Work Text:
Sana and Jihyo had fought.
This one fact was very apparent to all their band members, with the way Sana kept throwing Jihyo dirty looks across the room, and the way Jihyo avoided eye contact each time.
The cause?
A chicken nugget.
Just a day ago, the two had been as per normal (aka all over one another), sharing food. When it had come down to the last chicken nugget, Jihyo had been too preoccupied with her thoughts (or with Sana’s body; who knew) and had munched it down without a second thought.
Sana, who had been in the process of reaching for the nugget, had stared, shocked, at her girlfriend as she shamelessly chewed and swallowed. Sana had stomped off in a huff then, leaving Jihyo bewildered at what had just happened.
Since then, Sana hadn’t spoken a word to Jihyo, even throughout their first day of concert in Japan. Usually, the two would interact and sometimes even PDA right there on the stage since they knew that their fans would just dismiss it as fanservice. But no. Sana had firmly stuck to all the other members’ sides, still her normal bubbly self.
After they had gotten off the stage, thanking their staff and band members, Sana had walked off and changed without a word, without even a glance at Jihyo, who by now was shooting puppy eyes at her every few seconds.
However, it shouldn’t have come as a shock that even though Sana was clearly still ignoring Jihyo, she still waited for Jihyo to change out so they could return back to the hotel in the same car. As Jihyo finished up, Sana nonchalantly scrolled her phone, denying it when some of the staff members asked if she was waiting for Jihyo. Once Jihyo had changed, Sana had shot one look at her, grabbing Jihyo’s hand and stomping off to their waiting car.
She didn’t talk to Jihyo the entire way back to the hotel, nor in their shared hotel room. The two were the only members who always insisted on staying in the same room whenever they went overseas, and no one opposed them because, well, it was Sana and Jihyo. The two who had been dating for quite a few years already, unknownst to all their fans. If there were only two people in the entire world who loved one another, it would definitely be those two.
So, yes, although Sana was angry over something so trivial, Jihyo found it endearing all the same. She was nothing but confident in her standing with her girlfriend, anyway. Besides, even though Sana hadn’t entertained Jihyo’s request for cuddles that night, when Jihyo had woken up in the middle of night, the other girl had still been draped fully over her, snoring peacefully. Jihyo had smiled then, pulling the covers up and placing a soft kiss to the top of Sana’s head before falling back into slumber.
When Jihyo had woken up the next morning, they were still in the same position, Sana’s arm haphazardly thrown over Jihyo’s waist, head tucked snugly under Jihyo’s. So cute.
Jihyo had let herself enjoy the familiar weight of her girlfriend for a few minutes before Sana began to rouse, blinking sleepily before letting out a yawn. When she had realised that she had unconsciously ended up in the usual position that the two normally woke up in, Sana had sprung away from Jihyo, glaring daggers at her once again.
“Aw, come on, baby. I know you were enjoying it too. I’m sorry for eating your last nugget, okay?” Jihyo said, missing Sana’s warmth already.
Sana had huffed, striding off to the bathroom, purposely making sure Jihyo had an ample view of her legs and ass (which she would not let Jihyo touch, until much, much later).
That day, as the group went about preparing for the concert, Sana had continued purposely giving Jihyo the cold shoulder, and all Jihyo could do was stare after her longingly. After all, she had never been good at initiating physical contact, no matter how much she wanted it, especially from Sana.
Their second concert in Japan had gone smoothly, the stadium filling up ridiculously fast. As usual, they had fun on stage, and being the professional that Jihyo was, she managed to hide her pining for the girl currently holding a purple laburi.
All was well, until the encore. It was usually during the encore or slightly before that that members got to actually interact with one another and the fans, and was the most anticipated part of the concert for most fans. If Jihyo were to tell the truth, it was also what she had been anticipating the entire day, because that was the time that she could go up to Sana and do whatever she liked with her, and no matter how mad Sana was, she was forced to go along with it.
How wrong Jihyo was.
Sana seemed intent on making Jihyo suffer, purposely putting distance between them from the very beginning. Everytime Jihyo took one step toward Sana, Sana took two steps back, clinging on to a random member like her life depended on it.
Jihyo wanted to just shout, “Sana if you don’t kiss me right now I’m going to do it first”, but she knew better than that, and determinedly held herself back. One day might not have seemed to be a long time for most people, but for Jihyo, one day without Sana’s touch and Sana’s smiles was one day too many. She was just down bad like that.
It was when Sana announced to the entire stadium that Dahyun was Sana’s “Dahyun-chan” that Jihyo decided, okay, they would definitely be talking today.
Now, it was to note that Jihyo very rarely ever got jealous, because she knew that Sana saw all their other band members as family. She knew that she was the only one in Sana’s heart, and the fanservice seldom affected her, since even she had to do it too. But with the way Sana was persistently ignoring Jihyo, hugging Nayeon, then Mina, then standing just a little too close to Dahyun, Jihyo was pretty sure this was ample grounds for her to get jealous.
She knew better than to lay her claim on her girlfriend in public, of course, especially since the other members had probably just assumed this was another one of Sana’s antics or fanservice. Perhaps Jihyo could lay a very subtle hand on Sana’s waist when they took a picture with their fans later on in the encore. Sana couldn’t move away then, and their standing positions for the picture had been fixed since the start. Surely nothing could go wong now…
And once again, she was wrong.
Sana had purposely changed her position, so instead of squatting next to her girlfriend, she now was next to Mina. And Jihyo could only watch miserably as Sana stood next to Jeongyeon, grinning happily.
Stupid chicken nugget…
Jihyo was immensely glad once the concert had ended, heading backstage with a pep in her step. She wouldn’t let Sana escape this time; after all, she knew a few of Sana’s weaknesses that would surely make her fold.
However, before that, they had to take a group picture first. Jihyo let Sana have her fun standing next to Jeongyeon, smiling at her happily like they were the only two people in the world. Onces would go crazy over that, Jihyo thought, annoyed, even as she smiled for the picture.
The moment that their staff members announced that they were free to go, Jihyo swiftly grabbed Sana’s hand before she could escape again. A sound of protest escaped Sana’s mouth, but Jihyo pulled Sana into a changing room, grabbing their change of clothes from the rack and firmly closing the door behind them.
Then they were alone, and Jihyo was finally within a meter of Sana.
“Change. Then we’re going back, and I’m going to make you forget why you were even mad at me in the first place.” Jihyo said, sounding a tad demanding. Sana found it insanely hot, not that she would ever admit it in her current state.
Sana huffed out but did as Jihyo said, changing out quickly. Jihyo did the same, eyes not leaving Sana’s body for even a second. Jihyo noticed the slight blush that climbed up Sana’s cheeks at Jihyo’s rapt attention, but it wasn’t like this was something new.
The two finished changing quickly, Jihyo clasping Sana’s hand in her own to make sure she didn’t do something silly, like ask to go in the same car as Momo.
Once in the car, Sana attempted to free her hand from Jihyo’s grip, but Jihyo held on, letting their hands dangle in the space between their seats.
“God, you two are insufferably cute. When’s the wedding, again?” Their manager asked as she climbed into the drivers’ seat.
Jihyo chuckled as a form of response, watching as Sana swallowed nervously. The two hadn’t actually discussed marriage yet, but they both knew that it would happen sooner or later. Now, it was just the question of who would do it first…
Jihyo briefly entertained the thought of proposing right now, while Sana was mad, just so that she could beat Sana to it. Sana wouldn’t say no, of course, but Jihyo would just find it amusing to watch as Sana broke the facade that she was mad at Jihyo.
Sana pretended to struggle for a while to free her hand, but when it seemed to be futile, she just let it be, tightening her own hold on Jihyo’s hand. It wasn’t like she was enjoying it, or anything…
Jihyo’s smug smile told Sana all that she needed to know, but she didn’t comment on it. She wouldn’t speak a word to her annoying girlfriend until she absolutely had to.
.
.
.
Once back in their hotel room and showered, Sana sat in their bed, mindlessly scrolling as she waited for Jihyo.
When the pattering of water finally stopped and Jihyo stepped out in nothing but a towel, Sana quickly averted her eyes.
Don’t look, don’t look, don’t look. I am the master of my mind.
If Sana looked, she would definitely immediately be awestruck, as always, and she could not have herself looking like that, especially at a time like this.
Don’t look, don’t look, don’t- Ah, shit.
How could Sana not look when her gorgeous, gorgeous, girlfriend just stood there, clearly with intent to make her lose her mind? Her eyes, with a mind of their own, traveled up, and Oh.
All Sana could see was skin; tanned and golden and beautiful skin. Oh, and Jihyo’s legs. Without breaking eye contact with Sana, Jihyo removed her towel very slowly, before using it to dry her hair.
Was Sana bewitched? Why couldn’t she look away? Sana kind of felt like a pervert, ogling Jihyo’s body so shamelessly. Sana could do little else but watch and trace the droplets of water down Jihyo’s body, down and down and-
“Like what you see?” Jihyo asked, eyes glinting teasingly.
Sana’s eyes shot back to Jihyo’s face. Of course, this was far from Sana’s first time seeing Jihyo naked, but she’d never had to resist this incredible temptation this badly before.
Unfortunately, since Sana’s eyes had been brought up, she had no choice but to see Jihyo’s biceps as she reached up to dry her hair. Had the girl been going to the gym every single day, or something? Sana’s mouth watered as Jihyo’s arm flexed, successfully making Sana lose every single logical thought in her mind.
No wonder Jihyo could always lift Sana so effortlessly, whether it was outside, or…otherwise.
“Uh.” Sana muttered, tearing her eyes away from Jihyo and back to her phone, which now looked so boring in comparison.
Jihyo’s responding deep chuckle left Sana feeling something she was no stranger to, but she tried to tamper it down. So what if Jihyo sounded incredibly sexy just laughing? Sana had no business getting worked up over that.
When the bed dipped and Sana’s phone got gently removed from her hand, she looked up to see Jihyo settling in beside her, and was that Sana’s shirt?
“Is that my shirt?” Sana asked, trying to sound accusatory, but in reality she found the sight of Jihyo in her clothes extremely adorable. And hot.
Jihyo smiled, nodding innocently.
“Now that you’re talking to me, are you ready to forgive me yet? There’s Onces on Twitter saying that we’re divorced, you know.” Jihyo said, inching closer to Sana.
“I haven’t proposed yet. You can’t divorce me if we aren’t even married, so suck it up. Cause you’re going to be stuck with me for the next many years, don’t even think about filing for divorce.” Sana rambled, knowing that even though she sounded incredibly lame, she was telling the truth.
Sana turned away, thinking that the conversation would end there, but no.
Suddenly Jihyo was looming over her, effectively pinning her to the bed. She looked at Sana like she wanted something from her, which was equal parts terrifying and thrilling. And hot, of course.
“Uh-uh. You’re going to tell me that you’re no longer mad at me, and that you miss me. If not, neither of us are going to sleep.” Jihyo said, settling her body gently on top of Sana’s.
Sana rolled her eyes, only half-attempting to shove Jihyo off her. She felt safe, not that she would admit it to Jihyo. With Jihyo and her in a position like this, it almost felt like Jihyo would protect her from whatever the world threw at her. And she probably would, not that Sana would ever let her, because she’d rather die than see something bad happen to Jihyo.
“Fine, fine. I’m not mad.” Sana mumbled, all the faux fight leaving her body. Of course she had missed Jihyo’s touch as much as Jihyo had missed hers, nevermind that she had been the one to initiate it in the first place.
“What else?” Jihyo asked, booping Sana’s nose gently.
Ugh. So persistent. So annoying.
Instead of responding verbally, Sana leaned up, pressing a kiss to Jihyo’s soft lips, satisfied at the way they melted under her own instantly.
When they broke apart, Sana replied, “I miss you. You and your stupid rambling and noisiness and need for me to be touching you twenty-four seven. Even though it’s only been a day. Also, I’m on my period.”
Jihyo’s faced changed with understanding, a look of incredible fondness appearing.
“Aww, you need me to make you feel better, baby?” Jihyo asked, rolling off Sana and gesturing for them to switch positions.
Sana supposed there wasn’t much point in pretending she was mad any longer, so she decided to just stop. After all, she was probably more needy than Jihyo was.
“Yeah.” Sana muttered, climbing onto Jihyo, arms wrapping around her torso tightly.
Jihyo hummed in contentment. “So you missed my need for you to be touching me twenty-four seven, huh? You sure that's not all you?” She teased, beginning to run her hand through Sana's hair in the way that made her feel incredibly sleepy.
“You be careful, Park Jihyo. I'm still mad at you.” Sana warned, even as she burrowed further into Jihyo. So comfortable.
“Uh-huh…definitely…” Jihyo chuckled, looking down at Sana whose eyes were now closed as she lay on Jihyo's chest.
They lay there in comfortable silence for a few minutes, and just as Jihyo was about to fall asleep, Sana's eyes shot open.
“You flirt with Momo, or any of the others again, and you're sleeping on the floor.” Sana told Jihyo, lifting her head ever so slightly to glare at her girlfriend, who was currently confused.
“Huh?” Jihyo asked. The only person she had ever wanted to flirt with was Sana, and she hadn't flirted with any of the members, as far as she remembered. Okay, maybe only a long time ago, when she'd wanted to make Sana jealous just so that she could tell if Sana liked her back, or not.
It had worked, Sana's jealousy being incredibly palpable in the days after. But that was in the past, and now Sana was looking at her like she had done something wrong.
“You were flirting with Momo today.” Sana grumbled, laying back down, arms wrapping themselves even tighter around her girlfriend’s body.
“I was?” Jihyo questioned, trying to recall it.
“Yeah. You were taking pictures of her with all the laburis. Not slick.” Sana said.
Jihyo laughed aloud. “That?”
Sana glared at her again, which would have been much scarier if Sana’s hair wasn’t all mussed up and she was adorably wrapped up in Jihyo.
“Okay, okay, sorry. I’ll only flirt with you from now on. I mean, besides fanservice. And you, too. Better watch those hands when it comes to touching Dahyun or any of the others.” Jihyo warned, though her words had zero signs of threat.
Sana nodded obediently, eyes closing. “Let’s go to sleep, baby. It’s been too long since we cuddled.” She mumbled.
Jihyo wanted to tell Sana that it had only been a day, but even to her, it had felt way too long. So instead she nodded, pressed a kiss to Sana’s forehead, and closed her eyes.
Looks like that damned chicken nugget wouldn’t be winning today.
