Izuku didn’t want to be a vigilante but he didn’t want a lot of things, he didn’t want to be quirkless he didn’t want to be bullied he didn’t want his mom to freaking die to a stupid villain but he doesn't get what he wants life hates him but that’s waaaayyyyyy to much drama to unpack especially right now he has a very small issue and that issue happened to be named Eraserhead and Izuku didn't want to talk but his hands were tied... literally just to his sides he just needs to get away he already almost outran the pro he could make it he knows this
“hey kid… You stopped squirming a little bit ago did you pass out I mean you do look malnourished enough to-"
"I am not malnourished, thank you very much I'm just fine! What on earth would give you the idea that I was malnourished?" how could a hero suggest something like it honestly made him mad he's been doing incredible given the situation. The hero seemed to think about that for a second before deciding to change the subject smart move Izuku thought.
"you are surprisingly good at fighting for how old I assume you are but aren't your parents worried you can't be older then 13 right" He had to resist the urge to laugh right in this heros face
"listen up eraserhead I highly doubt my mom would care, also I'm 15"
"yeah well thats not much better and what about your dad-" the hero shut up for a second before opening his mouth again almost painfully slowly this time
"How do you know my hero name?" the hero had actually not said his name yet, shit
"ummm lucky guess" he shrugs as much as he can with the capture weapon still restricting his moment
"Kid are you really in the position to be lying to me"
"I umm study heros in my free time I wanted to be a hero when I was younger"
"then why didn't you apply to a hero school"
"because I... I'm..." He took a deep breath what the hero said earlier it was right there there's no point in lying "I'm quirkless" here it comes the heros going to say it Eraserhead the Eraserhead he's going to call him a freak a worthless useless freak
"And?"
"what do you mean and? I said I'm quirkless" this is not the reaction he was expecting at all
"you're quirkless so what, what does that have to do with being a hero?"
"I can't ”
“So what why does his opinion matter” Eraserhead is just saying random things, right there's no way he means it so why...
“Kid you're doing that thing again are you still with me problem child”
“uhh yeah… Wait what did you just call me?"
"I called you problem child if you want me to stop I'm going to need a name"
"umm just call me Deku"
"well Deku I can already tell your stubborn and I know I'm going to see you out here again so just... stay safe bye kid."
And the hero hesitantly let him go and left Izuku alone, he should have arrested Izuku for being incompetent (even though he's technically not breaking the law, because how can you use your quirk legally if you don't have one) but he wasn't
