Chapter Text
The wind blown through the sharp thorn like spikes down my long neck. Night cold, clouds whispering to the moons when they swooped past in odd breezy shapes.
She never understood why Nightwings would ever pick night over day. She knew that yes, the Nightwings could blend in easier but it was always so cold and armies could easily attack you when asleep in the bright daytime. Invading armies could easily see them and attack when they are half asleep due to their schedule.
Well, they weren't like that anymore. Those years were thousands ago before I even found out how to make potions and helped my tribe, now all I have is this cave of solidarity.
I'm just a legend now, a myth for young dragonets to believe in. Once a brave Rainwing healer turned to an out cast of her tribe for being no more help to them. Except, even now I will never regret helping my tribe. The constant sounds of blood and old foods throwing themselves out of my fellow dragon's mouths, and their pale faces as they were too sick to even sit up to look at their closets friends still haunt me to this day.
If I never helped maybe everyone would have been wiped out, but I did help, and it saved them all for the best of the future even if it meant the Queen who saw me as worthless must throw me out for the sake of our tribe.
Now though there are knew Queens, new dragons, knew everything, yet I shall never explore them for my secrets must be kept safe. Though this world is different, nothing like the war ridden world that was sprung upon my young years.
A strong sigh came out of my tired snout. Even with the nothingness I did all day long I still, in some way was still exhausted no matter how much sleep imposed on my tired body. I slowly turned back to my den, claws scrapping against the solid ground until they finally hit the soft resting place of my small leaf mound.
Tomorrow is another world thuse another opportunity for the knew generation to thrive. Swiftly laying down, curling up, and slowly closing my heavy eyelids. I just hope that the new generation will make the best choices there could be.
Even with the ups and downs of the future it will always lead to the right ending no matter who or what you are it will lead to the best result that could happen.
As I slowly drifted into a deep sleep the only sound that could be heard was the sizzling of crickets in the long, calming night
