Kim Dan has always had a liking for rainy days, although today, he liked them a little more.
The rain was pitter-pattering against the cold, condensed window in the cheap motel that Dan had rented out for the night. The cold A/C air was on blast due to Kim Dan trying to take full advantage of the perks of a motel, and although he was shivering and covered in two fluffy blankets on top of the motel bed, he still refused to turn the A/C off.
The door opened with a slow, tantalizing creak, revealing a tall figure that filled the doorway. "Jaekyung-ah," Kim Dan called out softly to his now-lover. A slight blush cascaded on Jaekyung's face, and he replied back to his partner in the same loving tone. "H-Hyung.." Kim Dan smiled at Jaekyung's nervous tone, and opened his arms, beckoning to his lover to come closer.
Jaekyung walked over and snuggled in between Dan's affectionate arms. In contrast to the room's cold, chilling temperature, Dan's body was warm and comforting, allowing Jaekyung to fully melt into his arms. "How was your day?" Dan questioned Jaekyung, to which he replied with a tight squeeze around Dan's chest. "Not bad, but.." Jaekyung paused, his flushed face gaining a deeper shade of red, and his heartbeat fastening up. Dan's lips twitched into a knowing grin. "Continue." Dan prodded his shy lover gently, and he finally managed to mumble out a slight 'I missed you’.
Kim Dan chuckled and put his arms around Jaekyung's face, burying him completely in his chest, and pressing a kiss to his temple. "Of course you did," he murmured, his thumb tracing slow, tempting circles on jaekyung's nape.
Jaekyung tilted his head slightly, his eyes shining with the dimmed reflection of the nightstand lamp near them. "You didn't miss me?"
Dan didn't answer immediately. Instead, he just looked at him. The way his eyes shined so vividly, the way his t-shirt was defining his body, almost screaming to the world that he's perfect, and the way his lips trembled faintly when he was nervous, just like now. The thunder roaring across the sky outside was mirroring Dan's emotions in that moment.
"How could I not?" He finally replied. The rain outside along with the occasional thunder grew louder, as if trying to drown out the sounds of what came next.
