Chapter 1: prologue

Chapter Text

Mizumoto
From the Japanese 水 (mizu), meaning “water,” and 本 (moto), meaning “base, root, origin.”

For decades, the Mizumoto family lived a simple life in a small village on the outskirts of Musutafu. Since their quirk allowed them to manipulate water in all its forms, they used it to help the community with working the land and fishing. As a family, their guiding principle was to help others.

It didn’t take long for them to stand out for the range of their quirk; which grew stronger with each generation. Among them, one name rose above the rest: Takeo Mizumoto.

Takeo quickly recognized the extent of his potential. Through unshakeable dedication, he earned the recognition he deserved. His name was often mentioned alongside renowned heroes like All Might and Endeavor.

His dream was simple: to use his quirk to help those in need. In time, that path led him to become the Chief of Musutafu’s Fire Department.

In a world obsessed with rankings and glory, Takeo became an inspiration, not through fame, but through his strength. Proving that greatness isn’t always tied to the race for the #1 Hero title, but rather to the heart that seeks to protect others.

Unfortunately, not all promising stories have a happy ending.

On a full moon night, in the stillness before dawn, the peaceful home of the Mizumoto family was brutally invaded by villains. This terrifying attack nearly wiped out their bloodline. What once was a warm, loving home was reduced to ashes.

As authorities combed through the wreckage, a heavy cloud of uncertainty hung in the air, intensified by the absence of Takeo Mizumoto's body. Why did the villains attack his family? Could Takeo have escaped? Or worse, could he be involved?

As the investigation unfolded, another piece of the mystery emerged. Just a few meters from the house, Tsuki Mizumoto, Takeo’s daughter, was found unconscious.

On that beautiful full moon night, Tsuki became the last confirmed heir of the Mizumoto lineage. And despite her young age, her heart was flooded with grief and a relentless thirst for vengeance.
