(Hey, someone stop time,
So I could be more with you
But even If I laugh, It's like a lie
I feel sorry for myself)
The break up was certainly something for… a lot of reasons. They really thought they could last forever but fate had its own plans for what would happen with them.
“Them” being Ushijima Wakatoshi and Tendou Satori.
They were happy at first—then arguments started breaking out. They were small, minor details until they started becoming more personal with each day. At one point Goshiki had to step in before things would get bad.
Ushijima Wakatoshi was the one who finished their high school relationship, yet for some reason there was still… emptiness. Despite all the arguments (that he usually started, he now realized), he still loved Tendou Satori with everything that he had.
There were times that it was just... mundane. That's what he wanted. Now that Ushijima had it... he regretted it. In some way.
And in that way... whenever he laughed with someone, it was all a lie. His laugh was a lie, his smile was a lie---everything was a lie.
(I said it's okay, but
Don't know what to do without you
The memory of you who drew alone is blue)
"You've been coming here more often."
Ushijima just gave a nod at Kawanishi Taichi as he handed him another shot glass. Kawanishi wasn't lying: He had been coming here whenever he needed a break. He wasn't a drinker, but every now and then he would order a small shot of anything new on the bar menu. "You know... you two were pretty much happy." Kawanishi suddenly says, breaking the silence around them.
"...I know." Ushijima replied. "...and I'm confused."
"About what?"
"After ending things, I thought I'll be OK." Ushijima sighs, putting the shot glass aside. "I thought I'll be fine, since I ended it."
"It's two things." Kawanishi says and makes a peace sign with his fingers, showing the sign of number two. "Either you regret breaking up with Tendou, or you're still in that post break-up depression."
Ushijima didn't respond to that and just handed Kawanishi a small wad of cash. "I'll see you." He grunts before leaving the bar.
"Either you regret breaking up with Tendou, or you're still in that post break-up depression."
Maybe he was right? Either of those reasons could be true, but it was an answer he needed.
(I'm the only one who won't change
And I'm a new person today
It's all too bad and hard)
Ushijima missed Tendou. He missed Tendou Satori and he never realized it until everything was over: All those arguments---he had almost forgotten that even after those arguments, they would find some way to make up. All those nights in where they would just... be themselves and hold onto each other's arms...
(Don't know what to do
I don't know what to do without you)
Ushijima felt his face getting wet---Was he crying? "Ha... Satori, even when you're not with me, you still..." He tries wiping the tears away but there were still some tears falling out.
Funny how one regrets things after losing them. From the beginning it was always this...
(I said it's okay, but
Don't know what to do without you
The memory of you who drew alone is blue)
Everything was just blue.
Each of those memories were just memories faded in blue...
