—- the beginning ( it's still a wip I'm sorryyyyyy T-T)
Kakashi’s pov:
Kakashi was wandering around as Sukea in the forest, looking for any clues about where the Akatsuki hideout might be. He was aware that it might take him a while to find something the second he accepted the mission but never in all his years of being a shinobi would he have guessed that it would take him two weeks to stumble across an Akatsuki member.
So again he was wandering around aimlessly, almost considering abandoning the mission that changed when he spotted somebody in front of the Dango shop.
The guy was wearing an orange mask which revealed only his left eye. Kakashi got closer with every step. And remember Tsunade words “ kakashi your mission is to become an official member of the organization and share any new information with Konoha immediately.”
Kakashi stopped in front of him. Tobi was sitting on a bench looking a bit up. He didn’t back away or disappear, which made Kakashi's job of approaching him a lot easier.
“ Hello sir. Allow me to introduce myself.“ Tobi then put his hand on his chin and he looked like he was thinking but Kakashi ignored it “ I’m Sukea. A former shinobi. I left my village due to the disagreements on the values the shinobis had. I’m aware of which organization you belong to and I would like to be one of the members in the near future.”
Then Tobi started to chuckle and Kakashi raised a brow. Why is that guy chuckling? Is he nuts? “ Looks like you found the wrong one to ask… uh or the right one. Tobi is a lot of fun. I might be the best member.” He pointed at himself with his thumb. Kakashi looked at him even more confused now but shook it off “ umm hi Tobi, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Could you perhaps lead me to the other members of the akatsuki?” Tobi stood up with a swift motion.
“ Sure. We gotta walk a lot though” Tobi said “ just follow me.“
As they headed to the Akatsuki hideout Tobi kept talking a lot for someone who didn’t even know who Sukea was. Weird guy. in many ways than only one. Kakashi thought the Akatsuki members would have an ominous appearance but this guy… sure he looked somewhat dangerous. His personality though was everything but dangerous.
Does the Akatsuki pick up any guy who wants to join?
Whatever it was, it wasn’t essential for his mission.
Tobi’s pov:
So his name is Sukea. Maybe I should test that guy before I take him to the hideout. Well it’s not like he could be a threat anyway, he would be outnumbered. But there is something about that guy which bothers me a lot. Ah- the irony of life I suppose.
That face.
He resembles Rin quite a lot. Tsk-
“ Hmmm, I’m curious about sukea-san."
" Why would a guy like you join the Akatsuki? Don’t you know that it’s dangerous? You can die you know!? I almost died several times. It’s not as funny as it seems.” Tobi crossed his arms while walking ahead of Sukea.
Sukea tilted his head to the side and gave Tobi a dumb look before answering
“ I’m - aware of that Tobi . . . ” He put his hands on his hip “ although you made me curious too now. What exactly do you mean with a guy like me?”
Oh great. Tobi wanted to know more about Sukea but the plan backfired. It seems like Sukea isn’t dumb, he is the type who can easily avoid confrontations by asking questions.
“ how shall tobi put this into words? You look like a man who doesn’t fight a lot.” Well Tobi wasn’t lying. Sukea indeed looked like a guy who could take over the job of a housewife. He didn’t look dangerous at all, in fact he looked like he could invite everyone he meets to a cup of tea.
“ I’m kind of offended, Tobi. Did you never learn to judge a book by its cover? My appearance might only be a trick to fool the opponent. the more one looks less dangerous the more that someone gets underestimated by the enemy.”
Tobi chuckled “you’re right”

When Sukea and Tobi finally reached the Akatsuki hideout the air felt thick. Sukea tried his best to keep his posture as casual as possible while entering but he was on high alert.
From the shadows, a tall figure emerged, it was pain, the leader. “ name yourself”
Bowing slightly in front of pain , Kakashi answered “ sukea. A former shinobi. My purpose in life was taken away from the cruelty of this world and now I am seeking for a new one. I was hoping to find it here.”
“Purpose? here?” Konan stepped forward “your purpose is not relevant. You can do as you please as long as you can offer us something and prove yourself worthy, most importantly follow our orders without hesitation. If you’re weak in mind and body, we aren’t interested”
Sukea smiled “ i can easily gain information from the opponent. remain cool headed and think of the best strategies to bring and my comrades closer to the goal. and take a good photograph now and then. “ Sukea took out his camera and hold it a bit up to demonstrate. Tobi let out a small snicker. Pain chooses to ignore him.
“Your words mean nothing. However, I shall give you a chance to show how useful you can be on the battlefield. ” pain said. “If you survive you can stay. “
“ Deidara -” Konan called him. Deidara leaned against the wall, smirking. “Don’t die too fast, newbie. It would be a waste of clay.”
Sukea exhaled softly. Figures.
And suddenly deidara molded two clay beasts and sent them forward “ let me show you what real art is!” Deidara then scratched his nose as if the win was already guaranteed.
“ ps they are a bit explosive. “
In one motion Kakashi stepped back smacking his hands on the ground “earth style, mud wall!”
The explosion from the clay monsters slammed against the mud wall releasing a big cloud of dust and smoke across the room. “Hmm - I said don't die too fast, newbie. it would be a waste of clay otherwise.” Deidara remarked.
Meanwhile Kakashi used the cloud out of smoke and dust as his cover and appeared behind Deidara in such a short time.
“Hah forget it! I won’t make it that easy for you.” As soon as Deidara said that he throwed small bombs out of clay on Kakashi, forcing Kakashi to dodge by taking several steps to the back.
Small chuckles could be heard in the back which made Kakashi somewhat anxious, was someone seriously laughing…
Well, he couldn't reveal his usual attacks, it's an instant giveaway, so yes, he already guessed to appear like an amateur to the eyes who were watching him nevertheless it was humiliating.
He shouldn't waste his time especially in a situation like this but he couldn't resist the urge to sneak a peak at the one who was apparently not amazed by Kakashi's combat skills.
The moment Kakashi glanced over to the person the voice belonged to he froze.
Seriously … Kakashi thought THAT GUY OUT OF EVERYONE.
it was the one with the orange mask. Tobi.
If Kakashi had to guess he would say that Tobi is definitely one of the weakest members of the Akatsuki, he had no right to be laughing-
and as it looks like Kakashi had no time to be focusing on that topic at the moment since he had better things to be focusing on, something like his opponent Deidara; who took Kakashi out of his thoughts with a punch of a clay monster.
