Beep

Beep

Beep

The man rose from his bed and looked to his side at a black-haired woman. He smiles at her brown eyes fluttering open. He gets up and kisses her warm head as he then turns off the alarm.

“Good morning Jaybird.” She greets him with messy hair and he looks at her closed eyes with an amused smile.

“Still sleepy?”

 

“Hmmhm, and let me sleep.” She grumbles, putting her heavy head back into her pillow with a little groan at her lack of ability to open her eyes.

Tapping

 

“Zane made breakfast, get up so we can eat!” Cole called out from behind the door, making Nya finally sit up.

“Oh thank the first master, it's Zane's turn again.” She dragged herself up and immediately slumped her head, closing her eyes as her stomach churned.

“Nya, you ok? Still feeling sick from Cole's dinner?” Jay asked, slipping a shirt on.

“Ye-yeah, I'm good. We really need to tell Wu to stop letting Cole cook.” She staggered up and Jay quietly put his hand on her arm to help.

She pulled off. “I'm fine, just food poisoning from Cole again.”

“Kai was puking last night too, heh, guess it's a family condition against Cole's cooking.” Jay smirks, handing her some fresh clothes.

“Thanks, and yeah, guess me and Kai aren't able to process it, though Kai is usually worse than me.” She comments and sluggishly dresses herself and once again slumps onto the bed.

Jay looks down at her. “You can go back to bed, if you need it. You were up a while-”

 

“I know, Jay. But I'm ok, not my first all nighter. Just give me a second, I'll come and join.” She smiled up at him, but all he noticed was her worn out face.

He drops down beside her. “I can wait with you then.” He eyes her and feels her lean her head right onto him.

“Simp.”

“Hehe, only for you my beautiful, no wait, enchanting wife, but how are you feeling?”

Nya curled up on her knees, bringing them to her torso. “Tired… .Really tired, like I haven't slept in a week.” She peered at his upturn brows.

“I really shouldn't have taken you to that restaurant.”

“What?” Nya questions him with a light smile.

“That one restaurant I took you to a few weeks ago. First you throw up after we left, now you're tired. What if they poisoned you? We are celebrities, what if it's an assination attempt? Take out the ninjas just like-”

“Jay” Nya interrupts. “Food poisoning doesn't work like that and if it was poison I think I would be dead by now… .Honestly I'm amazed I still feel bad from last night.” She murmured and lifted her lip as a small burning sensation came up from her throat. Then suddenly placed her hand over her mouth as her body contracted.

“Nya.” Jay turns sharply as his wife hurriedly leaves, straight into their bathroom.

“Nya!” Jay heads in and sees her standing there.

“Did you throw up-”

 

“No, I'm ok-everything is ok. I'm gonna go see Pixel, I'm not getting the flu this year.” She huffs, walking out of the bathroom, again followed by Jay.

Nya opens the door and heads down the hallway. “Yeah one of us, then all of us and I hate Kai when he's sick, I can't believe he sneezed fire at me while training that one time. Got me sick too, how does fire make you sick? I think that wouldn't work and just burn me alive, but no. I started to sneeze and then shoot out bolts, was that an elemental cold? Well better not have as I hate when weird stuff keeps happening and for-”

Nya lets him rant on as she heads into the kitchen area, and feels nose flare at the grease smells.

“Hey you two, did you both sleep in?” Cole chuffs with a smirk, and Nya, she just slumps her head on Jay's shoulders.

“I'm going downstairs.”

Jay then breathes out and turns with his wife.

 

Kai gets up at her quiet voice. “Nya, you good, did Jay get you sick again?” He rushes over to her turning body, feeling her head and looks down at her rotating scowling face.

“I'm going to go see Pixel, Kai.”

“I don't get people sick, probably Cole's cooking.” Jay joked.

Kai lifts his hand. “Alright”

“If you are sick please inform the rest of us, I don't want it.” Lloyd looks over from a book.

“Yeah and we don't want to deal with that either.” Cole retorted, leaning back in his chair to stare at the three, now four as Zane came up.

“I hate to inform you, but Pixel is not here, she is with sensei checking on reports from Nom.”

 

“Did they leave me here?” Cole eyed the nindroid.

“He said he wanted to give us a break, since our last adventure altered our bodies, I believe we need it, or you all need it.” Zane informed and turns back to Nya.

“Do you want me to scan you to see the source of the illness?”

She looks at Jay, who was staying mostly quiet during this, his eyes just on Nya the whole time. “Yeah sure, but can we do this downstairs? The smell in here is making me wanna puke.”

Kai eyes his sister. “That's a weird sickness.”

Nya then starts heading to the elevator, Jay following her. “I never felt sick due to smell, well except those times Cole cooked, seriously can we all agree to not let him?”

Zane pressed the buttons as he eyed Nya leaning against the railing with shut eyes.

“For once I agree with you, Jay. Zane, can you stop Cole next time.” Kai smiles at the nindroid.

“Sensei said we are to share our chores, trading each day so none of us get unfair, of course in the case of sickness or injury someone picks up that ill one's responsibilities.” Zane explains as both his brothers groan.

 

“I'll take up Nya's chores.” Kai insisted as his sister lifted her heavy head.

 

“I can do my own.”

 

“Yeah right, I think at this point we don't need a scan, you're clearly sick.” Kai retorts and Jay leans down to join his wife on the railing.

“I think Kai might be right. Want to go lay down?” He whispers and Nya just huffs, heading out as soon as the door opens.

Zane then follows his sick sister, and gets her to sit down in the chair in front of their massive computer. And finally gets to scanning.

Shining his eyes bright at her and lowering them as he looks. Taking temperature, weight, and even scans partly into blood. His eyes shut off.

“You seem to be perfectly fine, although may I suggest that you take a pregnancy test? Your readings show large quantities of the human chorionic gonadotrophin gene.”

 

Jay's eyes go wide.

Nya's heavy head perks up. “Zane, are you saying that I'm pregnant?”

 

“WHAT!?” Kai turns immediately towards the blue ninja, disappointment locked in. Jay puts his hands up, and looks at his wife, his eyes bewildered.

“We used protection, how can she be pregnant?” He says out loud and Kai furrows his brows.

“Condoms can break, Jay.”

“I know that, but we haven't had, well you know in a few weeks.”

“Fatigue is a symptom of around 5 to 7 weeks, though, I did not say you are Nya, although large amounts of the human chorionic gonadotrophin can be linked to certain cancers or multiples in pregnancy. I could scan you again to look for cancers or a possible pregnancy, but unfortunately as a non-healthcare provider I can only do so much.” Zane explains and Nya sits there.

Her eyes narrow downwards, not with any readable expression. Jay steps away from Kai and to his wife. “Nya.” He places his hand on her cheek as he takes her clutching hand.

“It's gonna be ok, well I can't promise it'll be smooth, but it'll be fine in the end, you will be a great mom if it's true, though I'll probably be worse than Kai as a father, I'll stay by you, no matter if it's a baby or not.” He whispers and Nya just feels him rubbing her hand.

Nya then gets up, Jay besides her. “So do you suggest that we go to the hospital?” She asks Zane.

“That would be the best method for checking to see if you are pregnant than an over the counter test.” Zane goes towards the computer.

“If you all shall need me, I'm going to contact Sensei and Pixel to inform them to give Nya a break while training.”

Nya takes a deep breath. “Ok.”

Kai comes up to Nya. “Well, I got nothing to do, guess I'll join. After all, I might as well be there to catch Jay if you're actually pregnant.”

 

“Weren't you just upset?” Nya asks, still slumping her head down onto Jay's shoulder.

“Yeah, but you're my sister and well, seeing a smaller Nya around would bring me some nostalgia. “ Kai watches Nya roll her tired eyes.

“What if our baby looks like me?” Jay asked as his wife tightened her hand in his.

Kai shakes his head. “Let's just go before you decide names.”

 

“We don't even know if I'm pregnant.” Nya mutters, once again going to the railing. “At least the hospital can give me something for this tiredness."

Jay joins her. “Sorry, I just got excited about the idea of having a kid with you.” He nudges her with his head slightly and again sees her tired smile return.

“I do want some, but what if this is something else?” She whispers to him. “If something happens I won't be able to help save you guys or go on missions.”

The elevator opens and Jay takes his wife's hand before she follows Kai out. “It doesn't matter if you help us or not, The only thing that matters to me is that you are ok. Or if you're pregnant, you're both ok. I mean, sorry that sounds bad, whatever happens, baby or something worse, I will be there with you through it.” Jay corrects himself and Nya sighs, leaving the elevator with Jay.

“I know, I just wanted to choose when this happened, or if it did, maybe I should have let Zane scan me again, fsm, I hate being this tired.” She hugged her arms and Jay quietly nodded to that.

“Hey you two coming?” Kai comes back and looks at his slumped sister.

Nya stands up straight. “Yeah, let's go, might as well see if I can get something for this fatigue.”

Thud!

 

Kai lowered his head to the pavement and groaned, sitting up. “Never playing with a timeblade again.” His eyes open and peer at familiar pale walls of the Monastery.

He sits up further and gets onto his legs. “I was at the Aurjitzu temple, Jay, did you travel with me, did you send me back in time?” He stomps right inside, sliding the doors open, and then glances down at the hallway. Same one, but the plants they had weren't there, and neither were the noises of the people that lived here.

“Weird, hopefully that thing didn't send me back further than a few years.” He keeps moving, eventually picking up sounds of beeping, shouting, and button smashing.

 

Kai scowls. “Did you seriously send me back and start playing videogames!” He slid the door right open! And… .Saw a teenager stare back at him immediately. One with blue eyes and blonde hair sits up as the other one, a brunette, still facing the tv, wearing some kind of set of headphones, pauses the game.

Kai sets his hands on fire. “Who are you!?”

The blonde's eyes go up and down slowly at Kai.

The other teen meanwhile just finally gets up and Kai furrows his brows at the blonde's features. Freckles, blue eyes… .But blonde, so it can't be-

“You might not wanna use fire here, uncle Kai.”

Kai looks at the boy in front of him. “I am not an uncle, who are you kids and what are you doing in my former home?”

The boy squints and goes backwards to the other teen, tapping his shoulder. “Kasper, text mom, apparently uncle Kai lost his memories.”

The other teen eyed the blonde and started moving his hands. (“He is a younger version.”)

“You sure Kas?” The blonde glances at Kai.

 

Kai ignores the sign language and glares at his supposed nephew. “I did not- Who are you, answer me and tell me where my family is!”

 

The blonde walks up and Kai furrows his brows as the kid rolls his eyes and proceeds to light his hands, presenting to Kai sparks in his hand. Kai looks at him with sunken eyes.

(“Uncle”)

 

“There you go, uncle Kai, so where did you become younger? I think mom would love to know.”

The other teen meanwhile watched the exchange. (“Why are you an airhead, Rai?”)

 

Kai looks at his nephew with wide eyes, processing information he wasn't supposed to yet. So much information, he shudders.

(“Do I kill Jay when I see him or?”) Kai sees his nephew walking back to the other teen.

“Have you texted mom?”

The brunette nodded and motioned his head to the tv. “Kasper, I think we have more issues than who is winning. We need to get him back-”

 

(“Uncle Kai said he liked video games in his youth and was close to dad's record on this one, wanna train against dad, secret weapon style?”) Kasper says, using his hands towards Rai

 

Kai then looks back at the boys, the brunette stood up with a game controller, Kai gawked at the sight of this kid's height being nearly his own. “Show me how to beat our dad.” Kasper shoves the controller into Kai's hands.

 

Kai looks at the determination in the teen's eyes. “I would, but I need to know where I am, because I don't think I can take anymore future today.” Kai gives it back to the teen, who lowered his head in response.

“We can just ask our uncle, Kas.” The blonde pats the brunette's shoulder and Kai again processes that too.

(“So they have two kids, great… .Should I ask about Sky?”)

Kai looks at the blonde taking in his presence. “Alright I can see Jay in you now.” He looks at Kasper, who was facing the tv with an unreadable expression.

“But where is everyone?” Kai asks the blonde.

“Oh um. They are on a mission.”

“And no one is here with you two? I thought I taught Nya better than this.”

The blonde scowled. “We skipped the mission, but we never go on them anyway so why are you worried we're alone?”

“Because you're both kids.” Kai responded.

 

“Rai is the oldest.” Kasper finally monotonely says, now trying to play with both controllers at the same time.

“Rai?” Kai lifts a brow at the similar name. (“Did Nya name him after me? Wait that kid can talk?”)

 

Rai looks away and then glances to the doorway as two other teens hold each other, walk in.

 

Kai turns as both new teens stop. Kai then instantly gawks at the girl, dark brown hair, freckles, and… .The same eyes of his sister, heck the same body, face, nose, so much more.

The dark-skinned boy stops holding the girl and gets over to Kai, grabbing his shirt. “Who are you?” Kai looks with wide eyes at the familiar face of Cole in the kid's face, though for some reason the kid's hair was more blonde-like. (“Huh, who is this kid's mother?”)

“Rai, answer. Who is this?!” Cole's kid kept a hold of Kai's shirt as the man wondered so much, yet tried shoving him off.

“Stay.” The kid practically growled at Kai.

The girl glances at her brothers. “Jr. Put him down, it's just uncle Kai, but younger?”

The dirty blonde boy huffs and finally drops Kai, who staggered back. “So your Cole's kid, I can see the strength, the temper is new.” Kai smirks and the teen leers, now looking to Rai.

 

“One of your dumb activities or his?” Jr. Glances at Kasper.

Kasper goes further down on the sofa.

“Powers, so water and lightning right?” Kai asks. Rai bit his lip but the girl then chuffs.

 

“I'm the master of water, uncle Kai, Rai is the master of lightning, and Kasper. Honestly none of know what the fuck he is, but he's there.”

 

Kasper just turns back on his games and goes back to playing, and even turns up the white noise on his headphones.

 

“Jade, he is the-”

 

“Yeah ok, but it's not like it is a real one. Let's face it, but uncle Kai, why are you so young, normally your wrinkles are so noticeable.” Jade smiles at her uncle, who just kinda scowled at her.

“I am sure I'm not that old in the future, and why are you talking about your brother that way?”

“Because it's Kasper, you'll see later he's a wimpy master. Mom said it so much.” She says and Rai goes to his sister, shoving her.

Kai squints. (“Did she? I doubt my sister would do that.”)

“MOM did not! Now uncle Kai, you said future, so I guess we will send you back.” Rai says.

Kai eyes the siblings and breathes out. “Yes. Jay and I were just working on the time blades and he shot one at me. I thought I was in the past again. Can you send me back?”

 

Kai looks at the kids and kinda smiles. (“I'm definitely beating Jay when I see him.”)

 

Kasper pauses his game and lifts himself from the sofa, and heads to his uncle. He shows him his phone. Kai looks down and at messages from what he assumes must be Nya. “Call.” Kasper gives him the phone and scampers back to the sofa.

Kai looks at him turning away. (“He's been wearing headphones this whole time.”) And he hesitantly taps the symbol that is shaped like a phone.

All kids go quiet. “Did you seriously give him your phone?” Jade leers to Kasper, who doesn't even respond, instead picking up a controller and starts playing.

Rinn-

“Kasper? Why are you calling?”

“Nya.” Kai greets the voice and hears nothing on the other side.

 

“Kai? Why do you have Kasper's phone?”

 

“He gave me it, but Nya you won't believe this if I say it so-” He looks at the phone for a second, ok, a moment and finally finds the button that turns on the camera. He smiles into it, and fixes his hair a bit too.

 

Then after a moment another one joins and Kai's eyes analyze the fully grown women in front of him. Shorter hair, clear crow's feet, and no city background. Honestly, it looked like she was sitting in some kind of chair.

 

“Did you get an office job?” He teased, grinning and the woman sighs.

“No, but I'll be right there.”

 

“Wait, no shock at seeing me this young, younger than you, I might add?” Kai pouts and watches as Nya gets up from the chair.

 

“Kai we went back in time, faced demons, and so much more. Would anything shock me?”

Kai gives her a leer. “Well, can I at least know if I married anyone, or ya know, Sky?” He looks at the phone like a puppy.

 

The kids around watched the two interact and Kasper smiles as the others hurriedly leave.

 

“No, and I see that my kids are there.” Rai and Jade stop leaving as Kai peers behind him on the phone.

“Dammit, Kasper!” Jade glares at the brunette.

 

“They are not supposed to be here?” Kai asks his older sister with a smile.

She rubs her face. “No they shouldn't, Lloyd isn't there right now.”

 

Rai takes the phone from Kai. “Sorry. We came to train, but Kasper suggested video games and Jade ran off to have a kissing session with Jr.”

 

“I did not run off, I'm right here.”

 

Kai looked at Jr hiding behind the sofa. (“Kissing session?”)

 

“You are all in trouble when I get there, Kai keep them there.”

 

Kai smiles. “Sure thing, Nya.” He cracks his knuckles and watches Rai hang up.

“Kasper, you are such an idiot giving him a phone!” Jade stomps away and Kasper just happily looks at his games.

Kai lifts a brow. “He really likes those.”

“Yeah, way too much.” Jr. Rolls his eyes and heads to the door, and Kai follows him to the courtyard. He then locks onto Jade going to the gate and sprints to her

“Woah there, Missy, you can't outrun a ninja.” He informs looking down at her. She peered up at him and then shot him with a jet of water. Sending Kai back and she opens the door with a smile.

“Bye-bye!” And she heads down the stairs.

 

“Not even Nya does that to me.” Kai frowns at his now dampened hair.

 

“She always does.” And Kai leaps as he looks at the brunette now standing next to him. Kasper frowns, but soon returns back to a static expression.

Kai lifts a brow. “How did you sneak up on a trained ninja?” (“Your Jay's kid.”)

Kasper looks away from his uncle and out at Jr now punching some dummies nearby.

 

Kasper lifts his head, and finally lowers his headphones. “My powers are different.”

 

“Huh?” And Kai watches the kid light his hand in a purple hue and turns it to Jr who suddenly looks down as a purple hole opens below him, swallowing him as Kai watches with wide eyes.

 

“You could jump out of moving vehicles with this.” As my dad would say..” Kasper grins, dimming his hand.

“It's very useful for a ninja, " Sensei Lloyd told me.”

 

Kasper then places his headphones back on and eyes the younger uncle. “That is useful for ninjas. Geez where did you get that element, I know my family doesn't have that.” Kai asks.

Kasper smiles. Blinking away again and appearing where Rai was finally coming out of the Monastery. Rai didn't jump and stood in the Monastery courtyard as Kai then saw the gate open and peered at the familiar, sorta now grey, but black hair.

Her brown eyes lay upon her two boys and to her brother, who spun right over in a tornado.

 

“Show off.”

 

“I just found out I have nephews and a niece, gotta make a good first impression.” Kai smiles at his sister.

“You do know they already met you, right? I'm pretty sure we visited you and Sky's house earlier today to plan an attack on some lightning creatures.”

Kai's head turns, practically breaking to the male voice and immediately gawks at the ginger mustache and goatee. “JAY?!”

The man looks at the younger Kai and immediately looks at his wife. “Ooooooh, so this is where he went to in the future.” Jay looks away with a small grin.

“You shot me with the timeblade, motor mouth!”

“I know, I thought you died for three days, but hey Cole kept me safe from Nya.”

 

Nya looked over at her husband. “Well until he ratted you out.”

“But thankfully you showed up just in time… .Though you beat me for a bit.” Jay leers down and Kai smirks at the older ginger.

“So I guess I gotta beat you to save the timeline?”

“You gave me a black eye and several bruises!” Jay turned away with his arms crossed.

“And I see he never grew up.” Kai peers at his nephews.

 

“I could say the same about you in the future, but if you're done, Jay, where are the timeblades?” Nya asks her husband who furrows his brows in confusion.

“I thought they were lost in time?” Kai scowls.

“They came back after the world nearly ended in some merge, and I thought Lloyd knew where they were at?” Jay tilts his head.

 

“I still want to know how to beat him in a video game.” Kasper looks deadly at Kai, who sighs.

“Alright, guess I'll give Jay's method to you, not like I'm leaving anytime soon!” He says, and faces the boys.

Jay turns sharply, “Hey! Don't give my sons my secret methods! I want them to learn on their own how to beat Prime Empire.”

 

“Yeah, and maybe I'll go back and stop you.”

 

Jay looks at his younger brother-in-law. “Nya we gotta send him back and maybe give my past self a lesson!”

Nya looked up from her phone. “I'm asking Lloyd, but he is still training Nova.”

“Nova? Who's kid is that?” Kai looks at her suspiciously.

Nya bit her lip and darted her eyes to her boys, possibly mentally telling them not to say a word.

“We won't say who she is but she's the same age as Nori.” Rai explains as Kai again looks confused.

“She's not one of our sisters.” Kasper responds.

 

“Ok, so all I got today was you have three kids, I'm gonna kill Jay later, and apparently Cole has a kid too.” Kai says and Nya takes a deep breath, reluctanting trying to call the blonde.

“Come on Lloyd, we both know you aren't Master Wu, you can answer a phone.” She mumbles, still trying to get the blonde to answer.

 

Jay lifts a brow. “We have four kids Kai, and Cole two, but wait Jr was here?”

“Yeah, Jade ran off with him again, dad.” Rai groans as Kai gives Jay a slight shit-eating grin.

“I can bring her back.” Kasper blinks out of existence as Kai then sees Jay eye him.

“What?”

 

“So did you see anyone else's kids?” Jay asks and Kai furrows his brows.

 

“No, I'm just processing that my sister has kids, Jay.”

Jay blushes. “Well, now I know why you didn't beat me up when she said she was pregnant.” He chuckles nervously and Kai cringes.

“Don't make me think about her and you like that, ok, when did you both even have kids?”

Jay blinks. “Oh it was after the crystal stuff, everyone teamed up against us and I nearly lost my mind at a lighthouse, but… .That was so long ago. But afterwards I at least got a new reason for living.” Jay goes quiet with an awkward smile as Kai finally notices how tired this Jay looked, bags under his eyes, plus a few new scars along with a freckled face.

The man before him then beamed. “But hey, I'm happy about it, though I could do without the ocean adventure after that damn Djinn.” Jay smiles widely, looking at his lovely wife's concerned face.

Kai's eyes squint, but he just shrugs that off. “So what adventure does the team get into?”

 

“We faced demons, Garmadon, Lloyd's ex, Zane at one point, a dumb snake that wanted revenge, that mess at Shintaro, oh my gosh Lloyd was so against Vania at first.”

 

Kai smiles at the man. “Sounds like fun for the team. What's with the Lloyd thing, also Zane turned on us?”

 

“Lloyd has an ex, but he got Zane for us back, so don't worry about that. But Zane is fine now.” Jay grins, wrinkles showing more.

 

“You left it in the old Samurai x cave?” Nya's soft voice asks the blonde on the phone.

“Yeah, it should be in a lock, labeled don't touch.”

 

“Thsnks lil brother.” Nya sighs and steps up to Kai. “Want to go back now?”

Kai hums, and peers at his nephew leaving the group to a nearby dummy. “Yeah, I think so. But I want to know something.”

“Kai.”

 

“When did you have Rai? I know Kasper said he was your first and Jay mentioned some crystal thing.”

Nya looked at him and headed into the Monastery. “Come on, I just want to know when I'll see them again, Kasper wants to know how to beat Jay.” Kai pleaded.

Nya closes her eyes with a wide grin. “I'll leave that as a surprise.”

Kai scoffs. “Fine, but I am still beating Jay when I see him.”

The two walked down the halls, letting Kai finally see photos as they passed. His eyes expanded at the sight of his sister in a wedding dress. Jay was beside her of course in a blue suit. And then he looks at the rest of his family. So much familiar, yet. Nya's hair like he sees her right now was longer in a ponytail. Cole's hair as well was longer, though what caught his eyes was the fact Cole's chin had hair.

“Looks like I gotta stop him from making a mistake.” He whispers.

“Kai.” Nya looked at him from the elevator and Kai reluctantly got going. Quickly turning his head to peer at photos as he went.

He spots more kids, them being smaller too. Jr, and definitely his nephews along with Jade. But also more kids. Like a dark crimson-haired girl, he eyed that, another black haired girl next to Jr, and one girl that suspiciously looked like a nindroid. (“Did Zane had a kid?”)

Then finally Kai steps aboard the elevator. Nys pushing the buttons. “Zane has a kid?” He looks at his sister.

“Yeah, they built her.” Nya answers as she leans against the railing. Kai looks at her.

“You good, sis?”

 

“Yep, just haven't been down here in a while.” And the elevator opens to dust.

“What's Pixel doing?” Kai swats the dust away and watches his sister walk up to a closed cabinet.

“She's busy with Zane and Cyrus, working for him.”

 

“It's been pretty peaceful besides the kid's adventures that are insane.”

Kai turns around to again see the older Jay, this time coming from the elevator. “Don't you watch your kids?”

“They are teens, and we need to shoot you with the reversal blade. Which I know now I'm good at.” Jay says and listens to Nya chuff.

 

Kai rolls his eyes. “Yeah you are, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna give you three good hits when I get back for knocking my sister up.”

Jay slumps.

“It's not here.” Nya groans and Jay goes into the other cabinets.

“Did Nova take it again?”

Nya gets up, taking out her phone immediately. “I'll go ask again.”

Kai looks at her. “Great to see your stubbornness hasn't worn off, also can I come?”

“You want to see your future don't you?” Nya asked with a knowing grin.

“Yes, I do. And maybe Cole as well so I can tell him to shave.”

“Finally someone said that, I wanna be the only one with a beard, after all I'm the good looking one, not him.”

“I'm the good looks.” Kai smiles and Jay quietly mutters something about getting married first.

“They aren't there?” Lloyd questions on the phone and on his end peers at a small cat near him.

“No, Lloyd.” Nya looked at her current little brother, who perked up at the sound of Lloyd's deeper voice.

His eyes wide. Jay meanwhile was just looking around, going through things to keep the search up. “I found Assphera's staff, but nothing else. Why is this still here?”

“Lloyd you might wanna come here then, because we can't find it.” Nya says into her phone and Kai listens to the groan.

(“Yeah, that's Lloyd.”)

“Ok, let me tell Akita what I'm doing, I'll be there soon, like a day.”

Nya pulls the phone away as Lloyd hangs up. “A day?” Kai frowns and Jay shrugs, now looking at some old robot parts.

“Guess you stay the night, at our house or-”

“Here it would be better. Sensei Lloyd will come here.” Everyone glances at two teen boys looking up from the old ship. Kasper lowers his head as Rai climbs up.

“Sneaking into a conversation, wow nothing has changed.” Kai smiles at the blonde teen, who nods and goes to his parents.

“I'll stay with him.”

Nya and Jay look at each other.

“I can watch myself.” Kai intersects Rai, who just then sighed.

“Teach me your moves, please.” He whispers and Kai's eyes light up.

“Fighting not video games right?”

Rai nods rapidly. “Alright, but let Kasper join you both. I don't want the Monastery to be burnt down.” Nya smiles.

“Yeah, it'll be like the 3rd time or 4th depending on if we count that one time with the pirates. Honestly I'm amazed this bounty has been around this long.” Jay comments, and waves at Kasper, who remained on the ship.

Kasper waves back, and in the blink of an eye is next to Rai.

Rai grabs the taller. “We get to learn from Kai!”

Kasper just nods, readjusting his headphones. (“I can learn to beat dad and tell Glenn how to as well”) The teen thinks to himself, summoning a game controller into his hand.

“I'm ready for battle.”

 

“Good job, no one is still gonna beat me.” Jay declares, and Kasper looks at his father, lighting his hand in purple light with a smile as the man falls straight down into a port, screaming.

Kai rushed forward and looked down from above the ceiling and the sofa Jay had landed on.

“Kasper.” Nya looked down as Jay gave a smile with a thumbs up. He then eyes the paused game

“I told him I am ready for battle.” Kasper says, and Nya sighs.

“I'm ok, but since we don't have to go back home, I'm up for playing.” Jay glances up and Kasper jumps right down and grabs a controller.

“So is that a normal occurrence?” Kai asked, looking at Nya.

“I'm gonna text Kai to watch Nori, mom.”

“Thanks Rai, but yeah Kai, that is normal.”

Kai nods and watches the gaming session, and Jay being quiet as he spammed buttons. Nya then heads into the portal herself.

“Why aren't you playing?” He asked Rai, who was putting up his phone.

“I'm not much of a gamer, but can you show me your moves now?”

(“Future me is slacking.”)

Kai looks at his future nephew. “Absolutely, kid, after all I trained the legendary green ninja, but first you gotta show me what you can do, I know Jay could float and take lighting head on.” Kai begins walking to the elevator, pushes a button, as Rai joins him.

“Well I can-”
