Uhtred beer almost went the wrong way: “Do not remind me: Skade!”
“Now, she was moon touched!”
They laughed.
“Do you remember the first time we went after her?” asked Sihtric: “When she was hiding in that church?”
“Yes, sure!” exclaimed Uhtred: “We sent Osferth to distract the Danes guarding her, while we got in positions.”
“Of course I remember!” added Finan: “He made that whole speech: ‘I’m going to smite you’, or something like that! I will never forget that! Oh, how much I miss my Baby Monk!”
