“You have gotten in my way long enough, now! Carry the burden of your actions!” The two Uchiha bickered, as it seems. An abundance of abstract heaven blinds the eye of mangekyo. It could be almost described as ethereal but given the current context, it’d be questioned.
“You only momentarily forsaken me because of your intentions. So be it.”
The Akatsuki stood still and seemed to accept it. The undiscovered light deteriorates and soon buries Itachi. He isn’t a fool, no, far from that. He is knowledgeable enough to acknowledge this isn’t a mere genjutsu.
But a familiar, yet concerning jutsu.
“See you soon, Uchiha.” The farewell of a fake voice, perhaps an imitation of a high stature that even mentioned, could be treacherous. The infamous Madara Uchiha, or believed to be so. Itachi knew better than that. Such information, if shared, would cause havoc. Especially if it were to be heard by the wrong ears. Many fail to believe what the masked man claims to be, no one as old as Madara would even exist, considering the extensive age he would be if he were alive.
In the blinding blazing light, that could even be mistaken as a star as a whole. He stood amiss among it. The only thing Itachi saw would well be interpreted as vividly disturbing. The only thing that wasn’t concealing his face, the circular hole. The cursed irises of a kekkei genkai. Amongst the deep dark mist of that specific area, a vicious sharingan staring back with condemnation.
Itachi’s expression told the other Uchiha that he couldn’t care even a single bit, thus he let the pain of light consume spiritually, mentally, and physically.
…
He laid on the ground motionless, arms spread out like a starfish. The air felt, the sounds, his sight, and generally everything felt a little off.
Itachi got up off the ground, his head felt as if the world was revolving. That’s the last thing he gave thought to. Beneath him was grass, and around him, trees and bushes. The area around him looked secluded.
This world strangely felt.. Contemporary. Due to the beautiful orange skies, dawn was getting close.
“This place looks abandoned..” He examined every aspect of the setting, and his sharingan could be of help. Yet he used it quite a lot with his little fight before.
He jumped on to a branch of a tree and started jumping to other branches. He continued until he spotted a huge building not far away.
Miles away from his original spot, his legs didn’t feel all that exhausted despite running non stop. Dawn was now settled down and entirely here.
The Uchiha stopped abruptly and took a second to fully examine the structure, he calculated an estimated 25- 30 feet high. And not to mention huge in length.
With this information in mind, he sprinted fast until it was closer.
“It’s a blue building, and with some unknown metal mechanics nearby.. Where did he send me to?” He whispered thoughtfully.
By far, this isn’t the usual shinobi world Itachi was familiar with. Putting that thought aside, he saw an entrance, doors, looks welcoming right?
He sighed abruptly, 'I know I shouldn't, this place is very much unknown to me.’ He tentatively got a hold of the metal doorknob. Once a few awkward seconds passed by, he opened slowly. Thus, curiosity got the best of him.
Now fully opened, he looked around. New but not surprising one bit. An abundance of Dusty shelves everywhere and also opened and unopened boxes.
This place looked absolutely dead, Itachi's face was indescribable. With no interest whatsoever, he walked in whatever direction until he quickly picked up a sound of commotion. He arrived in front of two dark swinging doors with dirty windows.
He passed through them without a single thought, and when he did bright white lights also almost permanently blinded his almost demolished eyes. With his sense blocked for a second, he gave a minute to hear everything. Some sort of chatter, the sounds of walking and obnoxious music.
He immediately opened his eyes and saw some sort of contemporary store. He walked around and checked out everything
‘Great chance, this building is just merely a huge store, oh legendary six paths, why is it so spacious? Where in Konoha did I appear in, could such a place even be called Konoha?’ Itachi was thinking deeply, totally unaware of the stares he was getting.
Consider it, what would you do if you saw a 5’10 (ish) guy with a well built structure of a body? And not to mention, a long cloak with a suspicious aura. In a hellish paradise they call-
“Wal.. mart?..” Itachi mouthed the unspoken word in utter bewilderment, he took away his gaze from the huge presenting sign and focused on everything around him.
A modern place had the randomest items, well in Itachi’s perspective.
In the area he was around, he was surrounded by various dog toys and chow.
“Seems as if it’s for domesticated dogs.. Aren’t these things required for the ninja mutt’s?” While in deep thought.. He completely ignored some people that were staring at him who didn’t try to hide it whatsoever.
“Why is that guy dressed so… unusual?”
“He looks like he’s in a cult or something.”
He walked away from the commotion, or, out of range to hear their obnoxious complaints of his current attire. And while he was at it, he activated his mangekyo on the person prior.
‘So it does work here..’
After minutes of mindless walking around, the variety of items no longer were a part of Itachi’s interest. Itachi came to the conclusion that this was a mere waste of time. The shinobi could be wandering outside of this hellish retail store and could gather some intel that could be of potential use.
First, he needed to find an exit.
He quickly walked to the north of the building. Past the weird technology cashier thingies, and beyond the consumers, which were still giving him weird looks. Just as the man was about to walk past the detectors, a kunai flew at the detectors. Itachi immediately turned around and jumped back.
He didn’t need to look twice at the weapon. He already identified it. Then Itachi ran towards the direction of the weapon, his battle instincts now kicking in. Just as he ran, he found the person who commenced the attack. He proceeded to chase after a running figure, whatever it was, Itachi wanted to catch up to it. He felt as if interrogation could possibly answer the questions that kept piling up in his mind.
Then it came to a stop. Itachi figured that the person led him here. “Tell me stranger, why did you throw that kunai? Despite that your aim is lacking in skills, that tells me nothing more but that act was on purpose. Is it not?” Itachi walked up to the person, now he was a few feet away from the unidentified person. He couldn’t distinguish their facial features due to the mask that covered up their face.
A slow devious laugh emerged from the depths of his mouth. Itachi stood unphased.
“A man haphazardly fell into another world by a premature act. Ha! Itachi Uchiha, last time we crossed paths didn’t result in great terms, you resented my apprentice and tried to prevent me from carrying off your brother. He is very special to you, I can see that clear as day. No matter what fierce facade you showcase.”
He already understood. One of his brethren is standing against him, out of all of the things to occur. Despite the circumstances, he wasn’t surprised. A man of his reputation, something lacking prudent judgment. A resilient determined dream undermines almost all, for his values. Uchiha Madara.
“You know very well the logic, I have my own reasons to my motives. Regarding him, someone that you deceived is much more than enough to carry out your tremendous intentions.” Itachi repiled
“He, Tobi, as you may know him. The Tsukuyomi needs all that I deceive and of course he is nothing but a pawn. But Sasuke? He is well immersed in the unrighteous due to his late upbringing there is more of potential use. Dare I say, even as a duo..?” Madara lifted up his weapon, positioned it vertically in such a way that if he swung, it could destroy the centerpiece concealing his face.
Itachi continued to stably stand upright, albeit he noticed. “Just as he killed the one who trained him along with influence, how are you sure he isn’t going to do the exact same thing to you as well?”
“Well, you may never know until you act. Is it any different that I, as well, betrayed the Senju that I grew up with?” Madara swiftly appeared in the front view of Itachi's eyes, a few steps away, but way more closer than before.
“Who I am to judge, Itachi?” He enunciated his name with hidden malice.
Then, in the same position his weapon was in before, he swung it down with immense strength with little effort.
“Don’t worry, this fight won’t be anything more than a mere test of strength and abilities. If you truly have what you call ‘love’ for whom you discussed it. I look forward to seeing your skills up close, and determine if you're really worthy of fighting..”
That same strength broke his mask.
“Those eyes won’t triumph against me.” He activated his visual prowess and took a battle stance that Itachi analyzed well, so well that he predicted Madara was going to strike with a 45 degree kick done with his left leg.
Itachi initially had his sharingan in use, and could see through his attack easily, despite his deteriorating
eyesight.
All of those days of being in the Anbu black ops taught him a variety of things, along with the skills of being a young war veteran, which had its effects and consequences that resulted in questionable aspects in Itachi. Nonetheless, he reacted to Madara’s attack quite fast, thus his prediction being propitious.
“You really know how to counter attack, well, It’s what i expected from one of my kin” Itachi began avoiding and defending himself against Madara’s mild attacks, described as how Itachi interpreted it.
Madara ran up to Itachi and swung at his neck then followed the weapon being smacked at the shelves, trying to take his attention away from him for even a second. Itachi avoided once more by jumping backwards.
He looked at him and proceeded to sign a recognizable jutsu, of course Itachi knew it all too well. The infamous fire ball jutsu.
It almost grazed Itachi’s face, the distance between them was tremendous, but even so the fire was dangerously close. Thanks to the conveniently placed shopping cart in front of him, it resulted in the shopping cart taking the majority of the damage caused by the Jutsu.
For stalling and protecting himself until the fight comes to an end, he couldn’t rely on his sharingan for genjutsu. He came to that conclusion when thinking about the possibilities of fighting the infamous Uchiha, he had the rinnegan in his possession, intense battle skills, and deflecting and detecting skills for any genjutsu. Well, if it gets out of control, he will resort to offense, which is undoubtedly bound to happen.
For now, Itachi could hold up with the level of attacks Madara was throwing at him.
Madara again, went close to Itachi, went for a punch, kick, then a punch to the stomach, but this time at an unimaginable speed. Itachi blocked the first two, then accepted the punch to the stomach, he saw an opening for an attack. He retaliated by punching him quickly at the nose.
Both of the uchihas read each other's movements, and so they jumped on top of the dusty shelves. As if they were regular forest trees they were familiar with, they started jumping and running to each one that was in their peripheral vision and infront.
“I see, you're now retaliating, now this is more intriguing. A battle between my brethren will be more entertaining than I anticipated” They continued sprinting. As for the surrounding people around, the witnesses were running away from the scene. Some watched in curiosity, or had nothing better to do. From the wrath of the battle, some products ended up on the ground or even some shopping carts.
Despite all the commotion the consumers were seeing before them, the two elephants in the room were still persisting in the battle. With minor care for what was happening around them.
“Your presence is not of much concern in this peculiar time, yet I will prevent this fight in the future.” Itachi knew well that Madara was controlling the strings in this timeline, thus it wasn’t much of a coincidence that Tobi directed him here. Madara himself has even conceded that some sort of alliance was between them, and it was an obviously pure parasitic connection.
“Has this minor battle of testing altered you regretful? Come on Itachi.” Madara said his name as if he spat out poison.
Madara and Itachi stopped their intense retaliation amongst self check-out machines. Itachi knew he was backed up in a corner, a general disadvantage. There was no way in hades that Itachi himself would hold himself against the contrary.
Itachi reacted swiftly when Madara proceeded to effortlessly pick up a self-checkout machine and throw it at Itachi. In the bottomless pit of his insatiable desire to fight, Madara threw ten more.
The fight almost took an entire day. It wasn’t long before Itachi would grow to be delirious. Meanwhile his opponent looked as if he could go on for weeks.
He watched as Madara threw shoppimg carts his way, it looked as if he wasn’t satisfied yet..
Itachi swore a prominent oath that he would never touch this jutsu. Similar to other forbidden jutsu’s, It consists of sealing away the opposing side for 6 or 9 moons. And for such limited time, the jutsu wouldn’t permanently cast away the one responsible for the jutsu
“Trithirds seal.. how wonderful.” Madara muttered under his breath.
The other uchiha stood there,
“Your brother has endured much of the tramua you put him through.. My proposition will doing nothing in comparsion to your actions.” Itachi slightly smiled after hearing that.
“If i recalled about our history..” Itachi began then left the sentence on a cliff hanger. Madara chuckled ominiously.
“Your stronger than I thought, maybe now I’ll reconsider exasperating shinobi like you.. Quarrel just for the entertainment.”
“So be it.” Itachi commenced the jutsu.
