Chapter Text
It was a normal evening, a meeting was held in the conference room by Batman. The meeting was mostly about the past mission reports, blah blah blah. Everyone was barely paying attention, the only ones paying close attention were WW, Superman and MM. GL was playing with his ring while Flash kept glancing at the clock, the others were just trying not to fall asleep.
Shortly afterwards, Batman stood up from his chair after discussing their past mission reports. "I also have to mention that today is a nomination day, choose a new hero to join the leagues." Batman muttered as he lifted his clipboard up. That got everyone's attention, Flash immediately perked up and lifted his hand up, waving madly. "I have a request!" Flash quirked up, he was really eager to nominate someone. Batman turned his head towards, his white lens eyes narrowing a bit which made Flash swallow a bit as he slowly lowered his hand before clearing his throat.
"I have a guy, he's Wally's best friend from what I heard and he's a good guy. He works down in Bludhaven and is also a vigilante like Bats." Flash paused a bit before he continued, "He goes by the name Nightwing if I'm correct?" Cyborg spoke up afterwards. "I can back his vote up, I've worked with the guy before and he's very skilled, and flexible. Also a brain and brawn guy with great hacking skills." Flash smiled in appreciation.
Superman quickly spoke up after Cyborg, "I think I can back his vote up too. I've met Nightwing before and he's amazing, very skilled and focused. He's also very nice and named after Krypton's legend." Flash smiled a bit before he began to speak again, "Wally also mentioned that he has no superpowers and he has a tight cap for his identity, not even Wally knows! I think? I'm not too sur—" GL, having heard enough had interrupted Flash. "Alright, we heard enough. All I hear is that this 'Nightwing' guy is just a copy of Spooky except he's more sunshine-y than broodingly." GL muttered as he rolled his eyes.
MM raised his hand up before lowering it down and speaking, "I say, having another human on the team would be nice, it'd be better to have more average humans than one." WW shortly cut into the conversation too, "I agree with J'onn, Nightwing seems like a great guy and I'm sure he'll be much help in the leagues." WW smiled.
While the others discussed about Nightwing, Batman had tensed up at the mention of his name and it didn't go unnoticed. Batman immediately interrupted the discussion, "Enough, Nightwing won't be joining the leagues" small groans of protest were heard afterwards (Mostly from Flash and GL). Superman quickly spoke up in protest, "Why not? Nightwing could be a good addition to our team." Batman grunted as he narrowed his eyes at Superman who gulped. "Nightwing is busy with his own city and his team." Batman replied in a gruff tone. WW rolled her eyes as she spoke, "It's our vote against yours, Batman. If he accepts the invitation, it's final." Batman let out a scowl at that, he huffed as he begrudgingly wrote Nightwing's name down.

The nomination has ended for today and the lucky ones are Nightwing, Green Arrow and Black Canary, the others had planned to go to their cites and find them to inform that they had been invited to join the leagues. GL, Flash, MM goes to Star City to find Canary and GA while Batman(forced along); Superman and WW goes to Bludhaven to find Nightwing.
