Chapter Text
Ok, so...
Like any Total Drama fanseries/competition fanfiction, there's 100% going to be an elimination order. This is because, characters will vote each other off every few days or so and only ONE person can win. This is where the elimination order comes in.
So that I have a good idea on who is supposed to go, and who is staying, I would plan out an elimination order. Of course it's going to change every now and then but yeah... it's going to have to be finalised once the fanfic/series starts getting into production.
Fun fact: Did you know, the elimination order for Disventure Camp: All-Stars had to be changed at least four times because the showrunners thought it was boring? Well... it is completely normal, especially when you realise some Toons might not have much stories to tell than you hoped for.
Anyways, you NEED to know who your first boots are. Since the Million Tape Game's contestants are other people's OCs/canon Dandy's World characters, I'd usually chop out the Toons with the least amount of stories to tell/boring to write. The only exception was Celestia and Bristle, who were cut thanks to THE GENERAL PUBLIC (when Beta TMTG was running). That's why Toons like Al, Iona or even Lightning make it far... while Toons like Coal, Smores, Craft Container and Sparks had to take the boot very early on.
Sometimes, the larger threats (who just so happen to be cool, popular and good at challenges) might be eliminated relatively earlier than expected. I'd usually do this to show how much power the MAIN ANTAGONIST (at the time) have on the show. Said "cool, popular and good at challenges" early/pre-merge boots can include Rubix and Lance, Hunter from Disventure Camp: All Stars, and probably the entirety of Team Victory in Total Drama World Tour (except Lindsay and Ezekiel, sorry)
Booting a larger threat can also give them a stronger story in the second season (see Caleb (Total Drama))
So, how would you INCREASE your chances of your OC making it far on the Million Tape Game? MAKE THEM INTERESTING. That's why OCs that have at least some lore/personality/depth like Al and Spectra (oops) will make it very far, while Toons that are just there like Craft Container would be treated as filler and booted out as soon as possible.
Also, a trend among most elimination orders is the "most unlikeable villainous bitch" making it far into their season. Friendly Reminder: It's not the "Happy Sunshine Rainbows and Unicorns" game, plus in real life, people have done really evil things (not evil evil but morally bad evil). (cough cough, Russell Hantz)
Anyways, for finales, I prefer a little bit of tension, and not the "happy sunshine rainbows" finales. What I would deem "happy sunshine rainbows" finales are finales where two/three people that get along compete each other in the most nothing burger final challenge. I have to admit, The Million Tape Game 1's finale falls under "happy sunshine rainbows", so maybe I could've made Lightning a little bit more malicious but he's a nice guy... unlike HUMAN LIGHTNING. (The human Lightning you'd see in Dandy's World RPs on the wiki is an ADULT in his 30s, not a sixteen year old, so he should be smarter and more mature)
Anyways, brachy08 out! See ya on the next entry!
