Severus’ heart skipped a beat.
“Not the Potters,” he said quickly.
Voldemort turned to look at him, his gaze going sharp. “Not the Potters?”
“Their son was born on the first of August,” Severus said. “The prophecy cannot refer to him.”
Harry is born on the first of August. Voldemort targets the Longbottoms instead, kills them and wins.
Together with Severus, he remakes the wizarding world.
