“Welcome to the world of Pokémon!” A video opens on a well-dressed man with messy hair. “I’m Leon, the former Champion of the Galar region, and I’ve partnered with the Alola region’s Professor Kukui to bring you all: the Pokémon Elites League!” The video cuts to an Alolan man in a lab coat. “Alola, the name’s Kukui. Leon and I have organised a tournament of over sixty top-tier trainers, and we’ve sent invitations ‘cross the globe, from Kanto to Unova to Paldea!” The video then cuts back to Leon. “Couldn’t have said it better, Kukui. The tournament will be held in Wyndon Stadium here in the Galar region, and I speak for us both when I say we can’t wait.” It cuts to Leon and Kukui standing together in front of a window, overlooking Wyndon from the top floor of the Battle Tower. Leon turns to the camera and enthusiastically says “To all we’ve invited, we hope to see you there, and to everyone else, we look forward to sharing these awesome battles with you.” Kukui adds “We promise they’ll hit you like a Thunderbolt outta the sky!”
