meet cute
a pair of women walking slowly, side by side, through the busy streets of new york, the deep jean jacket and the long green coat clashed with the city’s gray, but matched with the fallen leaves.
the short one, prince hair and jean armor looked at the tall one, gorgeous waves and forest coat, as if she held the mood. the tall one reached for her hand.
“hi excuse me, are you two a couple?” a young man approached them with caution, not wanting to disturb their rhythm nor their peace. “oh my god, it’s you!” after a long glance, full of doubt, weariness but also excitement, the tall one answered “yup, yes we are.”
the young man didn’t know it yet but this moment, in this video, would become the most rewatched second of his channel.
“would you mind telling us the story of how you first met?” he asked following the script.
again, a look between them, the short one nodded and smiled big, and as if they could read each other's mind, the tall one answered “well we met at work! almost 8 years ago”
“how long have you been together?” she answered “well, we’re on out 2 year anniversary trip, so 2 years married, 5 together, 7 and a half being soulmates and almost 8 being co-workers”
“yeah we were your classic co-workers to best friends to awkward phase to lovers” the prince haired one added.
“seven being soulmates?”
“and a half!” the tall one added as she went to hug her wife by the waist, she continued “well when we met i was in a uhm, i was married”
“and i was in denial”
“but one thing led to another and here we are”
“being hr’s worst nightmare” the one with the jean jacked said as she reached for a peck.
“what was your first impression of each other?”
“oh my god this is amazing. my first impression was ‘wow that red body paint will be a pain in the ass to clean’, and then it was ‘wow she’s so, so, so funny’. i think i realized that this human was going to be in my life forever right then.”
“i knew of her before we started working together and wow, my first impression was like so basic i was like ‘she’s so tall, and hot and damn so funny’”
“so after 7 years, whats your favorite thing about her”
“oh, okay, let me think…” the tall goddess squinted her eyes as she tried to choose one thing of the many she loves about her partner “i got it. i could literally say any typical answer because it would be true but honestly, how good she is. not only in the sense that she’s good, great even, at anything she puts her mind into but how good of a person she is. she’s just , argh, so good my baby. but truly, she’s an amazing actress, producer, comedian but her heart of gold is what i love the most”

“and you? what’s your favorite thing about her?”
“i don’t wanna sound like i’m copying her because it sounds similar, but how she loves? like to know amanda is not only to love her, but to be loved by her. i might be biased by the romantic love we share, but our friends can confirm, she loves so much and so good. i got to be her friend, her best friend before, i got to be hers, and god her love raised all the standards.”

“shut up”
“oh! i wanna add! my favorite thing iswhen we’re at home and she grabs her guitar and she sings to me, that might be my favorite moment ever. the world gets to have her art and her funny, but i get to have that and i love it.”
“what are you most excited for the future?”
“to grow old with her, god you’re gonna be a hot grandma”
the tall wan rolled her eyes and added “well let me be first a hot mama”
“what’s your secret for a successful co-workers to lovers?”
“keep your relationship a secret, no i’m kidding. just listen, take a breath, enjoy and talk, talk a lot about everything.”
“yeah and have a life together outside work, datenights, weekend trips…”
“and what are your names?”
“i’m angela, she’s amanda and we’re from smosh”

of course they become trending, of course popbase tweeted about it, of course the video reached a million views in an hour.
in between the waves of surprised comments ‘WHAT’ ‘i’m applying for a job at smosh so i can find the loml’ ‘2 YEARS??? MARRIED???’ ‘What’s next? Ian and Anthony have been secretly married for 10 years and they’ve adopted arasha?’ under this comment there’s one from a verified accoun ‘i mean trev and i are staying at their place for a couple of days’ in between all of that a one word comment by a newly changed tiktok name bested the rest in likes ‘obviously’ - angela canto-giarratana.

the next day they officially changed their social media names with their last names hyphenated and published a shared post with their wedding photos.
their first kiss as wives. spork with a white bow tie walking down the aisle. them dancing in their wedding gowns with their parents. them dancing with their smosh friends wearing their reception matching jumpsuits. a photo of amanda kneeling in front of angela. a photo of angela kneeling in front of amanda. spork next to a baby overall.

thank you all for the love we’ve received, it truly is mindblowing! thanks as well for respecting us and our privacy, as you know we both share some snippets of our lives with you guys but we cherish our privacy a lot too, but we will share with you things about our life that we’re comfortable sharing, like for example we will probably hit up jordan and kendahl’s ‘happy wife happy life’ podcasts next week!
we didn’t mean to keep this a secret, and much less for so long! but things happened and we kept delaying it. besides we’re the worst social media posters ever.
