Leekyung was halfway through grabbing a towel when Dawon appeared by the bathroom door, eyes wide and hopeful.
“Leekyung,” he started dramatically, “we have to shower together.”
Leekyung blinked. “…Excuse me?”
Dawon nodded solemnly, like this was a serious matter of national concern. “There’s a water drought. We have to conserve it. It’s the responsible thing to do.”
Leekyung crossed his arms. “Uh-huh. And who told you that?”
“The government!” Dawon said way too quickly. “It’s a rule now. Everyone’s doing it.”
Leekyung raised an eyebrow. “Ok then, show me.”
Dawon hesitated. “Show… you?”
“Yeah,” Leekyung said, deadpan. “Show me this announcement.”
There was a long pause. Dawon clung to his arm, eyes darting nervously. “…There’s not enough water for everyone, so we have to shower together! It’s just something that happens!”
Leekyung stared at him in disbelief. “Where did you even learn that?”
“On my phone! It’s right here!” Dawon blurted out, patting his pockets.
“Then show me,” Leekyung said, holding out a hand.
And that was the moment Dawon’s survival instincts kicked in. He yeeted his phone across the room like it had personally betrayed him.
“WHAT PHONE?! I DON’T HAVE A PHONE!!” he yelled.
Leekyung blinked at the dramatic display, then burst out laughing. “You’re unbelievable.”
Dawon pouted, clinging tighter to him. “So that’s a yes, right?”
Leekyung sighed, trying and failing to hide his smile. “You’re ridiculous.”
Dawon grinned triumphantly. “I’ll take that as a maybe.”
