You sew teachers coat back up and he can't help but be hopelessly in love with you

Work Text:

You were taken in by Albert a few months ago ever since he aided your sounds after your village got purged. You got close, and stayed with him due to not exactly having a home anymore. You wanted to do something nice in return, but didn't know what you could do. Hes independent, after all... Until today.

Albert was currently chopping wood outside, the sound of a wood being split echoing in the dark night. You sat cross legged on the floor inside, needle in hand as you attempted to see teachers coat together again. You only remember so much of what Shiva said prior in the day. Fail after fail, you grew more frustrated, yet more determined. You didn't even hear Albert open the door and walk inside until he spoke.

"W-...what are you doing? " His voice was smooth and velvety as he spoke, his tone showing his slightly flustered state. You felt intense disappointment over not being able to finish the repair in time.

"I wanted to fix your coat for you! But I... couldn't really finish it in time. " You smiled shyly as you showed the progress you made so far.. Which was little.

His tail slowly began to wag behind him as he adverted his gaze from you, bringing his hand to hover over what was supposed to be his face.

"Thank you... Y/N. " He looked back at the coat in your hands.

"You got further along than I did... It looks much more flattering too. " His eyes crinkled as he spoke, it representing a smile while not having a mouth to smile with. You smiled back at him.

Albert couldn't sworn he felt his heart begin to beat for a moment when he saw your smile...

"Would you like some tea as you work? " He finally offers, his gaze landing on your lips as he spoke. You nodded your head "Yes, thank you. "

As Albert walked off into the kitchen, you continued sewing, feeling less nervous now that you weren't on a time limit. He soon broke the silence as he called out to you.

"You should sit at the table as you finish up. " You can hear the fondness in his tone as he watched you carefully work.

"Ah... Right. " You stood up, a bit embarrassed admittedly, as you switched your stationary to the table in the kitchen. He went back to preparing the tea as you moved.

He soon sat across from you, carefully placing a steaming cup of tea next to you. A "smile" creeps onto his face again as he silently watched you work. The way your brows furrowed in focus, how you gently chewed your bottom lip as your hands worked delicately, the way the warm candle light all illuminated your face... You looked up at him and smiled gently. You nodded your head thanks as you stopped what you were doing and took the cup into your hands. The steam swirled in the air and warned your hands up as you held it close to your face. You gently blew the steam away before you took a sip.

Albert watched you with a content look in his eyes, his arm folded over the table top as he leaned slightly over it.

He will forever be thankful that he was lucky enough to meet you.
