Work Text:
The birds sing their lullaby, a calming tune slowly luring them into the land of the dreams, aided by the gentle swaying of the wind under the shade of the trees.
The shadows dance above them, but neither pay them any mind, nothing could pull them away from the other, fully enraptured by being in the arms of their lover.
Their chests rise and fall in perfect harmony, the hums beneath their breath a beautiful symphony, one only for their ears.
His hand rests above her head, tenderly stroking the golden locks, while the other remains interlocked with hers.
A butterfly's kiss finds it place on her skin, and her eyes flutter towards him, hooded bright blue eyes gazing into dark auburn ones, both equally filled with wonder and adoration.
It ends as quick as it begins. A peck on the lips leaves them blushing and breathless, eyes averted as they turn to anything but the other just for a moment.

Their awkwardness lasts for all of a second. The ghost of a smile finding it's place on the top of her head, as his low voice whispers in her ear. "I love you."
