Post-study Cuddles

Summary:

Ghiaccio sleeps at your house during high school to teach you physics. What he didn't expect is to wake up by your side, cuddling.

Notes:

Second fanfic ever. Wow, I'm a terribly slow writer, last time I wrote was two fandoms ago

Work Text:

School was the most boring thing in the world for you. You just couldn't like it; it felt exhausting, unappealing, and it sucked all your life energy out of you. But for your friend, Ghiaccio, it was exciting. He participated in every school tournament, studied in between classes and at home, paid attention to class, and actually *tried*, unlike you. So, you decide to ask him to teach you physics, a subject you struggle in. Eventually, you two agreed to meet each other at your house on Saturday, and pull an all-nighter to study.

In hindsight, you probably shouldn't have agreed upon an all-nighter. Both you and Ghiaccio slept really easily; you, due to your medicine, which made you sleepy, and Ghiaccio, due to his healthy lifestyle. But it's fine. What could go wrong? The thought of sleeping together with Ghiaccio excited you, after all! Maybe you should've phrased that better.

Saturday came, and you were sitting in your room, scrolling on your phone when suddenly, the doorbell rang. You immediately got up, running towards the door and opening it to the sight of the other blue haired boy. He was dressed in casual clothes; a gray hoodie, with the hood off, some sweatpants and sneakers. And obviously, his thick red glasses, which made him look even more nerdy than usual. His hair was combed into tidy spirals with the occasional hair peeking out of them, making him look just as stupid as he always was when the subject was human interaction.

“Ghiaccio, come in!” You held out the door for him, inviting him in. He scratched the back of his neck and walked inside, leaving his blue colored sneakers on the entrance.

“Been a long time since we went to each other's house.” He commented, and you snickered. “So... you want me to teach you physics, eh?” With a nod, you begin walking towards your room.

“Yeah, that's it. Come on!” Your hand moved on its own, egging Ghiaccio to come with you.

You two ran in only your socks up the dark wooden stairs, to a mahogany wood door, opening it to reveal your room; carpeted with colorful rugs with posters on the wall, a tidy comfortable bed with very thick blankets, a desk with a laptop — one of those ancient ones from a few years ago — and a window leading to the outside.

You look back at Ghiaccio, hands behind your back. He had never been in your house before, and you hoped he at least complimented your room. Fortunately, he stuttered out, “Nice room.” while readjusting his red glasses. He walked towards the bed, sitting on the edge with legs crossed. You were both seniors, and though you had had 3 to 4 years to understand physics, you still struggled. It was evident in Ghiaccio's face, he thought you were an idiot. Though, you couldn't care less.

“Let me grab the books,” You sang, kneeling down near the cabinet under the desk. You opened the second drawer and pulled out a few colored books and a notebook, together with some pens. Once all had been put on the bed, you began to open the books to the questions which you had doubts about. You pointed to an especially complicated one and looked at Ghiaccio. “I've been struggling with this one for a while. The answer sheet at the end of the book says the answer is 10 m/s, but every method I use gives a different result.”

Ghiaccio looked at you, then at the question, then at you again, glaring at you like you were the dumbest person in the world. “Are you serious? This is simple stuff! We learned this when we were freshmen!” His tone of voice clearly soured the mood, but in a counter effort, you giggled and scratched the back of your head.

“Sorry… I have bad memory,” You explained, pointing at the problem again, finger indicating where to read, “Look, my biggest problem is that it says to use the geometrical method, not the normal one. You know… using triangles and stuff,” You sighed. “I'm not good with that.”

Ghiaccio sighs back at you, picking up the book. He began to explain, step by step, how to solve the equation and wrote down each formula that was used. Surprisingly, he was patient — well, as patient as he could be — even with that glare and frown on his face. Once you were done, you thanked him and moved on to the next problem. Question after question, you two began to solve each of the problems in the book, before finally finishing it entirely. It took an entire afternoon, sure, and Ghiaccio yelled at you a few times, but you did it. Now it's time for the actual sleepover.

“So,” Ghiaccio started, “What do you want to do now?” He got comfortable in your bed, leaning against the pillows with hands behind his head and crossed legs.

You mused, bringing a finger to your chin, “Well, we could always watch TV,” Glancing at the TV, you thought of another idea. “Or we could play video games! I've been really into Devil May Cry lately.”

“Isn't that the game Risotto and Formaggio like?” He made a face at you.

“Pretty much, yeah. But it's super fun! You should try it.” You smiled, inviting him. He shook his head.

“I'd rather watch TV,” He commented. “I haven't been playing any games as of late. I can try Devil May Cry later.”

So it began. You nodded, turned on the TV, and laid down next to Ghiaccio. You began watching a new show you two were really looking forward to for months. The sky outside the window began to darken, beginning to show the beautiful, sprinkled white stars over the house, and the main actor; the moon! Sometimes you found yourself glancing away from the TV to look at the moon outside the window. It started to get pretty late, and you both went down for dinner before going up again to continue your show-watching. At one moment, you told Ghiaccio, who was half asleep, that you'd be getting them some candy downstairs. Once you came back, you found him soundly asleep in your bed, sleeping like a recently born baby. The sight made your heart warm. You laid down next to him, cuddling up to his limp body and laying your head on his chest. It was warm… Really, really warm.

And then you fell asleep.

When you woke up, you were laying next to Ghiaccio, with him holding your waist and you holding his, with your head still on his chest. You woke up first, but you didn't really want to dislodge yourself from him. So you stayed, smiling softly to yourself.

But this moment only lasted a little bit, before Ghiaccio woke up and saw exactly what had been going on while he was asleep. His face almost instantly turned red, not from anger this time, but from embarrassment. It's not that he didn't like it; he did, he loved it more than anything, but… It was his best friend he was talking about. He couldn't... they couldn't…

“What are you doing?” His tone made you flinch.

You finally let go and leaned back. “Uhh. I was just, y’know…” You chuckled and smiled nervously, “… We just woke up like that. I didn't, you know, do anything.”

“… Uh huh. Sure.” He groans, hiding his blushed face. “Sure, sure.”
