Work Text:
Matt spent his whole life trying to live up to his Father’s expectations.
He didn't fight and he ignored the screams and sirens of the city, letting the justice system handle it. His whole life, he held back the fury of the Devil that was in the Murdock family.
That was, until one day when it became too much. It was a little girl and her father…
He didn't even think when he got dressed and covered his eyes for anonymity.
His fists fell on the girl's father and blood splattered onto his face. Justice was in Matt's hands. It felt good.
It was like the night his knuckles sunk into the flesh of Roscoe Sweeney, the feeling of adrenaline pumping in his veins as retribution was delivered at last.
Maybe the system wasn't good enough. Maybe it needed intervention from someone like him.
God put the Devil in him for a reason, and what better way was there to utilize his abilities for good?
After all, justice was blind, and who better to ensure punishment than the Devil?
His life hadn't been the same since.
He made a deal with the Devil, and in return, he became the Devil.
