"Where do I go?"
For Phrolova, she knew no longer. Cristoforo's Script still goes on, but she has taken exit stage left.
She walked aimlessly for the first few days, only stopping to observe the humans who passed on by.
Her dream is still far away. The Beyond lives up to its name.
"What do you think, Hecate?" she asked, as she leaned on a particularly large tree.
"..." her loyal companion offered its opinion, spoken not by words, but by song.
"...You are right. A perfect time for us... well. Any time, now." she smiled bitterly.
In her hand, she held the Lycoris loftly, and within seconds, a melody sprung forth.
In the past, ones of destruction, sorrow, and of loneliness. This one, however, held something else.
It wasn't until a few moment passed that she realised someone else's melody intertwined with her's. Phrolova's music was always orderly, even among chaos; this intertwining tune, though...
It was wild. Untamed. Free.
"Hm." Phrolova halted her performance, walking to the one interfering.
Soon, she came across a rock, and a figure playing a lute. A faint memory played in the back of Phrolova's head, of red-hair and greeny.
She seemed unaware of the former Conductor's presence. Upon moving a step too close, however, she turned around to meet her eye.
"Oh, hello there!" she greeted cheerfully. "Not everyday day I attract an audience."
"...You play well." Phrolova replied. "Wild, yet with intent."
"Oh, so you're the one who was playing with me!" she realised. "Sorry, it's just not every day I meet someone with a music-based Forte, heh."
"For the record, it was you who performed with me, but I digress; why would a talented musician such as yourself be doing out in the wilderness?"
"Pot to the kettle," a cheeky grin. Phrolova's eye twitched at it. "...Not funny?"
"...I am wandering." Phrolova replied.
"As am I," the bard replied. "Oh, right! My name is Ciaccona, a wandering bard. May I have yours, my fellow wanderer?"
"I am..." she paused for a moment. Revealing her true name would be obvious. For now...
"...Hecate."
"Interesting name... sorry if this comes off rude but, you're not from Rinascita, are you?"
"You are correct. My home is of no importance."
"Oho, a mystery, are we? Don't worry, I won't press."
After a moment, Ciaccona strummed her lute. "Say, I quite enjoyed our impromptu duet: care to continue, Hecate?"
She could have said no, and just gone on her way. Still...
"I do not see why not. Let us see how well our harmonies can work together."
"Heh, well said!" an award-winning smile. It made Phrolova feel ill.
...Oh well.
