

Looking at melissa, Keina pushed her bowl towards her. And cupping her own face. For a moment there was only the sound of plates, spoons that adorned the tranquility of this room.

Her eyelids dropped as she stared at the scene in front of her affectionately.

Is this what it's like to have a family that truly loves you? Questions crossed her head, Keina's eyes watered, she turned her head to make Klein and Melissa unaware of her emotions.

It tastes really amazing.

"Your interview... Burp..." Melissa did not finish her words because she suddenly let out a sound of contentment involuntarily.

She put her hand over her mouth in a hurry and looked embarrassed.

The fault is with the stewed mutton with tender peas just now! It was just too delicious.

Keina held back her smile with her hand, then turned her head so that Melissa wouldn't see, too bad her shoulders were shaking, making Melissa purse her lips in annoyance.

Meanwhile, klein laughed secretly and decided not to make fun of his sister. He pointed to the plate and said, "This is your mission."

Keina pointed to herself then tilted her head. Klein nodded "yes, you do too"

She shook her head and stood up in disappointment, "Ah, my younger brother can already rule his sister, back then you were only as small as a pillow and couldn't even speak"

Klein opened his mouth and closed it Again, a sentence flashed through his brain. Aren't you the same too? Aren't we only 5 minutes apart?

Keina chuckled and grabbed the bowl and plate, Melissa didn't want to miss her so she stood up and said excitedly, "I'll help!"

Keina nodded, they cleaned the bowls and dishes by joking occasionally.

"Klein you have to prepare yourself for the interview later, oh yes do you need new formal clothes? I can buy it for you."

Can’t you rub it on my face keina? Klein sighed helplessly, He felt a throbbing pain in his head.

"No, no need, what Benson gave was enough."

The amount of content Klein had forgotten wasn't considered a lot, but neither was it negligible. The interview was in two days, so how could he find the time to make up for it...?

Furthermore, he was involved in such strange paranormal activity, so how would it be possible that he would be in the mood to revise?

Klein gave his sister a perfunctory response and began putting on the appearance of studying. Melissa moved a chair over to sit beside him. With light shining from the gas lamp, she began working on her assignments.

While keina goes to her room, to go sleep first.

The atmosphere was serene. When it was almost eleven o'clock, the siblings bade each other goodnight and went to bed.

In keina room, she scribing in her notebook, a lot of sentence has been crossing out. She put the quill down and began to ponder while seeing the moon.

"To bad, the moon in this world a little bit eerie..." A while ago, after she entered her room, she was describing her acting methods. Actually, it takes one more acting, but this one time it has to be done with another beyonder state.

And don't forget about the formula robot, Keina hasn't even found it yet. This is what makes her get a headache.

Keina grabbed her notebook and tore up the paper before throwing it into the corner of the room. she could have done something in the key of light, but she didn't want to rely too much on the sefirot, as long as she could stand and search and not at the critical stage, why would she use the power of the sefirot? she can’t invite the mercury snakes to knock on her window, and invite them to eat ice cream or draw.

Keina lowered her gaze, picking up a jade from the key of light that she had previously picked up after the meeting at the sefirot klein was over.

Her hand rubbed the infinity-shaped jade in her hand, "why the infinity fate symbol?" Keina spoke in a low voice.

"According to the book, Mercury Snake can turn back time to a few minutes in advance, so doesn't Fate have authority in the time field? Although not as good as Error, infinity...”s Keina put a small jade on the table, then stood up to look for a rope or anything that could hook the jade.

After a long search, she found a rope that was not big, not small like a thread. she hooked the jade and hung it around her neck.

Keina grabbed the jade that was now a pendant and spoke softly, "I don't know what use you are now, but I guess I'll find out in the future". Keina stretched her body and went to bed to rest.

At the same time after Keina fell asleep, in klein room.

Knock!

Knock! Knock!

Poundings on the door roused Klein from his dreams.

He peered out of the window to see the first glimmer of dawn. In a daze, he flipped over and sat up.

"Who is it?"

Look at the time now! Why didn't Melissa or Keina wake me up?

"It's me. Dunn Smith," a man with a deep voice outside the door replied.
