Chapter Text
April 24th, 2275
He had always thought the worst day in his life was the day his sworn friend died.
Tonight, Sorahiko retracted that statement as he stared down at the lifeless young woman on the ground. She looked so much like her mother, although she had inherited her father’s blue hair. Her purple eyes were empty, her skin had gone death pale and an expression frozen in determination.
His goddaughter was dead. At the hands of the same villain whom his friend fought to death.
“Yes, her name is-was Hinata Fuka, born as Shimura Fuka.” The old hero confirmed the dead woman’s identity.
“Thank you, Gran Torino-san.” One of the police officers at the crime scene said as he noted this down. “Endeavor has already confirmed the identity of the male victim, Dr. Hinata Hoshimaru.”
“What about their daughter?”
There was evidence that there had been a child involved, but she was nowhere to be found. It was as if Fuka’s little daughter had disappeared into thin air.
“The police along with Pro Heroes are scanning the area and nearby locations to find the girl. Endeavor has already made the orders to find the girl, sir!”
Sorahiko wanted to scoff. Endeavor…as if he was the boss of everyone. He was only here out of personal interest, because Dr. Hinata had been his closest and only friend. The only reason why All Might wasn’t here at the crime scene is because he forbade him from coming. There was no one to save, they had two dead victims and one missing child. Everything was either in flames or turned into ashes.
The car was totaled, torn apart and shattered. There were cracks in the pavement and scattered debris. The ground was stained by blood. The culprit had taken their time to torture the victims, let them fight to death…toyed around with them.
Sorahiko knew this was his work, the place practically reeked of him.
‘All For One finally found you then…’ he thought grimly as he reached a hand to close Fuka’s eyes. ‘Looks like you put up a fight yourself, Fuka. Foolish girl…didn’t I say that keeping your surname in the open goes against your mother’s wishes? Didn’t I tell you what your mother gave up for your sake?’ He couldn’t find it in himself to scold her further, not when his own heart had shattered for the second time. His own goddaughter…she and her husband had been tortured and then slaughtered by that monster.
He had never believed in any deity or been overly religious at all, but Sorahiko still prayed to any god that the girl was safe somewhere and not in that devil’s hands.
