Work Text:
You never liked the loud noises of clubs but you came nevertheless, knowing your long time crush will be there that night. You put on some clothes you found yourself attractive in and took extra care of your hairstyle to look perfect. Tonight is going to be the night when you’ll be noticed by them. You told yourself over and over to hype yourself up while arriving at the club. It was full of youngsters wanting to let go of some stress through partying so you tried to find a corner that wasn’t too crowded.
Unfortunately the spot granted you a perfect view on your crush who was flirting with someone else. You felt like an utter fool for dressing up nicely, getting your hair done and your hopes up while coming here to maybe change something yet you needed to face the reality – that person never had you in their thoughts, not even for a glance. You took place in the empty seats as everyone around you was dancing while you were drowning in misery. Suddenly the music shifted, it was one of your favourite songs. You looked around and by coincidence your eyes met with a pair of purple irises that belonged to a handsome man with short blue hair and a beauty mark under his right eye. He was probably some kind of celebrity, you didn’t follow those kind of things too much as you were more occupied with your 2D interests than real idols so you obviously had no idea he was Fushimi Yuzuru. The man walked over and stopped in front of you on the corner of the dancefloor.
„May I ask you for a dance?” He asked. You glanced at your crush enjoying themselves with the partner they found then glanced back to the blue haired man who gave you a sympathetic look before speaking up. „So? Will you join me on the dance floor?”
You shyly nodded and followed the blue haired man who was seemingly well-mannered. His dance moves were flawless, it made your suspicion of him being some kind of celebrity be closer to be deemed true but you weren’t going to ask. His identity didn’t matter; the only thing that mattered was how you could get lost in his purple eyes or how it was enjoyable to watch him dancing along the beat. You joined in although not with that level of skill. At first you felt awkward and he seemed a bit restricted but as the music went on you both became more free, just purely enjoying yourselves, shutting out the outside world. Nothing else held important in the moment, just the beat of the music and the two of you in the least crowded corner of the dance floor. Seemed like an eternity yet it all ended so quickly, all too quickly. After the song changed to another he politely thanked for the dance and went on his way, joining a pink haired short boy who pouted at him.
Without even realising you didn’t think about your crush-no, now former crush – anymore however you promised yourself to check out some celebrity pages, especially the ones about ones working in music related industries since he must have been doing dance or music as a profession you deducted from the short time you spent together. Who knows, maybe this time you’ll get interest in idols from reality as well.
