Chapter Text
‘It wasn’t supposed to be this way… It wasn’t supposed to happen like this….’ Blood ran down her arm as she walked through the forest, her body trembled as each step sent waves of pain through her body. ‘Yet here I am… wondering the forest of a strange world that I woke up in.’ She thought as she took another step. Her body shook with exhaustion as she continued to push herself. Her breathing labored as a weak chuckle escaped, her half-lidded, tired coral pink eyes stared out in front of her, vision blurring at the edges. “And to think..” She said in a whisper, her voice raw. “This all s-started because of… that sick bastard.” Groaning she stumbled a bit before leaning heavily on a tree next to her. With labored breaths she looked to the setting sun in the distance of this world she has now found herself in.
‘At least I was able to save my friends… hopefully that man is dead.’ Sliding down to the ground she closed her eyes as the wind blew past, making her shiver slightly in the cold. ‘Maybe it would be best if I rest my eyes for a bit…’ She thought as she opened her eyes to look up at the trees. ‘I’ll think of some way to get home later… for now… I’ m going to…’ Her thoughts trailed off as she finally welcomed the darkness.
5 hours before in her world
It was a beautiful night for anyone else except for the three teens huddled around a table trying to find out how to defeat Gerard and get Jackson back to normal, well more like one is standing at the table and the other two are around the room. Scott and Derek were fighting in the other room. Everyone had found out what Scott was planning and now him and Derek were arguing about a plan that would be better. Stiles was also angry at his best friend for not telling him what he was planning, but also because he was planning to use his boyfriend! Stiles leaned against the wall next to the table, as the two yelled at each other in the other room. He turned his head to look at the two girls in the room with him.
Lydia stood in the corner of the room hugging herself. Her long strawberry red hair falling into her eyes as she started at the floor. Her mind raced as she took in the information that Stiles, Derek, Scott and Misty gave her. Stiles felt bad for her, having to be pulled into all this and finding out that her ex-boyfriend is a crazy monster being controlled by Allison’s grandfather who is manipulating her. Stiles’ whiskey colored eyes turned to the other girl in room with them, who was sitting in a chair looking out the window.
The second girl had brown hair that faded into teal and white patches on the front hair. She was wearing a green hoodie that had short sleeves over her white tang-top, with ripped blue jeans, black finger-less gloves, and brown thigh high boots. Her hair was short and puffed out on one side. She also wore a gold bow hair clip with white stings at the bottom and a gold necklace around her neck. She was fairly new to their group of supernatural teens. She joined their school about 5 months ago and has been helping them with the supernatural after she had told them that she was a Druid, just like Deaton was.
Her spells came in handy and her and Deaton have even been teaching Stiles how to use magic as well after he was told about the power he possessed. She turned her coral pink eyes to Stiles. “What are you staring at me for?” She questioned as the young ‘Druid’ in training stared to her. “Nothing. Just thinking of the plan.” He mumbled before turning his head to look back at the table.
The girl sighed and moved to get up from her place before walking over to Stiles’ side. “So, come up with anything new so we don’t have to do it that way?” The boy shook his head. “No, and we don’t have long. Also where the hell are Erica, Issac, and Boyd?” The multi-colored haired girl shrugged her shoulders before both Druids turned to the door where yelling could be heard.
“I’m surprised Derek hasn’t just killed him yet.” Stiles let out a chuckle at that. “Oh, trust me he wants too, but despite what Scott’s done or was planning on doing we can’t do this alone.” He turned to look at the girl next to him. “We need everyone we’ve got to take Gerard down. And honestly Scott’s the only one who can get through to Alison.” She had to agree with him on that.
The girl thought for a moment before something came to mind. “I think I know a way for us to beat Gerard.” Stiles stared at her wide eyed. “I know a spell that can send him somewhere else. Somewhere that isn’t here. All we need to do is cut his connection to Jackson and I can send him there.” A small smile graced her lips. “It shouldn’t be a problem.” Stiles stared at her. “Are you sure that will work, Misty?” Her smile fell into a frown. “We don’t have much of a choice. But I know it will work. It has to.”
Suddenly, a roar was heard from behind the closed door where the two Were-wolves were fighting. “But first we need to get them to stop fighting.” Just then the door to the hallway opened to reveal Erica, Boyd, and Issac. Misty, Stiles, and Lydia turned to look at them. “What took you so long?” Stiles asked in what Misty could only describe as his ‘mother voice’. The three that had just stepped into the room stopped and looked at Stiles with sheepish looks. “Sorry, Stiles we had to get some stuff and then Erica and Issac couldn’t find the car so yeah…” Boyd explained. Stiles rubbed his eyes and waved them in. “Okay, fine. Just get in here so we can tell you the plan.”
After about an hour Scott and Derek came out of the room and looked around. “Alright everyone is here let’s come up with a new plan.” Derek said as he walked around the table and stood next to Stiles. Scott leaned against the door frame of the room they had just come out of. Misty looked between them before settling her gaze on Derek. “Right, well, I have a plan to get rid of Gerard once Jackson is free from his control.” She started. All eyes turned to her. “While the two of you were arguing Stiles and I were researching how to do just that.” Misty turned to look at Stiles for him to continue, this part of the plan was all his.
After doing some research we found that the Kanima has to be killed then resurrected by someone close to him.” Everyone turned to look at Lydia who had been quiet. “Me?” Misty and Stiles nodded their heads. “We know it’s a lot right now, Lydia. No one will blame you if you decide not to go through with this, but if you don’t then Jackson won’t come back.” The red head looked around the room before taking in a deep breath. “Fine. I’ll do it.” Stiles smiled at her before turning to address the rest of the Pack. “Like Misty said once Jackson is free she can send Gerard far from here.”
Issac raised his hand. “Where exactly will you be sending him?” Misty looked at the people before her and sighed. “I’m honestly not sure where this spell will send him. All I know is that once it’s done we won’t be seeing him ever again.” It went quiet for a moment before Derek spoke. “Alright, we have our plan now we just need to get to Gerard.” Scott walked up to the table, leaning his hands against it glaring at Derek. “What about Alison?” Before Derek could say anything to the Beta Stiles cut him off. “Nothing is going to happen to Alison, as long as she isn’t in our way or interferes with the plan. Scott, you have to talk to her and get her to see that Gerard is using her.” Stiles’ gaze softened. “Your the only one she’ll listen to.”
Scott sighed and stood back up. “Fine. I’m supposed to meet Gerard with Derek in about 4 hours so we have time to prepare.” Everyone started to move around the room while Misty walked over to Stiles, Scott and Derek. “Hey, I’ve got something I need to get for the spell, but I should be back in time to send Gerard away.” Olive eyes looked at her with an unreadable expression. “And you’re sure that this spell of yours will work?” Misty nodded before walking out the door. The item she needed was at the one place in Beacon Hills she didn’t ever want to go. Deaton’s Vet.
It was true that her and Deaton were training Stiles on how to use his magic, but that didn’t mean she forgave him for what he did to her little brother all those years ago. And besides Deaton was a Master Druid, while she was still learning. Although, she was more skilled and obtained her white hair streaks faster then anyone her age, she still had a bit to learn before she gained her star mark.
As she walked to where the Druid would be it had started to rain. She pulled her hood up and continued down the street to the vet. She could remember that day so clearly. It had been raining that day too. Misty could still smell the snitch of blood, and burning flesh. Could still hear her cry’s and pleas for them to stop. Misty stopped walking as she felt tears running down her face mixing into the rain that fell from the heavens. She wiped her tears with one hand while the over gripped the necklace that was round her neck.
‘Get it together, Misty. Now isn’t the time to be thinking about that.’ She berated herself as she continued walking. ‘One thing at a time.’ She made it to Deaton’s just as the rain had began to come down even harder. She gripped the doorknob and took a deep breath before opening the door and entering the vet. The bell that sat at the top of the door rang in the silent lobby. Misty stood there for a moment scanning the room for any sign of the Druid. When she didn’t see him she took a step into the room. ‘He must be in the back.’
With that thought she opened the door to the back and continued to look for him. “Deaton?” She stopped outside the doorway to the examination room and looked around till she spotted Deaton leaning over a table reading a page from one of his many magic books. Stepping closer she called his name again. “Deaton.” The older man turned his head at his name being called and put the book down. His eyes widened in surprise as he saw Misty standing in front of him before they softened. “I wasn’t expecting to see here without Stiles or Scott by your side.” He said to which Misty scoffed and glared at him with cold eyes.
“I’m not here for small talk Deaton.” Deaton looked at her and crossed his arms. “Very well, what may I ask is the nature of this visit?” Misty pulled her hood down, her hair sticking to her forehead due to the rain. “We have a plan to save Jackson and get rid of Gerard once and for all.” Hearing this the master Druid and a sneaking suspicion as to what she was planning to do. “Oh? And what does that have to do with this visit?” Misty put a hand on her hip as she used the other hand to run through her hair, pulling the wet strands of hair off her face.
“I need a leaf from the Nemeton to perform the spell and I know you have some.” Deaton sighed and uncrossed his arms, letting one fall to his side while the other he placed on top of the table behind him. “I know what you’re planning, Misty.” He narrowed his eyes slightly at the teen before him. “While, yes, I do have what you need, doesn’t mean I’m going to give it to you.”
Misty grit her teeth as her narrowed even more on the man before him. “We don’t have any other choice. With the Kanima under Gerard’s control it won’t be long before he starts to kill people!” Her voice grew louder at the end as she lowered her head so her hair was covering her eyes. The older of the two took a step forward, his hands clenched into fists. “And what about you? If you do the spell wrong it could kill you! I promised-”
“Shut Up!” A gust of wind exploded out from under Misty’s feet, shacking the building. Deaton stared with wide eyes as he saw tears roll down the young girl’s cheeks, her bow shaped hair clip glowing ever so slightly as well as her eyes and white hair streaks. “Don’t you dare talk about the promise you made to my parents when you didn’t keep it!” Her breathing was heavy as a sob escaped her lips. She lifted her head, eyes filled with pain, hatred, and loss. “Give me the leaf, Alan. You may have broken your promise back then, but I intend to keep mine and get rid of Gerard no matter what happens to me.”
She held her hand out as the two Druid’s stared at each other, her eyes glowed with not only magic but intensity as wall. Deaton sighed, his gaze shifting to something sadder. He turned around and grabbed a small jar that had gray leaves inside. He opened it and pulled one out before putting the jar back. Turning back to Misty and gently placed it in her head. Once the leaf was in her hand, the glow faded, and Misty turned on her heel and left without another word and not once looking back. Deaton stood in the quiet room alone once more. Tears pricking his eyes as he thought back to the promise he had made Misty’s parents years ago.
As Misty left the vet she couldn’t hold her tears anymore and ducked into the first alley she found, leaning against the brick wall as her tears rolled down her cheeks mixing with the rain. She stood there for a minute trying to let her breathing even out. Once she was certain that she wasn’t going to lose control of her magic she pushed herself off the wall, gently put the gray leaf in her hoodie pocket, and ran down the street. She needed to get to the warehouse and get rid of the sick bastard once and for all.
Misty got there just as the Kanima, Jackson, had grabbed Alison. Coral eyes narrowed, of course Gerard would betray his own granddaughter. Derek, Scott, Peter, Issac, and Boyd all surrounded as Gerard smiled as if things were going according to his plan, actually, smiled! Misty quickly ducked behind some old boxes as to not be seen. She took a look around and noticed that Stiles, Lydia, and Erica weren’t here yet. ‘Dammit, where are they?’ She thought as the fight started. Chris Argent, Alison’s father, had shot the Kanima in the shoulder causing it to let go of Alison.
Once, she was free Scott quickly pulled her away from it as Derek, Issac, and Peter started their attack. Misty smiled from behind the box she was hiding behind. Once, Jackson was back to normal then she could send Gerard away. She looked back over to where Gerard was standing only to notice that he wasn’t there anymore. The young Druid frantically searched for him with her eyes, but still couldn’t find him. Suddenly, she a cold hand grab her arm and twisted it behind her back while the other covered her mouth so her couldn’t call out.
“Was this your plan?” Misty’s eye widened as Gerard’s voice whispered in her ear, his breath ghosting her neck from how close he was. She grunted in pain as he twisted her arm more. “It won’t work. Your plan will fall and you all will die.” He started to walk backwards, still holding Misty in front of him like a shield. Gerard moved them to the shadows just as Stiles’ jeep came rolling in. Jackson was laying on the ground not moving. Lydia ran to him and pulled him close crying. For a moment it was quiet. No one moved. Then Jackson took a breath. Then another. Lydia smiled and hugged him closer.
Gerard took that moment to move into the light, ruining the sweet moment with his presence. Stiles noticed them first followed closely by all the Were-wolves in the room. “Misty!” Stiles yelled. Derek, Scott and the other’s bore their fangs as they saw their friend in the hands of the enemy. Alison had her bow out, while her father had his gun. Gerard laughed as he looked at the scene in front of him. “Well, that was quite touching. Wouldn’t you say?” He looked at everyone before tightening his grip on Misty. Her pained whimper caused all the Were-wolves to growl.
Gerard turned his gaze to Scott and glared. “Give me what we agreed and I’ll let her go. However if you don’t.” He finished that thought by twisting her arm removing his hand from her mouth as she cried out in pain. Panting Misty looked up at her friends. Seeing their fear and anger she knew what she had to do to stop this once and for all. Scott looked between Derek and Gerard as if debating actually doing it when chuckling cut through the stretched silence. Everyone’s eyes turned to Misty. Her head was bowed so they couldn’t see her face, but that didn’t matter as the wind slowly began to pick up speed.
“You really are a stupid, sick, twisted, son of a bitch.” That earned her another twist of the arm from the man holding her, causing a cry of pain to escape, but she quickly cut it off and grit her teeth. “You just proved my point.” She said as she slammed her foot down on Gerard’s causing him to lose his grip on her. Misty reached into her hoodie pocket and pulled out the gray leaf that she got from Deaton raising it in the air. Her eyes, hair clip, and white hair streaks started to glow as she crushed the leaf in her hand, the wind picked up more speed swirling around her and Gerard in a dome like shape.
Gerard stumbled back from the force of the wind, but never stepped out of the wind dome. He couldn’t even if he tried. Stiles and the other’s watched with wide eyes as everything happened. With the crushed leaf in her hand Misty closed her eyes. “ᥴꪮꪑꫀ ᭙꠸ꪀᦔᦓ ꪮᠻ ᥴꫝꪖꪀᧁꫀ. ᦓꫀꪀᦔ ꪻꫝꪮᦓꫀ ꠸ꪀ ꪻꫝ꠸ᦓ ᦔꪮꪑꫀ ᦓꪮꪑꫀ᭙ꫝꫀ᥅ꫀ ꪀꫀ᭙. ᠻꪖ᥅ ᠻ᥅ꪮꪑ ꫝꫀ᥅ꫀ!” She cast the spell with as much power as she could. A bright light filled the room and as suddenly as it came it was gone. As were Gerard and Misty. Everyone stared at the spot where Misty was just moments ago, but no one was there. The only thing in her place was a black scorch mark.
“Where did she go?” Issac asked. No one answered him. The silence stretched out as everyone stared at the black mark on the floor where their friend once stood. She was gone.
