Chapter Text
“That’ll be $20.45” I pulled my purse out of my bag and paid for my drink. A large blue raspberry lemonade. I passed the waiter a small smile. Placing my purse back inside my bag, I walked over and grabbed the drink. I sat down, placing the drink on the table and pulled out my laptop. I opened it and started going through the emails and Financial reports while sipping my drink.
I glanced up from my work when I heard the door swing open, force of habit, I suppose. I didn’t mean to stare, not really, but I couldn't look away. Not when my brain recognized him just by the way he walked into the café. He was wearing a light blue button up styled with a tie and a sweater. He had a brown cap covering most of his short, messy hair. He glanced around the café, while making his order. Probably wanted to avoid the paparazzi
I finally managed to peel my eyes away from him and redirect the focus onto my work. It didn’t last long because my mind kept getting distracted by him. I looked back, just for a split second and our eyes met and I felt my world just stop. He turned back, when the barista called his name. I watched as the barista handed him his drink. It looked like a matcha latte. He grabbed the drink and left the store.
I turned back, trying hard to focus on my work, the countless emails and reports piling on my laptop.
Later that day, when I clocked into the office, he was still in the back of my mind.
