"Taehyung-hyung is like my long-lost roommate."
Namjoon stopped whatever he was reading mid-sentence and looked up at the wooden part overhead that was the top bunk. He scoffed, "Gee thanks, Jungkook."
The maknae's head popped out upside-down beside Namjoon, with big eyes and visible bunny teeth that all the members hoped he'd never grow out off, "No, hyung! I didn't mean it like I hated you as my roommate it's just this feeling with him. Like similar to soulmates except it's on roomie terms, y'know?"
"No, I don't know. And I especially did not want to know how you feel like Taehyung is your soulmate."
"Not soulmate, long-lost roommate. It's entirely different."
From his tone of voice, Namjoon knew that Jungkook wasn't so sure about the difference either.
Jungkook woke up with brown locks tickling his nose. He wrinkled his nose and blearily forced his eyes open, not surprised to see Taehyung sprawled all over him. He groans from the weight and tries to push him off, "Hyung, you really have to stop sneaking into my bed at night."
Taehyung frowned, making Jungkook try to erase all similarities to a puppy, and only hugged him tighter, "Shhh...pillows don't talk..."
"They do if they're human."
Finally, Taehyung raised his head from his collarbone and smiled sleepily up at him, "My pillow's not a human...he's a big...fluffy...bunny." After his declaration, he was giggling non-stop, clearly half-awake.
Jungkook tried to hide the flush on his cheeks by rolling his eyes and shifted around the bed for a more comfortable position; wherein his arm wasn't asleep from his hyung's weight. The two stayed still for a while, blinking slowly at the dust collecting around them from the sunshine seeping through the curtains. Normally, Jungkook would be carrying Taehyung and dump him on his own bed but today he was just too tired to care. Plus there was something on his mind since last night that really kept him up.
"Hey, wanna hear something crazy?" Jungkook asked, words muffled by the brown head but knew that Taehyung had understood when the other shrugged, "I told Namjoon-hyung that you were my long-lost roommate but he took it as me calling you my soulmate. Weird, right?"
Taehyung mumbled something but his voice was too low for him so he pulled on his exposed ear to make him repeat, "I don't think it's weird."
"No, yeah. Not weird--just--crazy."
Suddenly Taehyung's face was right in front of his in a flash. Jungkook stopped breathing from how close they were, so close that he could clearly trace a line through Taehyung's moles. He always said he hated how they were spread out so awkwardly but to Jungkook he could move his eyes across them all day.
"You know what's even crazier?" Taehyung grinned, resembling a cat this time, "I kinda agree with Namjoonie-hyung."
