Work Text:
The waiting music played throught the building like some liminal, corporate hell.
Scar taps absentmindedly as he waits at the front office.
He waits
And waits
And waits
...
Still waiting
Gosh, how long does a lunch break take! Scar couldn't take it anymore. So he walked behind the desk and started searching for the permit he needed himself. No ones telling him what he can and can't terraform.
A throat being cleared behind him made Scar freeze. Grian stood there, eyebrow raised.
"What are you doing, Scar?"
Scar quickly hid the permit behind his back.
"Grian! How lovely that you're here! Enjoy your fishing break?"
"Scar, the permit office doesn't appreciate thievery."
"Thievery?! Grian, I would never!"
"I think it's best you leave."
Grian spoke with such a chilling calmness. Not much could unnerve the vex, but this did. It was unnatural.
"Right, yup. Leaving, that's what I'm doing."
Scar quickly left the permit office, permit stuffed securely in his inventory.
