Desta was as normal as a girl could be. She had four older siblings and two little siblings. She loved her momma and papa, she trusted them. They'd never hurt or abandon her right?
Wrong. After her fourth birthday, they moved. From Ethiopia, to a place called America. She had been confused. Why had they moved? 'It doesn't matter why. We just did' her parents would say when she asked.
soon, years passed by in a blur, her older siblings grew up and took care of all the new younger siblings. Meanwhile she faded into the background.
