Chapter Text
A child called out for help, so they answered the call.
Wait. Who’s… he knows this miserable creature! He's fighting against the prince of time who reeked havoc without rhyme, the one who stole his freedom, decades of THEIR life who’s now trying to kill this child.
Their power bubbled back to the surface, their soul shaking, filling him with a sense of justice and duty. A solid beam of golden light consumed him and ripped its way through the soulless nightmare's screen, shattering the glass and tearing it way through the beast. making molten metal drip down its face.
Suddenly, the room was filled with a blinding white light. Memories flooded past all the souls, showing them glimpses of each other. They felt a grip on their souls forcing a connection between them… as the world goes dark again.
8 pairs of eyes shot open.

March 20th 21xx 12:00am
“Owww… what just happened? Chara you there…? Chara???” Frisk whispered meekly, “What's going on? What's happened… Char?” Nothing but silence greeted the child.
Frisk thought back to that thing. Whatever had really happened, they still weren't sure themselves. Nonetheless, it was terrifying. Chara told them to stay determined and then, well, Clover. Was that his name? Frisk believed so, even though they have no way of knowing that, it felt right. Frisk knew them, but that isn’t important right now. Right now, they need to find someone who can help.
“It doesn't matter. Not now. I have to keep moving. Maybe Chara is just being quiet? Yeah, Yeah! they sometimes disappear for a bit, it's fine. I’m fine.” Their voice creaked with that last word. They felt their chest tighten, an invisible weight placed back on them. They just needed to get out of the ruins,
Sans knows about resets, maybe he knew something? Frisk thought, but they didn't feel too much hope, because even if he did, why would he help them?
Maybe Flowey could? Frisk continued to walk. As they entered the familiar cavern they expected to see an over-familiar tangle of vines with that oh-so fake grin but as they stood there waiting… Nobody came.
“Where is–”
“Oh! Hello there. Do not be afraid my child, I am Toriel, caretaker of the ruins. I pass through this place everyday to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first human to come here in a long time. Come, I will guide you through the catacombs”
“Oh, ok then.” Where was Flowey?
“ My child, I almost forgot to ask what your name is.”Toriel said, as she reached out a hand towards them. “Frisk.”
That was new, Toriel had never asked me for my name before, huh. Well, I just have to stay Determined. I’ll be fine. I always am, not even death can claim me! Thought Frisk as they took her hand and walked deeper into the ruins.

“Huh, what to do? I have some time before I need to get to Toriel place so I can explore a bit more” though Frisk knows the lay-out the ruins like the back of their hand. They had seen every inch at this point. Maybe Chara might know another secret but it's not like they've been talking much since… Frisk didn't want to think much about that run better; they should just move on and forget about it.
CRASH!!!
That sound split the silence of the ruins like a knife, “What the hell…?”They ran toward it, feet echoing against the stone, until they found a stranger. splayed across the floor. Pale, dazed, and blinking up at them with piercing blue eyes.
“There you are Frisk! Um ,I'm sorry but do you know what's going on? Also, mind helping me up?”
Frisk took a moment to respond “Yeah, I’m Frisk,” they extended a hand, “And we need to talk. Name, please?”
The girl took their hand and pulled herself up, brushing dust from her clothes. “My name is Opal!”
Frisk froze. They knew that name. They shouldn’t, but they did; deep in their soul.“Mhm, that's me,” Opal continued cheerfully. “Can’t say I’m surprised you know that. In all honesty, it seems like everyone’s connected somehow. I’m not sure how though?” She paused. Looked Frisk straight in the eyes.
“Oh! Do you feel it too?” Frisk thought for a moment.
“Ye I do feel that it's like a… pulling sensation??” they said their voice laced with uncertainty “Yea! Exactly you got it, like, I came here because I felt a pull towards you. I feel like we need to find the others, or something”
Frisk interjected, “before we do anything else, let's talk first about what happened. I know you, you're one of the souls that revolted against Flowey, right?”
“That weird plant monster thing? Yeah, that was me!” Opal said, recognition flashing across her face as the memory resurfaced to the forefront of their mind. “At the end, Clover flew off and shot Flowey with some kinda beam of energy… then I felt like I was glimpsing at people's lives. That’s how I know your name, Frisk!”
“That makes sense. I do remember a blip of people's memories but what happened after I don't know. I did not reset and it didn't really feel like one, something felt broken unnatural like that blast did something…” frisk wondered for the first time in a long time what would happen if they died right now would they be able to reset still or-
“Oh resets? The time you do right Frisk? I never had a trick like that but I know about its weird huh… Dying isn't fun, what's worse though is being stuck in that jar!!”
Frisk realised at that moment Opal should be dead. “How are you here?” There was a certain tightness to Frisk's voice when they said that and Opal looked shaken. “Frisk, how much of my story do you know?”
“I know your name and other than scattered glimpses of you I have in my mind nothing.”
Opal looked thoughtful at that statement then there was a calm in their eye, Frisk felt a feeling of patience wash over them as they took a seat on the ground. “Frisk I’m gonna tell you about my time in the ruins and what I feel happened at the barrier." They waited patiently felt like they would be willing to wait a long time
“I do want to hear your story, please tell me.”
This statement filled Frisk with a sense of determination.
“Ok I’ll tell you my story, just sit tight and listen patiently okay!” Opal's voice was soft when she said that and Frisk gave a nod of their head
“Firstly!! I never actually left the ruins while I was alive. Toriel must have delivered me and my soul to Asgore once I died but that isn't the important thing. I did have a family and a best friend on the surface. I know they never gave up on me. I know they even looked for me and gods, Leo, that idiot jumped down after me I just realised. We'll eventually find her, she feels close.”
“Leo the orange soul right? She was that one that fought with fist like POW POW”
Frisk shadowed boxed the air this action earned them a giggle from Opal. She had a cute voice. Frisk made note of that and filled it away.
“Pfff ye thats her but back to my story I lived with Toriel for about 4 months. Tori was nice to me during my stay. I showed her how to make creampuffs and she showed me how to make snail pie. It's actually pretty good!!”
“I did want to leave so I talked with Toriel. She tried to convince me to stay but I refused and well, she understood why. We went to that great door, and-.”
Opal shook at the thought of this memory and Frisk knew what had happened, they felt it in their soul.
Opal and Torial had fought and- oh? A memory settled in the forefront of Frisk's mind, not one of their own though.
Fire rained down, and unlike their ‘fights’ against Toriel these ones were far more brutal, Powerful. long before the days of throwing attacks that would miss, but rows of brilliant white flames interlaced with electric green ones rushed past her. Clear openings appearing at random intervals to give her a fighting chance.
“You foolish child, if you leave you will surely die out there, the other monsters, the King will kill you… so prove to me you can SURVIVE!!!” Toriel yelled out her voice grief ridden at the edge of tears with those last words
“TORIEL! listen to me, we don’t need to fight, we can resolve this peacefully, no one needs to get hurt” Opel pleaded, begging for Torial to listen but she just refused to, too determined to grief stricken the pain of her kids death, far too raw to even consider listening.
She had heard Asgore decree his plan and she refused to let any more kids under her die. (♓︎❒︎□︎■︎♓︎♍︎ ♓︎⬧︎ ♓︎⧫︎ ■︎□︎⧫︎)
Toriel's defence and attack increased as the flames of her grief consumed her.
Opal's resolve began to falter at this, the flames burning hotter and growing in strength as the green flames began to dissipate and the blinding white threatened to consume her whole.
A horrible inferno raged around her, In the inferno of white and greens as it burned and scorched her skin, feasting on her flesh. She caught a glimpse of Toriel's face and saw the poor old woman fall to the ground as her body shaked, tears poured out of her eyes as Toriel felt her sins crawl up her back.
Opal and Frisk came to within the ruins once more the feeling of the memory filling them with a sense of emptiness, uncertainty.
For the first time Frisk realised how terrifying it was to truly die, something they had long forgotten.
Opal looked lost, unsure of how to proceed, she took a deep breath and said, “When I saw through your memories, I saw the resets and the loads. So my theory on what happened is that when Clover shot at that thing, whatever that beast tried to reset but clover broke it? i dunno how but I have a feeling that it's over. You're not gonna be able to use that trick anymore, or anyone else for that matter”
Opal seemed to relax after it was said she got up and stretched.
SNAP, CRACKLE, POP.
“Ummm, you okay Opal?”
“Never Frisk, never.”

Chapter Text
The trip through the ruins was funnily slower. No monsters bothered them, they all seemed to shy away but the puzzles, oh oh oh those Opal really used to test Frisk's patience.
“Opal why? Just why??”
“Oh! I remember Toriel telling me that if you fall through the ground enough times it disables.”
Frisk watches the ground crumble beneath Opal. (this does not fill them with
determination. It disables after 10 times.)
“Gods this rock.” Frisk muttered “You know exactly what you need to do, Just DO IT!!!”
“Frisky, just be patient ok. Hey mister rock, can you please move forward onto that and stay there until we have pasted the spikes." The Rock proceeds to move forward and stay there waiting patiently for them to move past the spikes.
“That was the quickest I got past him, Opal you can stop with that look.”
“What look?” Opal has managed to do a very smug :3 face. (☞︎✌︎💧︎👍︎✋︎☠︎✌︎❄︎✋︎☠︎☝︎)
Frisk had a feeling that Opal would quite like a ribbon. They weren't sure why, but they knew where to get one.
“Hey Opal, wait here for a sec, let me grab something.” Frisk ran forward before Opal had the chance to respond. “How impatient. I love them though.”
“Lower left!” Frisks jumped onto the weaker section of the floor, a loud crack reverberated off the wall as they fell right through. They proceeded to pick up a faded ribbon.
Frisk climbed out of the hole falling flat on the ground. They haul themselves up and wander over to Opal and push it into her hands.
“Oh!?! I remember this ribbon. I think it was mine? Thanks Frisk, I'll put it on.”
Opal equips the ribbon [+3 Defense]. She feels cute, monsters might not hit her as hard in fights.
Frisk goes forward to the next room and switches the level. The next room is done in a matter of seconds. They had long memorised the pattern for the switches but before they took a step forward they paused.
“Opal” “ mhm yeah Frisk??”
“Ok so when we walk through this doorway, we're gonna run into Toriel…” The air in the room became frigid at this declaration. The tension was thick enough to be cut with a knife (maybe a toy knife). “She's gonna have questions when she sees you and well, what do we tell her??”
Opal opens their mouth but pauses for a second “The truth plain and simple… we just have to be brave.”
There was a soft smile on her face at this so Frisk took her hand.
Walking hand in hand with your new found friend fills you with determination.
❤️—I—I—🩵
“Oh!! My child oh… oh, um I’m sorry I left you Frisk, let's come in!” Toriel begins to walk towards Frisk but pauses as she’s about to say something Frisk stops her.“Tori, you're not seeing things, it's Opal.”
A beat of silence fills the room as Toriel gazes upon Opal. She scans her face looking for any sign this isn't one of her despair filled visions. But she sees nothing, and for some reason she believes and Oh! It's almost funny, Toriel dreemurr. The queen. The caretaker of the Ruins. The gate keeper. The killer. Now gazes upon the one she burned beyond recognition but oh, “Opal?” she thought.
Her eyes still sparkled the same soft blue, her hair that dirty brown color, she was even wearing the same clothes, that long white dress with that striped cardigan over it. Toriel ran to her, falling to her knees and embracing the girl within an iron grip, tears staring down her face soaking her fur.
“How. just how?!?” confusion laced Toriel’s voice and honestly neither of the humans were really sure how to respond so Frisk took the lead.
“Toriel, there's a lot we need to talk about. Ok, when you first saw me you felt like you knew me didn't you” Toriel paused for a second to think and then said “Yes my child, I have felt like that with some of the fallen children.”
“Ok, so, you might want to sit down for this.” Toriel takes a seat on the ground of the ruins and gestures for them to continue.
“Ok. So I have a special power, one where I can rewind time to certain points in time that I've saved” Frisk talked slowly, choosing every word carefully, deliberately watching over Toriel's face to see if she was believing this. “This isn't our first time meeting. I've lost count of how many times we met. I have lost and won battles and in the last run towards the end…” Frisk pauses, not completely sure how to go on and whether to tell them about Asgore's death, and Flowey. Luckily Opal took charge.
“Frisk battled against Asgore, won, they spared him but Flowey killed him and absorbed me and the other souls. During the fight we revolted and tried to help Frisk but one of the other souls, I think it was the one that fell before Frisk?” Opal didn't sound sure of that but continued. “He shot Flowey with some giant soul laser and next thing I know is I'm alive… When I woke up I was confused but something was pulling me out of that hallway so I wandered off and found Frisk.”
Toriel was stunned by what she had been told should be unbelievable but Opal was in front of her, she's walking. She's physical, not a ghost but a living breathing child. It's true she had felt like she knew some of the fallen children when they first met. Now she knew it wasn't a coincidence, she had known some of them. So others must have had these abilities too. (this may explain the soul traits.)
She gazed onto these children, still so young and they had been through so much. Oh, how she wished they would stay in the ruins, but deep down she knew they would not, they would leave to find their own because if Opal is alive the other fallen children must be as well. Stopping the two from finding them would be cruel. Asgore would kill them and even with this second chance the other monsters might decide to take this into their own hands being so close to their goals, so close to the sun.
“I have an idea, my children. I'm well aware that no matter what I say you will leave the ruins and go in search of the others. So, stay the night and then I will give you supplies to make this journey through the underground in the morning. The door to the Ruins will always be open, just call me ahead of time and I shall give you sanctuary. I promise”
Toriel embraced the children and led them both inside, Opal lagging behind a bit but catched up as they reached the door.
Gazing upon Toriel home ready to prepare for a new frontier fills you with determination.
❤️—I—I—🩵
Spending time with Toriel was fun, Frisk thought, they had spent more time with her in previous runs but only to learn things. They always had that nagging voice that wasn't Chara but someone else telling them to move forward during moments like this, but right now there was none of that, just silence. It was nice. Opal was not lying when she said snail pie was actually pretty good!! Oh! and very fun to make… or at least Frisk had fun.
That night Toriel had rushed them off to bed in preparation for the ‘morning’ and because there was only one bed Opal and Frisk decided to share (and cuddle). They kinda looked like 2 cats wrapped around each other.
Thick snow covered the landscape with grand trees densely packed in but within it a clearing sits with a manor standing in ruins. The once grand structure with walls now caved in, scars of a battle long fought, still littering the interior and the landscape even centuries after it occurred. Within the remains of that decrepit manor laid a girl.
She was so cold, her torn jacket wasn't helping much. Gods it hurt so bad every fiber of her body just ached. S-she remembered that creature, that horrid beast with its tendrils warping around their souls as it choked them out, its wires syphoning their power. How it used them filled them with rage to fight for it and how they revolted and how at the end.
Clover revolted and attacked directly. She had felt their anger at the beast their HATRED and it was terrifying, such raw power on display. An avatar of justice brings righteous retribution down onto the demon and now… she was here cold and alone in the snow lying where she died; lost in thought as her body shivered and convoluted as tears streamed down her face.
Suddenly something soft fell over her. A shade of blue was caught in the corner of their eye as someone took her into their arms and whispered sweet nothings, then they were whisked away, a single cornflower colored feather was left in the snow.
Opal and Frisk woke to tears streaming down their faces and Opal muttered something barely audible under her breath but just loud enough to be heard, a broken Leo fell from her lips. The second fallen child, the bravery soul, the one they had dreamed about in the snow. They were- gods, they are so scared.
“F-Frisk” Opal whimpered out her voice creaking as tears continued to form in the corners of her eyes. “W-Whats t-th the plan?”
“I…I don't know.” They struggled to keep their composure at this their body almost failed them giving in and breaking down but they had to stay determined. They hugged Opal back tighter and they rocked each other back to sleep.
Toriel woke them up the next day, it was horribly quiet as they ate their breakfast of creampuffs (🕈︎✋︎☼︎☜︎👎︎) but this seemed to help calm Opal down a fair bit. They talked about nothing and Toriel could sense the tension in the air, it was choking them out. “My children, if you wish to stay in the ruins for a few more nights, I would be more than happy to keep you”
“NO!! I… I mean, no thank you, Toriel, we need to find the others” Toriel looked taken aback but quickly composed herself. There was a sad look in her eyes full of pity, not for them, but herself.
“Well my children, last night I packed your belongings in preparation so that you may leave as soon as you wish to.” Toriel said as she led them to her room. She instructed them to wait outside. Once she emerged she had a change of outfits, 2 decently sized bags with food/healing items, a change of clothes fit for Water fall, Snowdin, Hotland and the Marshlands? She had strapped a bat to the side of Frisk bag for defence and given an army Dragger to Opal. (Frisk had no complaints about getting the bat.)
Frisk and Opal changed into clothes more suited for the cold environment of Snowdin and then Toriel led them to the door. “Frisk, Opal, remember the Ruins are always open to you and the other fallen Human I promise to house you if need be my children just call me ahead of time alright.” Both of them nod at this but as Toriel turns to push the gates open Opal goes and hugs her.
“I'm sorry for this morning Toriel we- I just had a rough night. I'm sorry for lashing out.” Toriel embraced them back and simply ruffled their heads with a silent acceptance of this apology.
“Frisk dear, do you wish to join us in this hug?” Frisk ran and jumped into Toriel's arms.
❤️—I—I—🩵
Snowdin Forest wasn’t any different from usual, but Frisk wasn’t freezing like usual and Opal looked as if she was enjoying the cold quite a bit. Frisk thought back to their idea of asking Sans about what might have happened with the timeline; they knew he had a machine of some sort in the basement so he might have more information on what happened.
Just on cue they heard a crack of a twig and they turned back to look, but as usual there was nothing. Opal looked worried but Frisk gave her a reassuring look and took her hand. As they turned forward they were met with Sans. Something was different, his pupils were gone and as Frisk went to take a step back they were met with a flash of pain and saw the wall of bones sticking out of the ground making it so… they couldn't flee.
“Hey kid, we need to talk about something serious, also mind introducing me to your buddy over there?” He wore that grin as usual but he sounded pissed. “Might want to start talking, kids, because I'm almost out of patience.” His eye turned a golden flame with steaks of blue woven in as 2 blasters joined him at his back. “Let us explain ourselves sans.” Frisk said, panicking, as they heard the blasters powering up.
“Mhm this better be a good excuse kid.”
As you face down this old friend who’s judging your sins,You’re filled with determination.

Chapter Text
March 20th, 202X. 2:00 pm.
A knife flew past Clover’s Face, again, almost nicking his cheek this time. God, this human was relentless with their assaults. He was struggling to keep up.
"Hey-"
Clover dodged a knife.
"H-"
Another came for Clover.
"Alright, you need to calm down-“
Another.
“Gods above, can’t we just talk this out!"
“SHUT UP, STOP DOGGING. JUST. FIGHT. BACK. ALREADY!”
Clover was getting pretty sick of this now. He took a deep breath and ran up to this human, narrowly dodging another swing of their knife. He gripped their wrist, pulling it behind their back as he bashed them into the wall, the knife harmlessly clattered to the ground below them.
He took a moment to catch his breath, greedily taking in air.
"Partner, why don't we settle down and have a little chat? Oh! Excuse me, the name’s Clover… Clover Moral, and who might you be? Since I don’t recognise you from that place, and you are real violent, partner, so get talkin’.”
The human was quiet; he realized they were probably thinking of how to escape. Clover tightened his grip on them, repeating what he said before, but more gently. "Please tell me. You and I both know somethin' is up, and it would just be easier workin' together versus whatever is goin' on."
“Oh, and why should I bother trusting you expressly after all you did, tch. Moral, what an ironic name don't you agree.”
“Huh? Now what are you talkin’ about?”
“Oh! Don't play dumb with me cowboy, I saw everything! Oh how much fun you must of had slaughtering them over and over, some kinda sick pleasure-”
They hit the wall hard this time. They felt a metallic taste in their mouth.
“YOU… you got no idea what you're talkin’ bout. So shut it.” He said with a low growl.
“Fine, I’ll listen to you, Clover Moral… also, something did happen at the barrier. For your information, my name is Chara, so you can stop calling me partner. Now could you let me go?”
“Ok, I’m takin’ that knife tho.”
Clover put his foot on the blade and let go of Chara. They crumpled against the wall as he picked up the knife that had clattered to the ground earlier. He pocketed it and he pushed some of his magic into his eye, then checked the weapon.
“Real Knife”-Weapon {ATK.99}
Thank God almighty this thing didn’t hit him, he thought, it would have spelt disaster. He turned back around and looked at Chara for the first proper time, scanning them for anything (they looked tired). They looked dangerous.
♥️—l—l—💛
Chara obviously didn't trust this human one bit. They knew what he was truly like, and they were not going to fall for any of his manipulation, pretending to be kind and a hero, a martyr after what it did to those monsters. Humans would never change. Frisk was just an outlier, an anomaly, the one good thing humanity had to offer, an Angel. They were so kind and, god, Chara didn't deserve them, they had hurt them so badly.
This human thought this vile creature, acting nice, pretended to care about those monsters. God knows how many genocides he did for fun, well, for justice as he would claim, disgusting. There was no justification for his actions, it wasn’t like what had happened with Frisk and them. No, there was no way, he was just a cold-blooded murder. (🕈︎☟︎✡︎ ☹︎✋︎☜︎ ❄︎⚐︎ ✡︎⚐︎🕆︎☼︎ 💧︎☜︎☹︎☞︎ 👍︎☟︎✋︎☹︎👎︎)
“Hey Chara, come on! I’ll help you up,” Clover reached his hand down to them. That look on his face was so soft and calm… nice. This manipulative bastard really thought they were that stupid. Probably saw them as some defenceless girl he could use and discard, like all those on the surface. They DESPIED that, but he was the one in control, so they would play along until they got their knife back.
“Thank you, Clover. My apologies, I was merely scared, is all.”
“Nah, that's okay Chara. I was freakin’ out when I woke up, too.” A dry laugh fell from his mouth. He was tense, concerned, worried, and understanding. What a joke, he’s a good actor, that’s for sure. (Maybe he did care, only if he did about monsters.)
Chara took his hand and hoisted themself up, stumbling while trying to find their footing and fell forward into Clover's arm.
“Oh! You okay there, par- Chara, I mean.”
Clover, he's helping me? Balance?
“... Thank you, Clover” He was so confusing and nic- no, NO! It's just an act. I saw his memories, the senseless slaughter, his… his (there was a nagging voice in the back of their mind, reminding them of other times: ones with a draining guilt they felt pooling in their guts)
"Chara, listen. I know you don't trust me, so let me explain myself real quick: the memories you saw were true."
A beat of silence fills the room at this declaration, and the tension rises.
“I'm well aware, Clover, so what's your excuse?”
“Don’t appreciate your tone, partner, but here goes nothin’.”
♥️—l—l—💛
“I was trapped in an infinite loop of resets, one where I would never win, and one where he could never beat me. Gods, can you imagine bein’ tortured for centuries, so much time lost in an endless battle, a cycle of pointless, senseless agony.” Clover’s voice began to crack and he turned away from them. He took a deep breath and continued.
“I didn't remember resets, saves and loads, fine, but I struggled hard with resets, though, I remembered enough. Over time I got faster, more efficient, angrier, began learning from watching people and senses of deja vu guided me. I became stronger, smarter, but more vengeful. It ain’t surprising what comes clearest in my mind back then was the deaths, the attacks. My mind was clouded by anger because I died because I was being used because those kids never got justice.” Another deep breath.
“So I fought and killed and killed and the dust choked me out, hehe.” There was no joy in this laugh, it was empty, hollow, no soul present.
“I’m disgusted with myself. I hurt friends, possible family, and destroyed others. I won. I killed Asgore. Stood his ground but no match, I absorbed his soul, took the other and left. My time on the surface was short, a week, maybe two; I spent my time around the mountain as my memories of the resets came back slowly, slowly and I wanted to die. Marlet, Starlo, Dalv, Ceroba, all good people, good honest people, and I killed them all in cold blood. So this time I promised myself to do it right, not vengeance for the fallen but bring justice to the monsters.”
Clover's voice creaked again and he bit back tears.
“I… I did a reset, a true reset came back, didn't kill anyone and gave up my soul. Obviously there is more to it but that ain’t the important part. Chara, you don't gotta believe or trus-”
“I am uncertain why Clover, but I do. I'm unsure and I can't understand why but I do.”
Chara looked over Clover and they believed them, sure as hell didn’t trust them, but believed the story. Felt their regret and shame wash over them both the sadness, guilt and disgust at what had happened. Maybe Clover would understand them. Maybe, just maybe, they could be trusted like Frisk. (Maybe it’s just an act)
♥️—l—l—💛
New Home was nice. It was comfortable, surprisingly cold, like an autumn breeze in a way that reminded Clover of the surface. They looked back to Chara who was following a few paces behind them with their head hanging down. Chara confused them, they weren't one of the souls they could feel that but there was a familiar energy about them they belonged and an unsaid power bubbling within Chara’s soul? (💣︎☟︎💣︎ ✡︎☜︎💧︎ ✌︎ 💧︎⚐︎🕆︎☹︎)
“Huh, someone say somethin’?”
“Mhm, what Clover?”
“Nothin’, just thought I heard somethin’.”
“It’s just the city.”
“Sooo Chara, where we headin’? Because we don’t really have a plan”
“We’re heading to Snowdin Town, or the Ruins, to find Frisk.”
“Huh? Who’s Frisk?” That name did feel familiar.
“They’re my little sibling, if anything, they're in those areas right now, maybe even heading here, actually”
“You have a sibling?” Something felt off at that. “Well they’re not blood, but, if a reset happened they would be back there, I’d imagine”
“How are you here then? I don’t imagine Asgore, or any monster, would let a human live when being so close to their goal, the sun.”
“I was dead…”
“Asgore killed you wh-”
“No! It's… It’s an old story, maybe another time. I was Frisk's ghastly companion through the underground, guiding them and helping them was amusing, then you happened. That blast of raw power, this reset, wouldn't be surprised if other were alive w-”
“We’re gonna find them” Clovers voice was commanding, confident, this was a promise and an invite.
“Who said anything about us, Moral, I'm just looking for my sibling. If I run into the others I’ll just send them your way.” Chara said this with an air of confidence and disinterest in Clover’s mission.
“Fine by me, your majesty, I'm used to working kinda solo. Maybe I can find a few old friends in Snowdin to help.” Clover was annoyed by Chara’s remarks but ultimately they weren't all that surprised.
“I’ma need a weapon, wonder if they got any gun stores in these parts.”
“If you're planning to acquire a weapon, may I have my knife back, Moral?” Chara ran up beside Clover and reached their left hand out.
“Ha! Nah, I don't trust you that much, Chara, you can do a lot of damage with that.” Chara almost looked like they were pouting at that, funny.
The air thickened around them. Clover saw in the corner of his eye a bright blue spear heading in their direction. They grabbed Chara, pulling them both down to the floor as it missed his head by mere inches. Clover got up, pulling Chara up with them, handing them the knife in the process as a heroine approached standing tall.
“HA THERE YOU ARE, YOU COWARD AND LOOKS LIKE YOU’VE GOT A LOVER WITH YOU AS WELL.” Undying roared out holding her helmet in one hand and a grand spear in another. “I, UNDYING, WILL STRIKE YOU HUMANS DOWN AND SEND YOU BACK TO HELL FOR YOUR MASSACRE IN LOWER SNOWDIN.” Hundreds of spears filled the sky as they came raining down on them.
A true hero has appeared; you are filled with a sense of Justice and Determination.
