Work Text:

Eyes covered in a blindfold, only the sound of tires and driving was his hint on where they were going.

It was a lovely October evening

Perfect weather, clear skies and exactly 900 days had passed since Luke asked for Max to spend these last years as a couple.

Luke was the one driving has he had prepared for this surprise in anticipation for his loved one, the brown hair man who's beautiful emerald eyes were covered in the peachy silk handkerchief which was avoiding him to get a glance of whatever Luke had prepared for him.

After around 10 minutes of uncertainty, the car stopped.

Luke quickly got out of the car and opened the door for the other one and lent him a hand, hand that Max quickly got a hold on and stepped out of the car

Luke asked for him to watch his step while getting out of the car.
Max, following the other lead and warnings got to stand safely in the sidewalk.

The not-blinfolded man quickly stood behind him and got his hands on the knot of the handkerchief.
As he started to get it loose, he asked if Max was ready for his surprise.

And as quick as he got freed from the blindfold, he couldn't avoid to look up.

That shiny, ritzy and coveted brand new tower in front of him caught all of his attention and his senses, not hearing his boyfriend ask if he liked it

Quickly and in seconds he turned around and hugged him tightly

I managed to get us booked in for the opening night, had some favors to collect, Luke said sweetly on Max ear, hugging him back with all of his love and more to come.

While on this, the brown hair man started to look around at the other people gathering for entering The Skyview. He noticed very fancy attires, not at the level of his soft blue flowery suit. He looked down at it, thing that Luke noticed immediately.

He listened closely at how his date asked him if he looked good enough for the occasion. He couldn't avoid to smile and looked at him back with the sweetest look ever.

Kindly he refered at how Max was like a prince for him, thing that made him smile and feel better about himself.

Now, the brown haired was holding by Luke's arms as they started to walk towards the entrance to the tower.
He couldn't avoid to notice a kid being called out for taking coins out of the fountain and thought of the sign of bad luck that was.

The tower, due to its inauguration, offered a photo stand with a free photo to go, which Max and Luke accepted. From all people, they both admired photography and it's way for capturing memories forever. Luke was a photographer by hobby, so that feeling was stronger.

Both were hugging and smiling before the canvas that simulated clouds and the blue skie. Next to them a cutout of the tower they were visiting.
Both gave their best smiles and them got captured in a beautiful photography.

Their last photography.

Both died later that night, along with all of The Skyview guests. The cause?
The tower saw a rushed construction, being opened five months ahead of schedule with poor operational standards and abysmal structural quality.

These flaws, along with a penny being thrown from the tower's observation deck, led to a total collapse.

The photography of their last moment of happiness.
