Chapter Text

Two weeks ago if you were to tell Gyeong Su he would end up saving Na yeon and then have her crying in his arms. He would probably call you crazy because there’s no way the Na Yeon he knows would ever cry, especially in front of him.

It was a quiet night, the only sound being shoes padding against the pavement. The street is dimly lit by the street lamps. Gyeong Su, whistling on his way home when he heard it. The desperate sounds of someone- a girl begging, screaming, crying for help.

Instinctively, he goes toward the sound. It comes from down an alleyway. What Gyeong Su sees down that alleyway makes his eyes widen in horror, there’s a guy looming over a familiar figure's almost bare body. His heart starts pounding in his chest as a strange wave of protectiveness washes over him. Adrenaline courses through his veins, as he runs toward the horrific scene.

The next thing he hears the loud crack of bone, as he feels his fist collide with someone's jaw. The creep runs off as fast as he can, meanwhile Gyeong Su turns his attention to the girl- Na Yeon quickly trying to cover her up without seeing anything. Almost immediately he notices that she’s shaking. “Um… hey how about we get you out of here okay?” He seems hesitant like he doesn't quite know what to say in this situation. She very slightly nods tears streaming down her face. Gyeong Su stands slowly trying not to startle Na Yeon, holding his hand out to help her up. The red haired girl hesitantly, shakily takes his hand and lets him pull her up.

Na Yeon walks slowly, Gyeong Su matches her pace. “Do you want me to walk you home?” Why did he ask that obviously she wants to go ho- “no…anywhere but…there,” her voice weakly interrupts his thoughts. “Oh? Um, would you be okay with coming to my place?”  probably not, but that's the only other place he could think of that would feel somewhat safe for her.  She nods slightly again. “You know you're safe now right?” She hums in acknowledgement but doesn't actually respond.

The rest of the walk to Gyeong Su’s is relatively quiet save for Na Yeon sniffling and Gyeong Su checking on her with no response. When they get there Gyeong Su opens the door and Na Yeon hesitantly follows behind him. It's a nice place, the atmosphere is homely, comforting, safe almost.  They toe off their shoes as they enter. “I’m home.” Gyeong Su yells out faintly. It’s kinda late so he didn’t expect anyone to answer, his grandparents are probably sleeping already. “Do you want to go up to my room or stay in the living room?” Na Yeon exhales “Upstairs?”

They quietly walk upstairs trying not to disturb the slight peacefulness of the house. The door of Gyeong Su’s room clicks shut behind them. Gyeong Su walks over his dresser and starts rummaging through the drawers. He grabs out some clothes and turns to hold them out to Na Yeon. “I'm assuming you want to wash off… um the bathroom is across the hall.”

Na Yeon hesitantly takes the clothes and goes across the hall, shutting the down door behind her. Followed by the muffled sound of running water. Gyeong Su sat on his bed while he waited thinking of what he should do. Na Yeon just experienced something traumatic; she's going to need comfort. He's snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of the bathroom door creaking open. Na Yeon comes out looking drained, her eyes full of unshed tears, the night's events having finally caught up to her.

Her figure sways slightly from exhaustion and pain. Gyeong Su gets up, gently guiding her to sit on his bed. He sits next to her making sure to leave a respectful amount of space. Na Yeon hesitantly lids her arms out to Gyoung Su. When he just looks at her in confusion, she pulls her arms back, but before she can place them back to her lap, Gyeong Su pulls her into a hug. She tenses at the sudden embrace; before relaxing into it. The tears that were earlier threatening to fall now roll down her cheeks. Her tears soak into the fabric of his shirt.

Gyeong Su ruds comforting circles on her back. They stay like that for a while. He sits there comforting her until she stops crying. Her breathing is soft and evened out. Gyeong Su carefully gets up and lays her on the bed, gently covering her with the blanket. He sits in a beanbag chair in the corner of the room. He slowly drifts off, the room is quiet save for the occasional muffle noise coming from outside.
