-While the original fic takes place in college my version will be after that, all characters are in late 20s to early 30s

-wil be trying to make the reader insert as uncharacterized as possible, anything that I believe may be to specfic will be listed in a section about the reader on this post, I want to make it so that people of any color, race, weight, height, hair type, etc etc. can read this with as few breaks from the immersion as possible. If you notice something that seems to go against this let me know! I will either fix it or explain why it is needed/ I think it would fit regardless ^^.

-I wanted to make this G/N but... there are multiple people who treat you .... VERY VERY differently based on gender which is fine for one shots but on a random cringe fail series (My first one at that) I want to keep it simple and quick so for this fic we are going with a fem reader. How ever i will be trying to make a second version with a masc reader alongside to the best of my ability

-takes place in a general city in a general location.

-also will take place in a general modern point of time because I would rather die than put in some of the modern day slang you can't make me.

-Most of the love interests work in the same place at the very least the Hashira do.

-No Kanae :( Im sorry i just am not confident on writing her, even being manga and anime i feel like the content of her is very fleeting. I do know that there are light novels out there that she features in more so, who knows maybe one day ill get my grubby little hands on them and she can be added into my fics. - no muichiro in the polycule for obvious reasons that are obvious

-Light anime logic shenanigans (all compliant with KNY academy shenanigans)

-Some light age changing, mostly making some characters that are ALREADY ADULTS a bit older to be on the same page as the others (ex. Gyutaro, Akaza, and Shinobu are all 18 in canon kny I'll be moving them to early 20s as a 18 year old dating their 27 year old teacher is un comfortable. Since this story isn't fully canon compliant and I am mostly taking small bits and bobs from it as a base, I see no reason to leave them at 18 as it has no real in universe reason to stand.

-There will be a lot of interaction with the KNY kiddos... because you are a teacher.

-Pining and yearning is my game here

-While I am going at this with the idea of a fun lighthearted romantic fic (maybe some spice? hm? If there's demand?) there will be some heavy moments because these characters backstories are sad sometimes

-Akaza and Hakuji are separate people, going the twin brothers' route because I shan't kill off Koyuki again, let them stay together.

-Op is still deciding a lot of the details like the into the polycule and oop -Y/N will be used as little as possible since it's kind of awkward, but unfortunately if this goes as long as I hope it will be a necessary evil lol

-Reader is fresh out of college

Giyu Tomioka - Fav food is Simmered Salmon with Daikon, Not a big fan of sweets.

-His sister has been spared though, shes fine.

-Casual dress: Dresses more for comfort than looks, Sweatshirts/sweaters and baggy jeans if your lucky a compression shirt here and there depending on the weather. Quite a bit of athletic wear.

-Holds TO MUCH eye contact

-Took him longest to date Obani out of the group.

Kyojuro Rengoku

-Still lives at home but its mostly to take care of his sickly mother (SICKLY not dying) So Senjuro doesn't have to worry about it only has free time if his mother forces him to or if Shinjuro is off work.

-easiest way to gain his eye is by being passionate, Double and triple points if it involves history since that is where his special interest lies, But passion in general is very attractive to him

-Also has a strong appreciation for theater

-One of the easiest entryways into the group, since he is very extroverted

-His charisma hides the fact that hes one of the more socially awkward of the group, if you watch the anime this guy doesnt really do eye contact unless hes actively locked in, otherwise he is more looking ahead even when spoken to. opposite of Giyu there lol

-AMAZING intuition he can clock whether someone is good or bad news if they enter a five mile radius of him

-Rengoku is not dumb, he is actually very intelligent and calculating. The smile and cheerful disposition trick alot of people.

-Anime shenanigan speed and strength holder.

-Sports fan

-Has a hearing aid due to hearing loss in one ear, often hidden behind his hair (not intentionally thats just how his hair lies) while his voice carries normally when hes without it he just shouts alot of what he says.

-favorite soup is Miso soup with sweet potatos

-Has never had a pet before , doesnt know what hes missing out on

-superstitious as HELL

-Good with kids!

-Can be hard to tell when hes joking sometimes because he doesnt change his tone at ALL

-Casual Dress: Still dresses kind of formal because hes violently proffesional, he also just feels uncomfortable in super casual clothes lolol. The most casual your going to get is a solid tshirt under a solid cardigan with black pants. And maybe a small jewelry piece like dog tags or a plain silver ring. More common It's a button up beneath a red patterned or textured sweater or sweater vest , sometimes a knit shawl hangs off his shoulders.

-Enjoys sparing and still helps in his fathers Dojo sometimes

-Doesn't swear and out of habit isn't a fan of swearing but tolerates it outside of school and when not around children.

-Do NOT TELL HIM THIS do NOT GIVE HIM THE POWER, but fully the reason the polycule got together everyone was busy freaking out about their feelings and what it means for themselves or their partners (since a few of them were dating before becoming a polycule) and he having had three wives was just like 'Hey guys... have we considered???? And the rest is history everyone tells him it would have happened anyway, that is just for the sake of keeping his ego in check don't jeopardize that!

-Fully a past delinquent in high school.

-Anime shenanigans for strength, speed, and dynamite lol.

- Enjoys sparing and physical challenges

-Very forward.

-incredibly soft and sweet underneath all of the Cocky nonesense.

-Also hiding a inferiority complex bad. Comes from a harsh home life from which hes now estranged.

-Loves all forms of the arts Theater, Art, Writing, Music etc etc. Unfortunetly the guy is BAD at music specfically.

-Closeset to His wives, Rengoku, and Sanemi but in a head butting all the time way.

-Often uses his partners in his exercises, Push ups with someone on his back, lifting a partner over weights, doing runs with someone on his back.

-Loves Hiking but mostly to try and find Hot springs he can take his partners to.

-Still has a shit ton of survivors guilt, Freak accident took alot of his family before he cut ties.

-Easiest way to catch his eye? Be flashy in any way. Give him something to hook onto and he will hook line and sinker. Or sway his wives first now wouldn't that be impressive?

-Casual Dress: Crazy looks over all else. still dripping in gold and gems, Makeup and Hair Done. Typically, will wear some kind of tank top or sleeveless shirt typically blue with golden patterns across it, And then baggy pants in a style very similar to canon also blue with a DIFFERNT PATTERN ON THEM. it is so busy but it kind of works?? at least most of the time he has some EGRIGIOUS outfits.

-Civics and Homeroom Teacher.

-Ugh I love this guy, sweetest of hearts I wanted him to be the first one you get with but thats what happens in the fic im taking inspiration from so i wont i guess *sigh*

-Has a ginger cat

-while kind and gentle it can take him a while to warm up to someone, But just by being Kind and genuine youll have him wrapped around your finger quick.

-very traditional, the straight man of the group who mostly keeps everyone else in check

-So rare but he can throw some snark back if pressed enough, He just hasnt really had a reason to.

-Anime speed and Strength shenanigans but... is it really??? almost 7'3 and all muscles??? he could probably lift a 2 story 3 bedroom house above his head

-Backstory very similar to the canon, however instead of living in a warehouse and getting got by a demon, He worked in a daycare which got broken into, To Protect the kids he beat a man to death and was fired (though not jailed).

-Similar miscommunication leads to Sayo's family getting a restraining order against the Poor guy, Which will be expiring soon . Part of his story will be helping Sayo apologize to him and make amends

-Lives on his own, you would think he lives in a mostly empty sad bachelor pad but no, its full of Cat items all kinds of cat trees, toys, and hides. He also has a large couch.. though he usually uses a floor cushion.

-Big enjoyer of music and traditional theater

-Clocks peoples feelings immediately he knows exactly who is into who and when.

-Closest to: Tengen and Mitsuri

-Vegetarian

-Casual Dress: Mostly Sweaters, turtlenecks, Flannels over T shirts. Has a nice looking smart sense of style but its mostly for comfort over apperances, Still carries Prayer beads around.

-Lets Genya hide from Sanemi with him from time to time, He understands why Sanemi is so harsh but steps in when it's taken too far.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

-Gets flustered... probably the easiest of the group, maybe only beaten by Mitsuri.

-Unlike Giyu or Obani who freeze or deflect when flustered, Sanemi gets Aggresive lmfao. He shouts and he might chuck something at the window, he phyiscally can not handle the strength of the emotion so he just turns it into aggression not at you ofc but the general surroundings are not safe.

-Still quick to fight, The guys who like sparing tend to help him work it out of his system.

-His family is alive, He kicked the shit out of his dad and ran him out as soon as he was old enough though.

-harsh towards genya now because he wants him to succeed. Worried he might fall into being a delinquient in high school like Sanemi did. He is very much a loving brother and hangs out with Genya but sometimes he just takes it way to far.

-Very worried about being like his father.

-Anime Logic strength and speed

-Has a rare bloodtype so, he actually donates blood often.

-As his favorite food is Ohagi he LOVES sweets loves loves loves. But he would be DAMMED if he speaks up about it, His sweet tooth rivals Mitsuris

-Has alot of pride in his physigue even though the rest of his apperance tends to scare people off

-He still has his beetles I won't take them.

-He is closest to: Obani, Rengoku, and Gyomei

-Quickest way to catch his eye? A few things, to have guts and not have a moments hesitation towards his appearance.

-Has the most aggressive dynamic with Tengen, who Often provokes him. Normally ends in them aggressively making out.

-He and shinbou arnt dating each other, To awkward considering his past interest in Kanae.

-Likes cooking but no one can be in kitchen at the same time or he will lose it

-Casual dress: Shirts unbuttoned to just below his sternum or deep v necks. Sleeves short, rolled, or nonexistent. He doesn't like stuff around his neck at all and he's proud of his muscles and he will show them off dammit!

-Science teacher specifically earth science

-Still has his women allergy, but since hes now in this Polycule and Mitsuri is so affectionate he is getting treatments to lessen the symptoms.

-Strict rule follower at work, also needs to be held back from wailing on the kids lol

-Easiest way to catch his eye, Be cheery, and OPEN he can tell if your hiding something or masking and he can't lower his walls in that circumstance.... and treat him like a normal guy lol.

-still has alot of family issues, is completly estranged but hes done ALOT of work on it before this fan fic.

-Does have glasses to try and aide the blindness in his right eye but mostly chooses not to wear them unless hes going to be doing long term reading like grading.

-Closest to: Sanemi, Rengoku, Mitsuri and Tengen

-Falls HARD AND FAST can be a immeadite thing with him but by god will he NOT act on it or show it.

-Obanai's favorite food is Tororo-Kombu

-Likes some of the arts, primarily Poetry and Theater (but hes pretentious about it, has to be REAL theater lolol)

Mitsuri Kanroji

-The Home Ec Teacher

-Super duper uper easy to catch her eye. be nice to her consistently, defend her or admire a trait about herself that she dislikes and she will be all over you SO FAST

-anime strength and speed but I also think that's just common for her.

-Her favorite part of home ec is sewing, while the students make small simple things like Pillowcases, blankets, and wallets She will sew little Plushes and cutsey frilley things, everyone has at least one hand sewn plush of Mitsuris little cat creation lol

-Sometimes tries to have her classes and the cule do yoga and stretching exercises and it can be MISERABLE on the body

-Closest to Obani, Rengoku, and Shinobu

-Was SOOO relived when the group decided to try being a polycule, she had been so guilty over her spread feelings and admiration it was genuinely affecting her quality of life and making her continually miserable (part of why everyone despite their hesitation agreed to try)

-Still keeps bees because that is FUN!!!!! I like!!!!!!

-Mitsuri’s favorite foods are pork cutlets and omurice.

-will be VERY very excited about the addition of another women to the Polycule, finally they can even the score!!!

-Not dating Rengoku, they have a more familial/strong platonic relationship

-Casual dress: Pink frilly cutsey clothes. all brights, pastels, and whites. Very feminine

-Likes cooking and has never been beaten at a board game much to everyone's despair.

-Still has the bright cheerful facade on Kanaes request. Told her she would scare away all the students.

-Has a love for horror Media and loves using it to freak people out

-Shinobu's favorite food is Ginger Tsukudani

-Still has her pet goldfish Fugu because cute

-Also excited to even out the numbers of men and women

-Also is the fencing coach onto of chemistry teacher

-is a SORE loser.

-Casual Dress; Well... it's not exactly casual lol, she is always dressed formal in some way turtlenecks and long skirts/ flared pants, Blouses and jewlery.

-The person who got Giyu to join the polycule by just harrasing him about it.

Akaza Soyama

-Twin brother of Hakuji who is engaged to Koyuki because you can't stop me

-Not a part of the cule but we can fix that heh heh

-Would not be dating most of the cule, most likely just the reader, Rengoku, and maybe Giyu??.. Unless I get some see something that persuades me to change or add more characters than I might

-Not actually a teacher at the school

-works 2 part time jobs, One helping at the dojo and the other as a bouncer.

-Has known reader since they were young ends up helping a lot with production work on your request, either because he's between bouncer jobs or got banned from his regular gym for getting into a fight and you tell him it would be a workout lol.

-He and Hakuji were fight hungry delinquents through Middle and high school... Akaza never really grew out of it though at least not fully lol.

-Yearning does run in these boys blood though.

-Has a past with Rengoku from Middle school... It's them getting into fights but still

- Does still have a lot of his marks, rather than the face marks though he has the arms/legs and a stripe around his neck. Just.. simplified really

-Easiest way to catch his eye? Well, I might have him be into the reader from the beginning but that aside. Be strong... Obvious right? That doesn't mean just Physically though, mentally or spiritually also fully works for him.

-Does still hold a grudge against Hakuji for abandoning their little tag team duo to Marry Koyuki?? Yeah, its passive more an annoyance he makes little jabs at sometimes. Unlike Hakuji he hasn't moved past their fathers passing. He doesn't like discussing his past.

-Despite how AGGRESIVLEY competitive he is, seriously it's scary to go up against this man he is horrific to play with, He is actually a good loser .. it's just everything before that to worry about.

-Besides training Akaza enjoys Caring for the Gardens and Koi fish at the dojo.

Casual Dress: Typically has some silver piercings in and a bandage somewhere. Dresses in one or three ways depending on the setting and temperature, 1. A loose long sleeve or Sweatshirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbow, a Compression shirt and sweatpants, or a Sleeveless sweatshirt either zipped down to his pecs or completely unzipped.

-Reader does have some personality that hopefully can be easily identified with, We just have ALOT of strong personalities here so poor reader has to contend somehow.

-Reader is Optimistic, Level headed, Introspective and strong willed. Able to hold her own.

-You won't see any of leader cowering in terror at slight pushes to be saved by someone else, she is just as competent as the others.

-(Not to say some of your partners wont still be overprotective lol)

-there will be no mention of readers hair, weight, height, or race.

-Outfits will be kept vague and only mentioned on special occasions, this shouldnt be hard since when working you all have uniforms.
