What if we made a mistake?

Summary:

Gihun and Inho dated while they were in high school and in college, before breaking up before each of them wanted to pursue an acting career. Both of them have always regretted it and have always checked the other's career, but they have never talked since their break-up over twenty years ago. What will happen when an event get them both on the red carpet at the same time?

Well.. hi!

I haven't written in fics in over 10 years and it's my first publication on ao3 so i'm pretty lost but I'm also crazy excited so.. yay!
English isn't my first language, i'll try and avoid any mistakes, but I can't promise anything.

For now, this fiction rated "general audiences", but it might change in the future. If so, it will be written at the beginning of the chapter.

Chapter 1: Introduction

Chapter Text

The characters

  • Hwang In-ho: a famous actor, usually stars in drama, has already won different awards and one Oscar.
  • Seong Gi-hun: a famous actor, usually stars in comedies, has already written his own movie. Has already won various awards.
  • Hwang Jun-ho: has been a police officer for many years. He’s also In-ho’s biggest fan.
  • Cho Sang-woo: a famous actor, usually stars in comedies, has already played alongside Gi-Hun and various movies. Their bromance is well known and appreciated by the fans.
  • Park Jung-bae: Gi-hun's manager and best friend.
  • Kang No-eul: In-ho's manager and close friend.
  • Kim Jun-hee: actress. She has been acting for a few years, and she had her big break a few months ago.

 

The relationships

  • In-ho and Gi-hun have dated when they were teenagers for four years. They broke up when both tried to pursue an acting carrier, because they thought they would keep each other from being successful
  • In-ho and Jun-ho are brothers (In-ho is the oldest). They have not always been close but lately, they’ve been trying to make things work between them
  • In-ho and No-eul met in college, when In-ho and Gi-hun were still together. After the break up, In-ho and her got closer,  becoming close friends. She's also his manager.
  • Gi-hun and Sang-woo are best friends. They met while working on the same movie many years ago and directly became friends. 
  • Gi-hun and Jung-bae met in middle school, they directly hit it off and became close friends. Jung-bae is also the one who decided to become Gi-hun's manager
  • Gi-hun and Kim Jun-hee met at various events. They quickly got along and, even though they haven't had the opportunity to work together, they both hope they'll be able to.
